Yesterday Union Pacific Railroad announced they were cutting 500 managers as well as another 250 railroad employee's in a move to save the company 110 million dollars.
The move comes due to weak growth in freight shipments and a large drop in coal shipments.
Union Pacific one of the big four. UP, BNSF, CSX, and NS railroads. NS and CSX also have already announced cuts in labor. ( visit NS coal dock in Ashtabula)
I guess my question is how is the coal expansion our President keeps telling us about is getting to it's destination?
And how long are some of you going to believe this snake-oil salesman lies?
Seems the business people on his roundtable disbanded? Well not to be slighted HE disbanded it first? After they told the White House they quit!
I have no idea how long good Republicans as well as their legislators will stick with this President but truth be told Everything on the agenda is now in jeopardy!

Interesting segue from coal to domestic terrorism.

Yes, the coal facility in Ashtabula is beyond sad for any rail fan.
Coal, fossil,fuels, lay offs ...... listened to a woman at a town hall who gavel Gore an ear full. Seems she is very aware of climate change and realizes all issues surrounding burning coal and agreed with Mr Gore. Then she said; but I am a coal miner from Wyoming and I need a job and I have to keep mining to feed my family.
Well hello Mr Trump! Here is your chance to retrain and put programs in place!
This will be the norm as coal moves further down the list of resource demands. Along with the norm of more and more people out of work, not looking good for a future in coal and fossil fuels is it?
Why not a transition instead of a knee jerk reaction where 1,000's of families will need to be displaced and retrained or go on social welfare.

First things first, no President (Obama or Trump or anyone else) creates jobs. The jobs are created, by others, on their watch.
I don't know about you but my investments are doing quite well in 2017. Now, I am NOT a Trump fan but my money is making money so I am pretty happy.
The Ashtabula coal docks used to be full of hoppers coming and going. There were a couple of trains per day. Now there might be two trains per week and the yard is generally empty. The yard in Carson is totally empty as well. I "think" I read that the coal traffic remaining is going west to Huron or somewhere. It used to be fun to sit at Point Park and watch the cars be switched. Now, there is nothing to see.

Do you have any idea what is going on at the old Pollutro house on N State St? I see a tent that never gets taken down, there are sinks (so there must be a water supply) and yet I have not seen anyone there when I drive by.
Are they serving food?
Do they have the proper permits?
Any clue?
and did the Painesville power plant fire up two nights ago? Loud bangs in the the middle of the night and if I remember that is the power plant.......

Trump most certainly did say White Supremacists, KKK, White Nationalists, etc., are evil, and disavow them, as he has been saying for decades. His other point is that there was one group there that actually had a permit, and they were legally there to protest the removal of our country's statues. He was also pointing out that the KKK, etc., were not the only ones that came for trouble. There would have been no fighting if the other groups were not there being part of the problem and fighting. He also acknowledged that the horrible guy that killed that young woman, and hurt so many others, is horrible. Your constant Democratic droning on, as with the rest of your party, along with your hysterics, is nauseating. You Democrats are still lost in screaming racist every time someone other than you breathes, because it's the only chance you have of winning elections. On the other hand, Republicans and many of the Independents can actually do some critical thinking, and the president is smart enough to see the whole picture of what happened there. You lost; get over it already. You and your Democratic party are greatly hurting America.
1:14. Obama did not create one million jobs in his last six months. He was telling us, oh well, the jobs are all leaving the US, and there's nothing that can be done about it. Trump, however, has created a million jobs in his first few months. That's the thing about the Democrats and you. You never let the truth get in your way. Could be why the Democrats are having so much trouble raising money so far this year, while the Republicans are raking it in.
Just to take up one issue of your main post: Deregulation. Trump and his team have dropped many, many regulations already, which is in large part responsible for so many businesses expanding, coming back to the US, and increasing hiring and wages. Quit lying to people. You don't care WHAT you say; you just make it up as you go along...you and your continuous Democratic outrage. Really, quit lying.
