"KNOWING ME KNOWING YOU"

With rhe coming election not more then a couple of months away, we will soon be getting our mailboxes, ect filled with campaign literature. My question is do people care about endorsements?
A candidate shaking hands with a Senator, Congressman, even a County Sheriff does any of this affect your vote. Unions, F.O.P.'s Business Associations. Retired politicans. How well do they know these people?
If a city Union backed an incumbent who has direct say in this union's wages and working conditions. Better yet a Union thar backed a challenger for the same reasons.
Do rulers, nail files, signs in yards have any bearing on your vote? Have you ever changed your vote because of that person that passed out candidates pens 100 feet from the voting booth?
One person told be he keep the winners campaign literature from the last election and checked performace against promises. Another asked a candidate if he ever called the person who's seat they want and asked the officeholder a question. His thinking is how can you now say this person has done a poor job, if you never let them know abour your concerns.

Uh-OH, what happened, did a city union turn down John Murphy's request for an endorsement?

Everyone knows he is your candidate of choice.

Most of the politicans think we're stupid.[maybe we are] Don't show me a picture with another politician show me what you want to do and have already done.
Mr. Murphy I'm sure didn't get an endorsement from any city union. The people that voted them raises this year will.
Who cares what they think? If that thought Painesville was being run so well more than 20% of all city union employees would want to live here.
They may endorse a candidate but the majority can't vote for them.

Do any of you remember the promise of jobs Joe Hada made about Coe Manufacturing during his last campaign?
The F.O.P. endorsement of William Horvath?
Save the paper boys, the only thing I learn is whos a Democrat or Republican, If your standing with Dunlap, Sines, your a Republican. If your standing with Strickland, Troy your a Democrat.
I vote absentee so I don't have to listen to the clowns at the poling places. I am not a happy or content voter this year.

Idiot, Arelene isn't a shoe in. She is not even a candidate, by her own doing. She may have petitioned for a hearing but she has no leg to stand on. Why should exceptions be made for her? Because she's a woman? Because she's black? Because she's incompetent? The law is the law and she didn't file correctly, nor chose to correct her mistake, so there! Arlene is out!

Not only is Arlene an idiot but is Murphy that desparate that he has to ride with her in the parade?, if he is that associated with her he has lost my vote, so yes, her endorsement convinced me NOT to vote for him.

No I think it would be a wonderful idea to load up city council with present and former city school employee's Werner, DiNallo, Fodor, all controlled by the President of Council who's wife sits on the school board. Where are Painesville Schools ranked? whats the difference look at the citys ranking.
If people can't see whats going on.....
Nothing in town will change until Hada loses his power.

I live in Ward 1 Andrew Flock has been my councilman for I guess 10 years, everytime I have a problem with the city I call him at home he always answers or returns the call within 24 hours. I have watched Joe Hada question and insult him for the last time. Mr. Hada acts as if he owns the council. Very poor way to run a city or council, If you knew about the Cobblestone Mr. Hada with your inaction you should have been recalled.

First, Arlene makes mistakes on her petitions then turns them into the board of elections. She is told that some of them are invalid and she doesn't have enough signatures on the remaining ones. She holds a press conference in the square and tells everyone including reporters from the paper that she is sorry but won't fight the decision. Now she wants a hearing.

I had respect for her up and including the speech from the gazebo. Now she goes back on her own words. If I can't trust her to fill out her election petitions correctly and trust what she says by going back on what she said then I don't think she should be on council at all. Woman, black, special treatment does't enter the picture here. Keeping your word and competence does.

Maybe shes just going thru with the formal hearing so in two or four years someone can't say she didn't even try to keep her seat. Very rarily do these get reversed and she knows it. I believe this is more for her supporters then herself.

Arlene is doing this for herself. She got over the initial shock and now she thinks she can use the black card to intimidate the BOE. Well, rules are rules where this is concerned. Race doesn't matter.

sounds like she is going back on her word not matter what the reason.

Arlene has no one else to blame but her lazy self. She was told she had errors on her petitions and also she could have checked out the signature she already had if she had taken the time to do it. That shows you what she thinks of Painesville and her position on Council. She DIDN'T CARE ENOUGH to make the effort to correct the errors. Now she wants a hearing, which only goes to show she just wants attention no matter how she gets it.

Arlene is out, Murphy & she rode in a parade together and they are 2 of a kind. I sure hope he is not a shoe in else we will be wanting a recall like we wanted with Haaaal. What a joke. Council is a serious business and I hope we get a serious person in like Mr. Gagliardi so this circus will stop. Anyone know if Haaaal can be impeached?Ann.

Serious person like Mr. Gagliardi? Mr. Gagliardi was the "business person" on the panel for the school board 50% policy. He thought it was a good idea? I wonder what his superiors at S.T.P. think about Tony's comment on inferior workers. Ask him why he wasn't given a position on the housing task force by Joe Hada? One last thing if supporters of one candidate or another want to win my vote, the one way not to accomplish that is to bring up silly spelling, or complain who rode with who!

Tony also has some interesting hiring practices at S.T.P. They use a tenp-agency what so illegals can work there?

Sorry, I have checked with Tony Gaglirdi about this practice and he assures me that NO illegals get hired or work at S.T.P. This is the third time you have posted this accusation, why? do you have proof? Tony also assured me the people there must also pass a drug and alcohol test.

I have a couple for Lori DiNallo. First is she a union teacher with a contract, or a payed consultant? Nowhere on her flyer explained this. Also she made a statement about law-abiding residents of Painesville, does she consider people that broke into this country illegaly law-abiding? If she is not a union covered employee the board could terminate her contract, Remember who sits on council and the school board. Don't think it could happen?

I have a couple for John Murphy. First, he is an ex union guy, so how do we know he won't buckle to the city unions when the time comes to fire, negotiate, or whatever. My experience says Union guys stick together. He supports is very noble with his support of homeless/low income so does that mean we will have another 30 years of the county dumping all of it in Painesville? I doubt he will fight the county, after all, that is the seat he really wants!

I have a couple for Mr. Hada. On numerous occasions you have made accusations about people on council or running for council. My question why bring it up if you don't follow it thru? Is this how you do business? Be at one end of a street telling residents one thing while another councilman is at the other end of the street telling people something else? Shouldn't you two be working together? 28 years what haven't you been able to legislate in that time that you feel the need for four more years? As a resident of Heisley Park what gives you the right to forgive $150,000 of my money? Its getting alittle long in the tooth Joe.
