"TUESDAY 09/08/09 CITY COUNCIL MEETING"

September 8,2009

Because of the Labor Day Holiday Council meeting will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:30p.m. nothing earth shattering but something interesting always shows up.

Nothing out of the ordinary all resolutions passed 6-0 Andy Flock absense was excused. Presentation of the waste water treatment center was given. utility departments all have great people running them} It looked alittle like Harvey class of 68' reunion. A presentation of a green space proposal for the State St. site, by Tim Hosler, complaints about noise, and other activity at Tony's Subway Inn, by Ernest Jones, Plus former councilman Bill Horvath took councilman Werner to task about calling the police over playground activities? I guess you have to watch to figure it out. Did Hal call the police because of a resident complaint?

Special meeting at city hall with the people from the States "Clean Air Ohio Fund"
This is the meeting where the city is in the process of aquiring 2 million dollars to tear down the hospital. Funny I haven't seen a time or announcment posted on the city site I will call Tuesday to find out the time. This is a Public Meeting. Looked at the sign in front of LakeEast 5:30p.m. courtroom 2.

No one from the state was even there. The grant papers are thicker than the Bible. Looks pretty much the grant will go through. Why can't anyone explain how this new hospital will service the community when it has over 100 fewer beds? With the luck we have in town that H1N1 flu will hit us the same time we take the demolishing ball to LakeEast.

They don't want us there? All the more reason for as many of us to show up as possible.

Read in the News-Herald Maketplace Sunday a house was sold to a Mr.Lee on Fredric St.[by the V.F.W.] for $12,400.00. Have the rental task force check this one out, the garage is already converted to a bedroom how many do you think this one can hold?

As hard as it was to believe this above post was correct. Why it was sold so cheap is beyond me. Some of you woder why we have over 50% in rentals? I remember a Mr. Lee afew years back wanting to buy a house on Chester that was a mess, wonder if its the same person?

Get the address and look it up at the county auditor website. Should answer all of your questions and he should also have all of his other properties listed to him as well. JT

The address is 25 Frederic St. It just seemed like a very low amount.

TERM, are you going to fill us in on the council meeting?

Not much to fill in read the post again I added to it. Also I am convinced Lake Heath is the largest unregulated monopoly system in the area after Wednesday meeting. GM could take lessons from this not for profit.

What was Horvath's problem with the complaint? Is he just trying to bring grief to Hal?

At September 10, 2009 at 7:05 AM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

Only Mr. Horvath can answer that question Hal's was there on a complaint from a resident on the street as far as I could tell he was not there on behalf of himself?

Sticking up for Hal? It must be a dream. I'd like to know the number of times a resident brought a problem up at a council meeting and Mr. Horvath would tell them he would have the police look into it? Will someone explain the difference? Sour grapes Bill? To busy for Hal but not Bill.

There is a sign on the old Saint Clair St School lot, the Painesville City Credit Union is going to build there, this is a good thing.

If you heard what was said by the Police Chief that there was no illegal activity. Everyone knows that Hal has a thing about the Hisppanics, it doesn't matter if they are legal or not. He is as bad as the Gestapo in World War II. He should spend more time taking care of his place before he starts complaining about other people. I hope the person that complains and thinks it is alright for Hal to waste the time of our Police Dept., that if and when he needs a policeman that they are not chasing pipe dreams of Hal's and not able to answer his call for a real problem. People should do a little thinking, put mind into motion before you put your mouth in action.

Gestapo, Nazi, boy we throw these words around. If the Gestapo was in Painesville believe me the illegal question wouldn't be brought up everybody better have"papers" If a resident complains he is obligated to get answers for them. Then again he could ignore resident requests like some councilpeople do.

What are you Bi-polar one minute against Hal the next for Hal wwhat gives?

At September 11, 2009 at 3:37 AM , Anonymous TERN>> said...

Not for or against. Maybe Mr. Werner should have asked Mr. Horvath what he would have done if this resident called him when he was the councilman? Right is right wrong is wrong, if and when Hal screws up he will hear about it from everyone but in this case I can't figure out what he did wrong?
I renember many a time Mr. Horvath told a resident he would have the police look into it just like someone mentioned.

Anonymous 5:17 pm, you throw names around as a method of intimidation. I myself have a problem with hispanics. Illegal hispanics, and legal ones that don't feel they have to obey city ordinances. I also have a problem with the whites and blacks who do not follow city ordinances. I am sick of listening to their loud music at all hours of the day. The fact is there is such a large number of hispanics doing these offenses that they get singled out more. for good reason. So get off your high horse.
