'THE WAY YOU DO THE THINGS YOU DO" temptations

And baby you're so smart, you know you could have been a schoolbook.

So much talk on immigration lately. Have you noticed we have gone from building a fence to now a how high 2000 mile wall? We even have dragged in the Great Wall of China in on this.

Changes to the 14th Amendment. With a snap of a finger by Congress! You know those people that accomplish so much.

Here's  a novel idea lets just follow the law's and  REGULATIONS we currently have?

Ohio would make a great test state. We have a Republican governor that's thrown his hat into the Presidential race. Along with the GOP controlling both houses in the state.

Instead of fences and walls we take the government of Ohio and pass law's about employer's using E-verify as mandatory  law in the State of Ohio with violations being in fines as well as jail time. Make it the law. And if your caught with people working for you that don't have the proper documentation you pay the piper. Close all the loopholes if you use outside contractors to supply your workforce, sorry your still responsible. They may get a check from Acme employment but they are doing work for you.

Now how do you find these employer's? You put up a bounty. 3% of the fines collected go to the 'whistleblower' legal or illegal resident. Cold uh?

I've mentioned it before the word comprehensive and now this getting rid of government regulations both scare me about the same. The next time a politician tells you he want's to streamline government by reducing regulations ask him which regulations are you wanting to get rid of.

Do regulations mean no longer inspecting coal mines? No longer inspecting the meat we eat? Or no longer regulating who's legally working where and for whom here in this country?

Think I'm full of hot air? Who do you think the biggest lobbyist's to get rid of E-verify in Washington D.C. is? HOLA? No... how about the National Chamber of Commerce? You don't have to wonder where their skin in the game is?

Now what would be the biggest reason Ohio government not pursuing this? Well many businesses will pack up and move to Illinois, Georgia or wherever state they will be safe operating in.

The answer isn't a wall or fence it is just making employer's responsible citizens. We already know Greed is Good..

While they have us chasing our tails about fences and wall's the middle-class life style is leaving the U.S.A. is this planned?

Really at this time in the election season did you ever think in your wildest dreams Jeb would make "W" look like Yoda?

What you have proposed here is exactly what I have been saying for 10+ years. Until there is some sort of punishment for the person who actually owns and runs the company, there will be no logical reason to follow the existing law. It is toothless and they know it.
Think the cost of flowers/plants/whatever will go up? Maybe so but I doubt it would be very much. In a free market, the prices have to remain competitive or your sales go away. The money they save by hiring the people they hire doesn't keep the prices down as much as it increases their profits.
Common sense is all it takes. What you have outlined makes so much sense that, of course, it will never happen.

Oh just offer little kids a happy meal and a Twinkie to turn their illegal parents in........ And those anchor babies get left behind in the good old USA. So I guess the rally team will take care of them?

4:27 You know why you have been proposing the same thing for ten years with no action been taken? Truth be told the GOP don't want to solve this anymore then the DEMS. It's so simple it's to the point of being ridiculous.
It's like NASA telling us they want to go to the moon, but we have to launch the spacecraft from Mars? Nothing anyone is proposing makes sense. The Mexican government will build the wall? Statements like that should be laughed out of the building!
Ask one of your local State Reps. Ron Young what he thinks? But remember in the back of your mind he runs an employment company? Have to wonder if he E-verifys?

It makes me nervous anytime both parties agree on a course of action (or in this case, non-action).

what makes me laugh is the logic that they are taking jobs that americans could do, LOL.
We have tried that and believe me the loosers that are left as unemployed are just that loosers, most are not willing to break a sweat or they only work 8 hour days, etc.

the americans left unemployed will not replace the illegals because they are not capable of it. You won't see prices go up, you will see businesses going under.

3:13 You sound like a businessman who wants to justify paying low wages and it really doesn't bother you if anyone is legal or not?

Look at it this way I've worked hard all my life, but I wonder what my attitude would have been if I watches employers pay substandard wages, flooding the workforce paid under the table to people who shouldn't be working here?

The American left unemployed? Seems like people such as yourself have decided who gets what for all of us? Odd we can have people getting raises and it doesn't hurt the economy but raising minimum wages will destroy the economy?

This is 3:13, first don't put words out there that have nothing to do with what I said, (typical democrat tactic, change the focus). I never said I pay low wages, and I never said it doesn't bother me if people are illegal or not.

I said, the people who are out there unemployed are a lot of loosers who don't want to work hard enough to break a sweat, believe they should only work 8 hour days and could never take the place of some of the field hands and the work ethic they show.

Why does everyone assume they are getting low wages?, they are driving big SUV's, buying up and fixing up houses in neighborhoods all over Painesville and you guys think they are doing that on a below minimum wage salary?

9:46 Are they paying city income tax?

Field hands? Half of all construction jobs in Texas are held by illegal aliens, the working in the fields has long changed.

Just a clue your Republican tactic ain't workin' at all is it?

Oh, I could tell you stories about working under the table. Half the homes in Heisley Park. Signs in Spanish directing illegals to work sites there.

Now what is the solution you propose?
And just don't blame Democrat's.

What part of Painesville are undocumented/illegal workers improving? Can you give us a specific location so we can see what you mean?

Driving big SUV's? Really? Most I see are driving mini vans and hoopties with 30 day tags.

I do agree with you concerning the complete lack of work ethic displayed by many people I see. However, the counter is that as long as they get more money from the government (us) for sitting on their butts, this is not going to change.

First Romney tells us corporations are people? Now Christy tell us people are packages?
Does anybody buy this crap?

We need to cut the welfare umbilical cord.
Get your welfare then get established and then cut the welfare. We need a limit to the amount of time they can be on it then stop the checks. Of course, there will always be exceptions to this but someone needs to do something to get the bums off the couch and off the dole. Take it away and they will have to stand on their own 2 feet. There are plenty of places in this town that offer free food so no one should go hungry. Its a start. I did contact Senator Brown with my thought too.

Prior to the Great Depression, if you did not work, you did not eat.
Welfare programs are important and will always be needed.
However, I agree, there needs to be limits to what you get.
With out limits, there is little to no incentive to get off the programs.

BTW, with the discussion of illegal workers doing work that Americans do not want to do, what is wrong with saying (to people receiving assistance), here is a job. Don't take it and your benefits go away.
