"START ME UP"

Someone else has tossed his hat into the ring.Well known Painesville business man Richard Tibbits has taken out petitions to run for Council at Large. Interesting.
Someone who knows the facts and is always well prepared. This person will not be a bobblehead and people will learn this soon.

Something to think about, would it give an advantage or disadvantage to Mrs. DiNallo, and Mr. Fodor if the School Board ran a levy this November?

Will John Murphy use the Cleveland Magazine article in his campaign? If you like more of this don't vote for me?

great, just what we need, another landlord on council. Maybe we can ignore the excessive number of rentals a little more until we hit 75%.

That sure sounds like you already supporting him, I thought you weren't going to do that on this site?

Have any of you viewed or checked out Mr. Tibits rentals? Instead of complaining ask him to show you a few. You might be surprised.
Term, are you sure hes not a Hada wanabe he was appointed to that Housing Task Force by Mr. Hada?

The Board will do everything it can to promote these two of their own. Hope Dr. Hanlon doesnt change his sign rules from afew years ago. Interesting idea, a levy cant decide if it would help or hurt.
Negative campaigns usually dont work but what does he offer? A different approach? You like this road stay on it, or take a new road?

What a concept, someone who has a business background instead of being a teacher, or being employed by the schools. Teachers won't be able to vote for them because so few live intown, even their bosses.

Someone ask the fire chief what the respose time to Casement Ave. now?

A landlord has a "business" background?, you mean someone who has LMHA, Section 8, neighboring, etc. phone numbers memorized. Thats all the business most of the landlords in this city need.

Maybe if your councilman friend wasn't so concerned how they make concrete red, this might have been resolved before it started,Term?

Hada's just loading the ticket with his cronies, Fodor,Dinalo, not Tibbits, whats he so worried about?

"Response to Casement"..you want to complain about..maybe you should complain to the County Engineer's Office. Why after THREE YEARS Casement Avenue still isn't repaired??? They have built bridges in less time than this, but still drag their feet on this project.

As for fire and emergency response, the road is still passable to allow emergency equipment to access Casement Ave. Did you forget there are residents that live on Steele and Grand River Ave..or did you think a barge came down the river and took them out of the back of their property????

Madpooper
Fix my streets but don't increase fire response time. How about mutual aid? Station on Bowhall? Maybe you want your own high level bridge to the city with a private access road to your compost pile. Sorry, want a smoother road, you will have to live with this for awhile. My street will be the last one repaired so I have little sympathy for you.

My street is in worse shape than the Casement hill and we are not on any scheduled to be fixed.

What is your problem Anonymous 8:28 pm? Did I ask for sympathy? I think NOT.

There are 4 widows and several families with kids up here. I posted two lines and this is only thing you can jump on. Get life! Focus on gardening or talk a walk at the lake, take a laxative as you seem to be fixated on bowel movements, better yet build a compost bin and get some worms!

have a happy hot day in the ville'!

Madpooper, It might be you holy than thou attitude, your preaching from your soap box or just the way you look down from your holy Mount Casement that brings out a reaction in me. I will say it comes from the other end though, as in upchuck.

You complain and tell us what's good for us. How about a few solutions for a change. Talk the talk then walk the walk. You bailed on this blog but at least Term still walks the walk.

As far as who lives on your street, why are they any different from the other end of town that response time is longer. Are you saying that you are more important than they are. Again, in an Emergency there is a station on Bowhall that is probably closer than Painesville's anyway. I doubt they would refuse mutual aid to you if needed.

Morning Anonymous!

Good to know you can use my words as an emetic!

You should come up to the Holy Mount, in fact the house next door is on the market for the whooping sale price of $79,000 for 3 bedroom house on a half acre and with all the city amenities. We bought our house on a land contract from the owner as it had sat abandoned for two years. We have done almost all the work ourselves. I'll even help you put in a garden if you like.

