Or some smart residents that are all tired of the same old same old? Let the rest that voted for this explain there vote? I'll post the video. Sorry I know who the real idiots are.
Yes what makes these three smart is they haven't cost me a dime. Hada was on council when we lost 6 million on bad investments, not a very good track record when it comes to money issues as a councilman for almost 30 years. This was another deal that was made by the city without full disclosure to the citizens. Speaking of money when will the Millstone people get theirs? Whats the real holdup? I think its a good idea we profile Mr. Hada as way out of touch. Mr. Rellik
Can someone explain to me how a town with less then 20,000 people and about 7 square miles would even want to get involved in 50 million dollar projects? This is the same as a the Navy building a coal fired aircraft carrier, or a railroad buying new steam engines? Ican just about garantee that most or none of us will be around.
We didn't loss money? Great maybe someone who was on council at the time can explain how we recovered our losses? Joe, Abby, feel free to answer. I remember Coucil President Wendell Walker said that fraud was involved.

Loss or Lose? Maybe they have explained it but you were unable to comprehend it. Is that the lie you are spreading? That the money was lost and never recovered? Wendell Walker? I had almost forgotten that name. That reminded me of how long ago this was. What year was it anyway? Was it more than 4 years ago?
Please explain it here how much we invested and how much was recovered? Joe Hada had to be on council at the time he had nothing to do with the fraud but in the end council was respossible for the action the city took he's been on it for almost 28 years, I believe Rita McMahon was the head of the community development department at the time. So I guess we are only allowed to work in the last 4 year time span?
Someone defrauds council and it is their fault? I think you know what happened. You are trying to make it sound worse than it is for campaign purposes. You can't simply say Painesville lost 6 million and not be misleading everyone who reads it. You should have a Murphy for council tag to all your posts so people know where you are coming from.
Yes someone is resposible for running the city and by charter it is the council. I have a pretty good idea what happened but for the people that read the blog. explain it to them. How much did we lose? Murphy wasn't on council at the time. Did he have someone defraud the city now thats a story!
If I come and rob your house, who is going to jail? Me or you? You are trying to shift the blame for political reasons. Just be honest. "I have a pretty good idea what happened but for the people that read the blog." Apparently you don't because you have dodged questions and have refused to tell the whole truth. So are you ignorant or are you being deceptive?
If you leave your employers sale receipts on your desk at work. are you going to get blamed if it comes up missing? I think so. No one was responssible I guess. Do you really want to know? Mr. Rellik
A short essay on the money Painesville lost back in May of 1994. It was reported at the time that a David Miller the citys finance director invested 1.8 million dollars with a Kenneth Schulte of the Houston firm of Hart Securities in what was known as "interest only investments" in todays lingo they would be known as derivatives. The finance committee at that time was composed of City Manager Lester Nero. Finance director David Miller, and law director Joseph Gurley, the State found none of the three violated the law. Hart Securities filed for bankruptcy in 1995 leaving alot of citys and county governments holding the bag. Painesville retained the Law Firm of Squire, Sanders, and Demsey for representation the cost or funds returned to the city are unknown. At the time Abbey DelaMotte asked for the resignation of Mr. Miller. and a councilman Gary Klucher asked for the resignnation of Miller, Nero, and Gurley. Kenneth Schulte owns an investment firm in Minnesota can't say for sure he doesn't answer my e-mails. I would like the city to explain how much money in attorney fees were spent and how much of the money was recovered. If any, there they only ones who know.

I remember the city telling us they had to cut the operating budget $6 million that year, was that a lie too?

Wasn't Rita assistant CM when the money was lost?
