Went about looking into John Murphys charges against him filed with the state about false claims he made in his campaign literature. Lake County Labor Leader of the AFL-CIO Mr. Schieble also a member of the Lake Health Board of Directors made the claim to the News-Herald. Now the first person who guesses correctly who filed the charges in Columbus will get a free cup of coffee from me.
To make it easy I will tell you some of the peoples names that weren't filed on the complaint. The other 4 candidates,Mr. Schieble himself, any current employee of the city of Painesville, any current elected official serving in Painesville. Give up? It even surprised me.

2:36 Heres something to ponder about. Jalapeno Loco has some legal problems, actually felony charges still hangs from there Mentor location. How does a business like this get a liquor licence transfered to them.Painesville will have to deal with this ,don't you think? Do we look the other way?

Was the urgent care center put here just to provide the latinos with their free primary health care the same way the ER did?

Where is Hobart / Heritage Middle School ?

We can't find it on any maps, or the internet ?

Please help.

At November 14, 2009 at 7:22 AM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

Heritage Middle School is on Cedarbrook Dr. It can be reached by going south on Chestnut St. crossing the railroad tracks and making a left on Cedarbrook at the light, or south on Liberty and after you cross the railroad tracks turning right at the first light Kennington and follow to the school.
It would be a good question for Mr. Robinson because I have always understood Urgent Care Centers you must produce an insurance card or pay cash for services provided at that time.
Jalapeno Loco will have some issues getting that licence into their name. Wonder how concerned our city is?
6:57 We have a Winner! That man must just like to write letters to people in government. See you in Columbus William.

Why would Bill Horvath sign the complaint? He just can't stand the thought of losing to Werner. Mr. Shieble should have filed the complaint, but it did the damage it was intended to do. This is the kind of small town antics that are the norm in Painesville. Oh that car was towed after Painesville Police refused! Wonder why?

Hey,
Did you see all of the Painesville Landlords, that backed John Murphy, in the News Herald today, on the owe back taxes list ?

Bill Horvath is a very bitter DEFEATED councilman but why would he even involve himself in a deal like this?
Bob Fountain is very close to resigning his position on council. Who in ward 3 would replace him? Interesting, Bills son lives in ward 3. Nice sweet thank-you.

Start the Christmas season on November 17th? When is the Easter celebration, January? This is no shot at Painesville, as this goes on everywhere, but why does Christmas keep moving up every year. By the time Santa waves at the end of Macy's parade, kids will have their gifts opened already.

To the people who support John Murphy, he was so sure that he was going to win the election that he went around telling people he was going to have give have to give up his plans on going to Florida because he would be to busy with Council business. Good thing people saw through him and did not elect this cocky individual

At November 15, 2009 at 2:02 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Yes, just what we need is a former City Councilman attending council meetings, town hall meetings and now he files a complaint with the election commission for what purpose? Is he doing anything positive for the City of Painesville? Is he running for office again? Or maybe, you are just acting on orders from others currently in power in Painesville. What is it Mr. Horvath?

Your actions show that you are a very bitter little man who is a sore loser and is only interested in one thing. That is bad-mouthing those who are or might be in your former position of councilman.

Instead of all these negative actions, why don't you try to work together and make Painesville better place to live. Maybe this is why you were voted out of office in the first place.

The fire chief wants council to tell him what good response times are, I guess he wants them to pick the right equipment too? So he can sit on his rearend kissing someone elses rearend, and putting me and others in jeopardy responding to an emergency.$80,000. plus for what?

What’s wrong with Bill Horvath attending council meetings, town hall meetings and filing the complaint? I see nothing wrong with it because it sure beats hiding behind all of the nasty whiners who ALWAYS have a “better” way to do what others are doing.
You complain about everything, hide behind Term and anonymous. You people are nothing but armchair politicians. Just like the sports pans sitting on the couch yelling at your TV about how the players should have/could have done it any other way than what it was done.
Have some common sense and leave the work to those elected officials we put our trust in.

Francie,

It is one thing to whine here and to yell at the TV during games. It is a whole different thing if you went into the locker room at half time or went to an owners meeting and complained they were wrong just because they wouldn't let you play.

If Mr. Horvath wants to complain here, fine. But when he goes to public meetings just to attack a particular person, that's just a bitter person who is a sore loser. Complain to council about an issue is fine but to personally attack just a councilman or a candidate is just wrong.

Mr. Horvath, time to find a new hobby.

Going into the locker room or the owners meeting to complain? Hmmm.
Sounds just like what people do at the council meetings. Including Mr. Horvath. Is he not entitled to do the same as everyone else?
Arm chair politicians, only good thing is they have a face to put to their nonsense comments. Do they have cheese with their whine?

Bill Horvath has every right to question things in then cit. Knowing him like I do to get involved in this is confusing to me? Why I will ask him the next time I run into him. As for John Murphy I knew him when he was a labor leader at Ohio Rubber, I can't make heads or tales of this, but someone better prove something. I think if Bill should be angry with anyone it should be the author of this blog. Term kept bringing up the letter to Sen. Dewine. I know it cost to votes in my house.

At November 17, 2009 at 4:23 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

The letter to DeWine was a solid public known piece of fact. Not some unsubstantiated claim of impropriety. I don't think I can ever think of Horvath or see his face when I do not think about that letter and detest every bone in his body. He deserved to lose. He sure was a party to making the City lose by making it a sanctuary city. Bill, what goes around comes around and bites you big time in the ass.

At November 18, 2009 at 7:41 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

If the complaints against John Murphy turn out to be false then Bill Horvath needs to apologize. If any of the complaints are true, we should thank Bill for bringing it to our attention. I'm willing to wait and see. General Paine

3:15 You can have your theory and I will post them, the question I ask was there anyone behind the curtain that made this happen? Hispanics are hard working people but I also know along with the hard workers come the gangs, and the drugs. Mexico right now is a mess the border will not stop the bad and just let the good in. I have to wonder how many criminals on the run from Mexico are living here? No one knows, How many Mexican sexual predators are living in our town? No one knows? What will happen to the hispanic population will be the same as what happened to the Italians, they kept quiet let the Mafia run free and soon every Italian was a Mafia member. Silence on criminals in the Mexican community will end up hurting them more then they know. What made this country great was not diversity, but everyone following the guidelines and laws set for all the people. Don't come here expecting extra rights.

I know there is one 17 year old high school girl who would not have been raped if her alleged rapist was not here illegally. He has charges dating back to 2001. He should have been deported then. And yet here he is living in the sanctuary city of Painesville and we have a child who's life has been impacted forever.

WoW. To the above.

7:41

I am waiting also.

Just a thought. If he Bill is right, that's one thing. Murphy didn't get elected.

But if he is wrong, did he change the outcome of the election? Not sure an apology would make up for this.

Election fraud and negative campaigning goes both ways.

folks, if you remember the fiasco with the bike giveaway at the Salvation Army last year for Christmas, I suggest you call and express your concerns this year. The same latino is running the giveaway of the bikes, so I foresee no changes in the biased distribution this year. I'm sure the donors never expect their donations to be used this way.

Horvath vs. Murphy?
On top of everything else he want the commission to rule that Murphy can never run for another elected office.
Also a coming post on Wednesday night townhall meeting Mr. Werner held.
Does anyone know of any plans for the Gage House? I understand its in forclosure.