I have never ever said anyone is more important than anyone else, ever!

I have posed solutions as they work for us, sorry they don't work for you. Yeah, the city doesn't like them either. Hey, do you work for the city?

I "bailed" on the blog because I work 3 part time jobs, took care of parents who passed away and the rest is none of you business..... but life sometimes changes very fast. I also think if you talk to Term he might add he has become a target.
To be honest, I don't care that much.

Found what works for me and my family, have no idea what works for everybody else! Sorry but I do walk the walk, at least as far as the city zoning will allow me.

I keep up another blog on Paine Falls, I like it here.
Not too crazy about the 'ville. My kids have been through the city schools and have gone on to do quiet well. They are not coming back and that is too bad.

Whatever floats your compost ......... just eat your vegetables out of your own garden, keep your nose clean and be happy! (that should be good for one holier than thou upchuck)

I don't understand some of you. You should be so lucky to have a neighbor like madpotter. I know some love to hide behind anonymous but I have yet to hear her go after you like some go after her. I would thank my lucky stars to live near her. Also some of you seem to be under the impression that madpotter has something to do with smoking? She makes pottery.
Lets chase her out of Painesville for giving a damn.

Everyone here is anonymous if by their name you can't tell who they are. Whether it be anonymous or a legit login name or a name you make up each time and put at the end to make it seem like there are more people with your point of view. Term is the only one who is not anonymous. We know who he is. Identities have a way of telling much more than just what is written like if a candidate were to get on here and bash incumbents or incumbents bash challengers we would all know the bias but this blog is void of that information. And NO I am not willing to just take someone's word that they are in fact a person named "susan" or "karen" or "john" or anything else.

The only reason for a name is so when someone answers a comment we know which one it is, some of you have answered comments by the time they were posted, it works to.

Please. People regularly post to "anonymous 8:35" and it is clear who people are talking to. Term you are the only one who is honest about who they are. For all we know there could be people posting with self-serving interests (challenging candidates) who just bash the city with the only intention of helping their campaign. At least we know you. At least we all know where you are coming from. You are buddies with Murphy, a challenging candidate. I commend you for your honesty.

At June 30, 2009 at 1:59 PM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

I haven't seen any hammering on candidates, I think John Murphy is sorta a lightning rod for people who like the way things are. Joe Hada takes a hit now and then probably because hes been around so long. Believe me I don't want this to get out of hand. Do you feel I bash the city unfairly?

"Do you feel I bash the city unfairly?"

Yes. All of your posts are slanted agaisnt the city. There is really no arguing it. That is your bias and I get it. That doesn't mean a meaningful discussion still cant be had. Its just important to know where everyone is coming from. So from time to time it might be important to remind the readers of your bias.

"I haven't seen any hammering on candidates"
True Statement. But I don't think Hada or your buddy Murphy have been taking it real bad on here either. The comments are pretty general and they should be. You have done a decent job of that. HOWEVER, my point was, and you can't really argue with me on this, is that a challenging candidate could very well be posting on here bashing the city in general. This has the effect of helping their campaign. If someone is posting for self-serving reasons then it is important to know for a reader, so they can gauge for themselves how much weight to give to a comment.

Thanks for your comment and I respect your reasoning. I guess all I can say is this city seems to have its fair share of cheerleaders, but it takes more than that to make a good team.

Is your team Tibbets

At July 2, 2009 at 3:45 AM , Anonymous TERM said...

Mr. Tibbets would be well qualified, my team? It's along way to November with alot of questions.

Just to add here I have been gathereing signatures for John Murphy and I ask people if they wouldn't mind signing. If they ask me something about John I get their phone number and tell them he will get back to them. A couple of days ago I was approached by someone gathering signatures for a candidate and this person explained to me why I shouldn't vote for someone. I didnt sign that petition over that reason only. I would sign any petition to have a candidate run for office. If they just wanted to signup to run, I don't need the extra B.S.
