I saw the PPD had Jackson St blocked this morning at about 11 am or so.
Had no idea what might have happened.
Thanx

12:08 There seems to be a news blackout on this? Learning some off of Facebook posts. Will not print anything until facts and names can be verified. It is a sad day in Painesville.

I have more than casual interest in the shooting on Maplewood Court, since it took place on the property of a family who is related to my sister by marriage. She gave me the details about the shooting Monday afternoon, after being informed by one of her relatives earlier in the day. Without revealing too much information, it involved a dispute between relatives that turned into a heated argument, and ended with gunfire. I can't say I'm surprised, because parties involved in this mess are well-known by local law enforcement, and not in a good way. The fact that they weren't in jail for the previous things they've done is a sad indictment of the legal system around here.

Why have there been no arrests or further information on the Elliot Spikes murder? The whole incident just seems to have been brushed under the rug and forgotten.
