"BOTH SIDES NOW" joni mitchell

I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down and still somehow
It's cloud's illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all...

No one is chimed in on why these illegal's should be allowed to stay?

Maybe they believe they are to good for this site?

Here is a story we all should think about.

First off it is not anyone's 'Right' to live in this country, it is a 'Privilege'
for us receive this privilege just by the fact of being born here. Seems like a low bar to become an American citizen.

With this 'Privilege comes 'Responsibility' to continue to make America the greatest country in the world.  When someone is invaded we show up, when famine hits, we show up when natural disaster's happen , we show up. Never in the history of the world has there ever been a country of our greatness.

Now the story;

Last week the United States Navy took possession of  the guided missile destroyer Rafael Peralta., named for the valiant San Diego Marine killed in Iraq in 2004.

For his valor of saving three member's of his unit he received the Navy Cross.

Peralta's mother Rosa is the sponsor of the destroyer, A great naval honor, she will bestow the name upon the warship during it's formal commission.

Born in Mexico City in 1979, Perala's family brought him to the United States. A graduate of Samuel F.B. Morse High School who later attended San Diego Community College. Peralta did not receive his  green card until he enlisted in the Marines in 2000 but he died an American citizen.

This young Marine understood Privilege and Responsibility...." Semper Fi"

We can only hope 11:24 doesn't think Mexico is taking over our Navy?

And the three Marines he saved weren't Hispanic.

A green card does not make one a citizen, only a permanent resident. maybe he applied for citizenship afterward I don't know but I wanted to point this out to you. A green card does not give you a right to vote and possibly other things.

No Way, that is impossible. All we hear is how difficult the path to legal citizenship is. How come they did but those cant find their way properly now. Even with all the help out there, HOLA, attorney Wong, Leopold, ETC. {BTW this is sarcasm}

Peralta became a naturalized citizen while in the Marine Corps. Yes, a green card does not make one a citizen, but it certainly gave him the right to join the military and eventually die for his new homeland, didn't it?

Anyone see a few problems with the Lunch Box program in the paper? First, I know its a grant (grants are not free thanks to us taxpayers) OK, two vehicles and 3 employees. Waste of fuel so that one person stays for the strays that cant be on time and then to clean up after them. Sad. Another was the babysitter. Most people, at least me and my family, pay the sitter to watch and feed children. Be it bringing their own food or the sitter serving it. BUT...the sitter sponges free food off taxpayers while being paid to sit the children. Sounds This may sound petty but you can see where this is going. She's double dipping. Shame.

3:42 My only question on the Lunch Box Program is how cost effective it is? What kind of number's are generated. I did notice two vehicles involved with the program.

5:44 You are absolutely correct.
