"DOCTOR MY EYES" jackson browne

Tell me what is wrong.  Was I unwise to leave them open for so long?

Well yesterday I spent a little time at Heritage Middle School and Principal  Missy DeAngelis
discussed all the programs available to student's in the school. In the afternoon I walked the halls with her and had an opportunity to view student conduct first hand. At times I felt like I was walking the halls of St. Ignatius High School. I left leaving the building that I must have been sent on a wild goose chase? At home one of the parents I trust in a phone call told me it was all a ruse for my benefit and administrators had even planed to discredit me at the Board of Education Meeting Monday night which I failed to attend. I don't know I only know what my eyes told me.

This person suggested I do what I wished council had done and got a police report of incidences at the middle school.

Well I did and low and behold what  an incident report from the Painesvlle Police Department that any of you want to dispute can get the report just like I did for twenty cents.

Since January 6,2014 the police has generated 182 calls to 135 Cedarbrook (Heritage Middle School) Four pages of "incidents" now not all these are with concerns to students some are community policing calls, alarm calls, animal calls but they do include some very disturbing calls.

09/03/15   SUSCIR/ UNRULY JUV.
04/13/15   WEAPON
04/14/15   ASSAULT
04/16/15   FIGHT
05/12/15   DRUGS
05/20/15   ASSAULT/JUV?POSSIBLE FIGHT
02/27/15   WARRENT/HABITUALL TRUA
03/10/15   THEFT
10/31/14   WEAPON
02/13/14   SEXOFF

Sorry, I have four pages of  incidents like the ones above..

Want copies call me I'll get them to you.

No after viewing these four pages if anyone disputes an SRO officer isn't needed in that building I suggest your presently are holding a live stick of dynamite.

Sorry if you can afford 4% raises, this Board of Education can provide a safe learning environment at
Heritage. End of subject.

And don't hammer me if you think I'm wrong get your own police incident report and explain it to me.

Just sometimes things aren't as they appear to be.

Until the situation is corrected I will ask for a monthly PPD incident report and maybe share it at  the BOE meetings?

Someone told me all Caucasian's in Painesville are now drinking at a bar in Mentor called get ready.... SAFE CRACKERS!

Cracker is a slur and it's offensive, most white people don't like being called it either.

This is grades 6-7-8 right? I don't know which one upsets me more, the weapons or the sex offense given the ages.

I work at an educational institution and people are surprised I live in the 'ville. Our schools have a reputation loud and clear and it's not good. Seems everybody in the area knows about the problems with Painesville City Schools except the School Board and administration. Not one person in my dept. Would move or send their children to school here.

It would look as though some stories are being told.
Just as I expected.

I seldom go to Board of Education Meetings, but I did go to the last one [9/14/15]. When I walked in I was shocked at the crowd size. Most seat were taken. I asked the person next to me what was up? Their reply was "we are here to defend Heritage Middle School". Well, it was a very routine meeting. No one attacked or defended Heritage School, as a matter of fact no visitor even spoke. I like the idea of a citizen reporting / reviewing a monthly police report. After Ross Grippi reported on the police response at HHS things began to change for the better. But beware, anyone who critiques the schools will be verbally attacked. Just ask Mr. Grippi!

Mr. Cimaglio I enjoyed our visit. Please call or visit me at any time in the future if you have any questions or concerns. As a community that comes together to problem solve, we will be able to continue to do what's best for the children of Painesville.

5:29 Ms. DeAngelis thank-you for your time. I hope we can do what's best for Painesville students.
5:04 Hope they scamper down to the PPD and get a copy of the report and then start to defend Heritage students?
6:04 Painesville will never move forward until the schools do.
4:53 Agreed, but what you should be the most upset is that the administration and board doesn't seem to be upset?

Missy DeAngelis, would you please be more forth coming with incident reports and responses to your school? You can blow smoke in my face all you want but facts would be nice. How are those test scores? Where do our schools stand in the State? Are we sending kids on to college, vocational schools or fast food franchises? Please tell us why other communities are afraid to send their children to school here?
As the schools go, so goes the community. And this is not a socio-economic problem as many socio-economically challenged schools fair quite well. Response please.....

"We are here to defend Heritage Middle School" ?????

Defend it from who, facts? The truth is in the pudding I mean incident reports!

Maybe the people there were defending their jobs?

When will Harvey be next? Though not as bad as when Martin was there it's not the Cinderella story being portrayed. As with Heritage on their best behaviour for you, things have a way of being covered up and buried deep. Would you access their records also for display?

