"YOU FOUND ME" fray

Last night around ten we heard a big crash in front of the house when we went to look we found my daughters car had been struck on the right side amd pushed further out into the street. The vehicle that hit her car had lost control making a right turn onto my street and had clipped the cables that held up the telephone pole at the corner the car proceeded down the sidewalk and hit my daughters car after avoiding another pole. The car never stopped or even slowed down. After calling the police we went and checked the damage, her front end was totaled, and I couldn't believe the car that caused all the damage could even leave the scene. When the police arrived it was determined it was hit by a dark Grand Am from the parts and an eyewitness. I spent about an hour looking for this vehicle with no luck. Today the Painesville Police found a dark green Grand Am with the front bumper replaced and painted, with a cracked windshied where someone had hit their head. Luck? or good police work? Just an officer being aware and doing their job, but if someone would have told me this story last night I wouldn't have believed they would find that car. Stories like this don't make the Cleveland Magazine. Great officers doing a great job. THANK-YOU

Sorry to hear this.

To bad you put in the comment about was it luck or good police work, just a way for you to slam the city.

And you were wrong to go looking for the car, that is the police dept job.

Guess you had no faith in you police dept.

Some of you are just nuts. I meant that the police officer was lucky he spotted the car on the street, that's all not a slam. I can drive around and look all I want. If I had found it I would have called the police. I have alot more faith in the police dept. than I do people like you. The priority of finding who caused damage to a 10 year old vehicle I thought would be way down on the list. I guess this is how people think in town. Again Thank-You.

I'm with TERM on this one. I would have gone looking for the car myself. Then called police if I found it. The police can always use citizen help. If you came to Hal's citizen's meeting last night you would have heard Chief Smith and his officers say that very thing. They need citizen's help and encourage it. You, 8:53pm anonymous, are what is wrong with this city. You are just looking for anything to slam TERM or any responsible citizen with. Your way or the highway? Well, your way hasn't done so well over the years, has it.

Term..thanks for your kind words and continued support. And yes, citizen involvement is paramount in our ability to solve crimes and make this city safer. Thanks again.

A PPD Officer..

Painesville's safety problem is not the safety forces but the number of criminals, and felons in town, Who can we thank for this fact?
Council should set up a safety check some Saturday night on Richmond St. and stop every fifth car. We will clear the streets of alot of people with warrants, no insurance, and not properly licenced cars andf drivers. You would think they would want to do this?

Our beloved judge will just throw these out of court. He doesn't want to be bothered by anything so mundane as no Ohio license, legal status, no insurance (if you are an illegal),. But if I didn't have insurance -- watch out! I would be slammed!

8:53 The real problem is not the safety forces they do the best job they can with guidlines set down by a un-elected City Manager / Safety Director. I dont know how some of them go to work everyday with her questioning them.
Sad but I get the feeling Term cares more about Painesville then the people we pay to watch over it. This blog. is refreshing.

Check every 5th car? This is just another way for you gringos to catch illegals maybe if we had rights we would have the insurance and documents you want.

you left your rights behind when you snuck into our country illegally. don't go making demands. If you weren't a criminal to begin with you would have come here the right way and you would have proper documentation. So go back home. Our country doesn't need you and Painesville doesn't need you. There are plenty of legals to take your place.

ok so now please get to the part that makes this post like all the others. Here is where you state how this was a plot by council and rita to intimidate you into shutting down the blog. It IS their fault right?

PPD Officer,

You are a fake, no good Police Officer, would tell someone to go looking for the car that might have been envolved in this case.

Just ask a
REAL POLICE OFFICER

The question should be not will council and the city manager shut down the blog.? Will the blog. shut down council and the city manager?
I look at this site as the "Conscience of Painesville"
Right now it doesn't look so good for afew of them. Whats with the horse story?

Call Batman! The Dark Knight! Is Painesville Gotham City now?

At June 19, 2009 at 3:31 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Gotham City was never ranked so low in a safety survey. Plus Painesville doesnt have any Bruce Wayne. We do have "Jokers" running the town.

I would absolutely go looking for the car myself. Usually something like that is not high priority for the police. When I was younger, our neighbor's house got egged. I saw the car speed off down the street. The neighbor called the police, and I followed the car. I eventually tracked them down. There's no way the police could have got there in time. By the time the police came, the car could have been safely parked in a garage. You can't always count on the police for everything. Take one step on my property and vandalize something, and I'm taking the law into my own hands.

"Gotham City was never ranked so low in a safety survey."

you need to bone up on your batman trivia.

"Whats with the horse story?"

There is no story. In fact to explain it I believe would only expose this blog for its already known absurdity. Suffice to say its another conspiracy theory where the posters on this blog try to imply some wrong doing where none exists. I am ashamed that our system allows these people to vote.

I dont know how Batman got into this. Explain the horse story as you know it?
Everyones on vacation and you seem to know so tell us? Show us how absurd this blog.is.Because before I say anything I want to make sure I have the facts. Who owns a barn who kept what in the barn and how come one one in Painesville knew of a "Quote".
While your at it explain why payment for work work on Grand River Ave. hadn't been payed by aleast the first of the month? Do people usually wait a year to get paid? For only 12 people on this blog. they seem to know alot about whats going on in town? Your system would probably load the city up with alot of illegal aliens that couldn't vote. Another consipiracy? Please lets hear about the horse?

Maybe changes are coming?
Ask "Mr. Painesville" Joe Hada what happened when he went into Wesley Village for signatures. Was he politely asked to leave? Some in town maybe waking up?

Along with your Horse story, maybe theres a plumbing story in there somewhere. I know the story your trying to find and someone just has to ask the CM if its true?

At June 21, 2009 at 11:29 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I did not ask him Mr. Hada to leave, and We live at Wesley Village, so don't you talk for us.

We think we know who you are, so you talk for yourself.

Question:

Why is there a traffic signal at Corwin Dr. & Jackson St.? Does anyone know and who paid for it?

Someoneplease tell me where Wesley Village is?

At June 22, 2009 at 6:41 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Where was a horse story even mentioned? What are you talking about? this makes no sense.

At June 22, 2009 at 9:30 AM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

Wesley Village is the complex right behind Harvey High School. He was probably asked to leave because they have a no solicitation policy and not because of who he is. Believe me to some people that is sacred!
