TASK FORCE TO SHIPOUT TUESDAY
The Housing Task Force is to meet Tuesday September 30, 2008 at 6:00p.m. in Courtroom 2 at Painesville City Hall. You may not speak, or ask questons at the meeting. Maybe if some citizens show up they might realize this is important to all of us.

It doesn't matter, this is Joe Hada's group to guarantee a certain block of landlord and low income votes next year at election time.
I'll wager a week's wages he uses this in his campaign.
Hey Term, will you or the task force provide boots and shovels? I here it gets pretty deep. Why cant we ask questions? Or do the Landlords run the show, wonder if they bring up that house on Stte St.
JR.
The housing task force has nothing to do with the house on State St.
Then why have a task force, its rental housing, has a landlord, and a lot of questions that need to be answered. Term did most of the work all I want to know is this what the city condones?
If you can't ask questions then ask Hada directly or ask council. Email has worked in the past as documented on this site. I have no idea what they do. But if they accomplish something positive then good for them. Have they done anything bad for the city? If they don't deal with the house on State St. someone must, who is the proper authority then? Probably whoever handled it before the taskforce was in place.
Any appointed and/or recognized committee or task force that is recognized by a Government Entity, of which this committe/task force meets in the Government Buildings (without a rental policy) and sends minutes of their meetings to the Government Entity; or speaks at/and states the results of their meetings at the Govermental Body meetings regarding their meetings - Must allow questions and/or comments at these public meetings!
If these entities pay rent for the courtroom, they are private and then they may restrict questions and comments.Let's see the rent receipts.
If their substance means anything, they would be big fools (for their cause) to restict public participation.
This Task Force has not done anything in this city. They only sit and pontificate. There have been absolutely no positive results reported at all!!
If this is a true Housing (rental) Task Force, then the issue of N. State Street and many other Rental Properties would have been discussed/divulged and dealt with.
A Task Force that has absolutely no authority in this city at all. Another adhoc group, accepted by the city clowns, of which these clowns know that they do not have to listen at all to the groups ramblings. The City will do as they please, and circumvent every zoning issue in order to feather/further their backward interpretation of positive growth and the controls that they should have over the over-crowded rentals/terrible rental conditions, etc etc etc!!!
Do these Landlords out-number us, are they trying to take-over, are they really trying to work with all of us who own our properties and maintain them, or are they leading the charge to make our City one Big Rental Institution?
What do all of you want and expect from the over-populated rental percentages in this city?
Raise the rent baby, we do have a lot of power, you will never make us leave, do you know how much money we landlords make, get real we are here forever, live with it.....
SLUM LORD!
Nope My properties are in better shape then most city parks.
The only landlords in this city that would raise the rent are the ones that realize they can get more from section 8 than the illegals are willing to pay!
sorry we have no sec 8 and we get top $$$$ for our apts.
do you rent to illegals?
Sorry not allowed to ask.
I will take that as a yes answer. There are ways.
I attended the Task Force Meeting Tuesday. I asked if it was a public meeting if there could be some dialoogue from the public? To his credit Chairman Hach and most of the committee thought the idea had merit. So I guess you can ask questions now.
Lets be honest, there was "1" person who didnt want public discussion right?
Who was that "1" person? And was there discussion?
No one at the meeting opposed comments, only stating it was up to the Chairman. Mr. Hach received no opposition from anyone.