Term, thanks for sticking your neck out and getting to the bottom of all this at Heritage. You have no idea how many of us appreciate what your blog does.

Sooner or later the city and school administration will figure out your smarter than you look. Ha, Ha

12:38 You can request all incidents to Harvey you want. Let's just assume there are reports? The incident report will probably have be generated by the SRO officer at the scene, not a patrolman that has to drive to the incident, Time is important, wouldn't you agree.

At September 19, 2015 at 12:58 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Not sure if I understand you. I was asking about the same report for the high school as the middle. How can the SRO generate the report when there isn't an sro at the middle school? We aren't on the same page let alone the same book. And I would like to see the reports from the high school posted here. Out of curiosity, does anyone know what happened at the football game against Riverside last week? Rumor was something big! Again, sweep it away like nothing happened cause they are just kids.

At September 19, 2015 at 5:15 PM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

12:58 The SRO at the high school would be the one generating the incident at the High School because he is there and can defuse something because he is there. A Painesville patrol officer called to Heritage would be doing the incident report and how long did it them to get to the school?
Heard nothing about the game?

I understand what the officer does. What I'd like to see here is the same report you got from the police department regarding the high school for 20 cents posted from the high school. I'd bet some would be surprised if they saw some elementary reports too.

At September 20, 2015 at 7:35 AM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

6:43 I'm sure you have 20 cents? Go get one. Presently the High School is in good hands and I am focusing on the big problem. Ms. DeAngelis might be a great educator but her failure on not wanting an SRO in the building leaves me wondering?
People being e=mailed to go to the BOE meeting to dispute my claims, really?

I could give a hoot about your school. My only concern is the students that attend there.

Elementary Schools?

They weren't there to dispute you only to defend Heritage. Then again how in God's name do you defend what's going on in that building? Blinders just blinders on.

Wonder why no one got up to defend the school?

At September 21, 2015 at 6:33 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Yes I got 20 centavos, I asked if you would include the other schools too. Its obvious you have kin that attend the middle school, why else would you keep on this? Or maybe a kid picked the flowers from your Cedarbrook address. You know the one with the blue indoor recliner on the porch. Do as I say not as I do right?

At September 22, 2015 at 12:10 PM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

6:33 Let me understand you first you insult me and then want me to do something for you?
Sorry no 'KIN' at Heritage at least not for two years and if things don't change over there she will never set foot into the place.
Come over and sit with me on the porch and we can share a coke and view the procession. Maybe help me move the chair to the garage?

At September 22, 2015 at 3:32 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Yeah, he lives on cedarbrook, votes with his owego address yet points out everything wrong in the city.

6:33 is right. Do as I say not as I do.

When you were in the school, did it seem out of control? If your complaint is that the school calls the police when they feel its appropriate, what's the problem? They are doing the right thing?!

What's next, HROs- home resource officers? The problem is there, not the school.

Using your logic, chardon must be out of control too.

At September 22, 2015 at 4:26 PM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

3;32/6:33 You are correct the only difference between you and I is I sign my name.

They probably call the police more times in a week than in my whole time in school.

Maybe part of Chardon problem was they ignored some of the signs?

When you went to the middle school was it out of control? Ive been there and it was clean and kids were good.

My kids went there and had no problems. They are at Harvey now and love it. You might need new sources.

Kids everywhere act a fool now and then. If you have kids I bet they made some stupid decisions too. We gotta stop blaming everyone else and take some responsibility. It isn't the schools job to raise kids, that should happen at home. Parents, grandparents, siblings and families need to step up.

At September 23, 2015 at 10:48 AM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

7:33 I am glad your kids had no problems. As I mentioned the school was very much in control. On the same issue the fight I witnessed on an I phone also took place there. I guess I want a better explanation for that incident as well as what was listed on the incident report.

Your right about families taking responsibility. But what if they don't?

At September 23, 2015 at 1:08 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I hope whoever videoed that fight along with those that fought all got in trouble. The schools have some type of policy and those that stand by to video are to get a consequence also. Sure hope you did your part after watching it by taking their phone or giving the principal the persons name. You may be an accomplice.

At September 23, 2015 at 2:10 PM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

1:08 Are they legally obligated to do this? Sounds like someone wants to silence the whistleblower?
Claimed his name was Stu Gotts Jr.? I'm a willing accomplice let's get it all out in the open.

Nice hearing from a staff member.

At September 24, 2015 at 11:53 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Who said they are staff? Nobody. You aren't a staff member and you know whats going on don't you? Well you aren't the only one with their eyes and ears open in this town, don't assume what you don't know.
