Well it appears Painesville Superintendent of schools has landed as the new CEO of the Fine Arts Association effective January 29,2018. I've been told with a smile these two were meant for each other? I'd heard the rumors, now PCLS can again search for a new superintendent.
Fine Arts Association can be thankful for the serendipitous timing of his retirement. Let's hope he never has a hissy fit at one of their meetings.
Let's just hope the Painesville School Board doesn't decide to take resident's on another 'dog and pony' show where they ask for input and then ignore it from resident's?
The secret is presently the best possible choice is sitting in an office at Harvey High School, but as we realize lot's of politics at play. Unless this Board can secure a candidate from say Texas, New Mexico or Arizona who knows all the ins and outs of educating Hispanic children in an American environment we should stick with the known quality we have. Our system is to far behind for more on the job training.
You have to wonder how much a teacher who fears an administration has a bearing on the quality of teaching they do? PCLS has become keep quite and just collect your check.
Since the last election has shown, this is a good reason to elect the best people who want to serve the community in the capacity of a Board of Education. Trust me their not in it for the money!
AS most know by now Jim Nabors, Private Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. has past away.
You have to hand it to Gomer a Marine who served in the Corps. from September 1964 thru May 1969 Gomer and his platoon lead by Sgt. Carter seemed somehow never to deployed to Nam or anywhere else for that matter, Now that's fiction! Ask any Marine

Too bad you and so many other liberals have this backward. We should not HAVE to change our teaching ways. These kids and adults are the ones that need to change. If it was done properly, those students would be tested same as American children. Should be required to be vaccinated, same as American children. They should be required to speak English before entering kindergarten. Are you aware how much money is spent because of the 'special needs' for these Mexican kids? Make it even easier - Stop this 2-language non-sense. Make English the official language of the US.

The schools were wonderful when Mr Hanlon left. Then came Mr Shepard, a ray of sunshine and a blessing. If you think putting Mr McWreath in as superintendent will be good, you are mistaken. He has shown demanding behavior. Very inconsiderate when talking to him, interrupting and doesn't want to hear what the other person has or needs to say. And very rude, demanding wont give or not open to new thoughts and not personable at all. Good luck PCLS if Ms. Dolney has her way and gives him the job. You will have gone backwards again and not forward.

I believe the only reason that English was not made our official language many years ago is because it was a promise to Puerto Rico. (Anyone can correct me if they think I do not remember that correctly.) Well, that was a long time ago, and now we have lost our one-language country, thanks to the invasion by Hispanics/Latinos. It is WAY past time to correct and update that stance and make English our official language. And, by the way 2:08, it wasn't long ago on this board that you thought English should officially be made the language of our country, and thought it already was. But anything to slam those Republicans, even if it has nothing to do with anything that is being talked about. 12:02 was talking about the schools and our language, and the Democrats have no room to talk on any of the other stuff, so what's your point? About 20 years ago, the then-Mexican president said that the Mexicans were coming, they were going to keep coming, they were not going to conform to our language like all other immigrants had done up until then, and there was nothing we could do about it. So far, he was right, wasn't he? It's time to take our country back from illegals, and it's time to make this a one-language country again.
