"SQUEEZE BOX" who

There's no escape from the music
In the whole damn street

SO WHO'S GETTING SQUEEZED NOW?

Today's News-Herald;

Ohio ACLU sends letter to police over immigration policy

The American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio sent a letter to our police department to discontinue a new policy the ACLU says "invites blatant and unlawful racial profiling.

This 413 policy states police will notify U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement when a suspected illegal immigrant is affiliated with a gang or criminal organization and/or receives any drug or violence charge.
This is the part I love.
"This policy makes the entire Painesville community- especially it's many immigrant families-Less safe."

Will someone explain that to me. Do we now want to harbor violent criminals?

So who's the bad guy? Simple Painesville Police Chief Powalie, damned if he does and damned if he don't.

First PPD are not going to be running the streets asking to see anyone 'papers' only if a crime is committed will identification will be asked for.

As I mentioned in an earlier post of those 16 people that spoke at the council meeting not a one suggested a solution or what exactly they wanted the police to do? Does the ACLU?

So if Chief Powalie should ignore 413 and an innocent resident should be injured or worse killed he will be then somewhat held responsible for the incident. " You had him and you didn't report him, what kind of fool are you?" This could have all been avoided. Hindsight.

No our chief is in a no win situation, I hope he doesn't believe council will have his back? Myself I believe he will get thrown under the bus.

So to those 40 or so people who showed up at the council meeting give us a plan, a solution what exactly would you like the police to do with a criminal who isn't even supposed to be here, truthfully explain yourselves, teach us.

***************************************************************************

A Letter from Painesville Police Chief Anthony Powalie

The perception of this policy and the letter from the ACLU has caused people to believe this policy is something that it's not.

It is a post-arrest procedure , not a pre-arrest racial profiling.

*************************************************************************

In other words if you are in this city and are an illegal immigrant DON'T be involved in a felony, a drug incident or gang activity.

SORRY IF YOU ARE YOU GOTA GO!

I would urge anyone who supports the ACLU to please stop supporting them. They cause so much trouble in this country doing and saying such stupid things and taking everything to such a degree that it interferes with our country and our laws. They're just an asinine group of people who make sure they keep themselves in jobs and plenty of money by making trouble where no trouble is and no trouble should be.

Sorry 1:33 am we NEED the ACLU to keep the 1st amendment a viable part of the constitution. If you value your freedom of speech, expression and/or right to protest I suggest you support the ACLU too.
A healthy democracy is based on good healthy debate, if we start shutting those avenues down we are no better than a dictatorship or a communist regime.

this is not a new 'policy', it has been in place for years. you must understand that local police have no jurisdiction over illegal immigrants, they have to rely on their own local laws or state laws, there are none. The police must rely on ICE for federal intervention, if ICE says they are not coming, the illegals walk away.
What powalie was doing putting this in writing is beyond, well that is powalie

I have traveled overseas quite a bit and you can rest assured if was pulled over and did not have a proper visa, I was out, no questions asked. The local authorities have no choice because at because of all the jurisdiction's different powers.

I feel for the local police, what can they do and powalie does not have their backs.

12:51 I can't agree with you more. We live in a great democracy and what makes it great is a citizen's right to question the government. You are not forced to believe his views but he has the right to express them.
2:29 Sorry, I haven't heard that? Now the Chief has a job to do and also takes orders. My hope is that the administration and council support him and his officers.

This is 1:33, and I stand by my opinion, 12:51. I, too, used to support the ACLU, but now it is an organization that fights every rule of law this country has and fights ridiculous fights for people who break our laws. They aren't who they used to be, and I would again urge anyone who is supporting them to stop supporting them. We don't need those particular people to make sure the laws of our land are upheld. They are a problem to our democracy now, and again I say, they continue to make problems where there are no problems and where no problems should exist. They are not the only thing in between us and communism, for Heaven's sake and the organization has been out of control for a long time. I wouldn't give them another dime, and I hope no one else who likes the laws of this land does either.

I am reading The News-Herald's article about the ACLU sending a letter to Chief Powalie, and I am again outraged at the ACLU. In case anyone thinks the ACLU is part of our government; it is not. It is a separate organization that is in recent years trying to stymie and subvert the workings of our local, state and federal governments that, among other things, are trying to keep us safe. And now some joker named Elizabeth Bonham is sending our police chief a letter trying to intimidate him from upholding the laws and protecting the citizens of our city and our country. And she's screaming racism, of course. So let me tell you, Ms. Bonham, there is nothing racist about keeping illegal criminals out of our country. And, yes, there IS a certain segment they are going after -- ILLEGAL CRIMINALS. The illegals have screamed racism ever since they started coming here illegally and staying. It has done a very good job of shutting people up for a long time...long enough for us to lose our one-language country and to have many millions of illegals here taking our money and our jobs and committing crimes from one end of America to the other. And now we have the ACLU with their nose in our business helping them. Your letter is a crock, Ms. Bonham. Please find something more important to do with your time and all that donated money than to continue to throw monkey wrenches into the laws of The United States of America. And now Katie Jenkins and City Manager Monica Irelan are kissing the butts of the stupid people who don't want the laws of our country to be upheld. Ms. Bonham mentions, apparently, that one quarter of our city is Hispanic. Meaning 9/10ths of those are illegal. We're in deep crap here. Anyone who does not agree with Ms. Bonham, and the dangerous turn the ACLU has taken in recent years, needs to please stand up and support Chief Powalie and our police as they are trying to keep us and our families safe. I know you and your organization have to find lots of law-subverting activities to keep that donated money flowing in, Ms. Bonham, but please try to find something to do besides trying to stop the legal workings of our city and country.

They have not mistaken the intent of the policy, Chief Powalie -- they are purposefully misconstruing it. Thank you for 413, and please continue to try to protect us against ILLEGAL criminals. God knows, we've got enough of our own -- we don't need to be letting them in illegally to put us MORE jeopardy, and then once they're here, letting them stay here. You were hired to do your job for the safety of our community, and you are doing it. Please continue to do what you need to do, and that most certainly includes getting all illegal criminals out of our city, and calling I.C.E. for their help. If a criminal is deported because they are illegal and a family is split up, that is all the fault of the adults in the family making previous decisions against the laws of our country, and then now making current decisions to not have the family go with them. Sorry, those are personal problems that they brought on themselves. I know it's a tough concept, but in this country we have laws and if you break them, there are usually consequences. Me and my family have always followed all laws; the fact that these people did not, is all the more reason to get them out of the country and away from law-abiding Americans.

I have a little tip for every illegal that is unhappy with this country upholding a FEW of it's immigration laws...especially the ones who have the audacity to march in our streets or show up at meetings demanding rights from this country...GO HOME. You have your own country, so go there, and get out of this one. You know how many illegal Americans that Mexico lets live in Mexico, for example? Answer: NONE. You are not only stealing from my country, you are stealing from my family, so turn around and go back the way you came. As an aside, even the illegals that don't live in this country steal from our health care. They cross the borders as a matter-of-fact way-of-life whenever they or their children want/need health care. Many of them fly in from other countries to have their babies here, so their children will be Americans. If many Americans had their way, you would all be gone, and I hope soon that will be the case, so if I were here illegally, I sure as heck would not be asking any more favors than you have already had/taken.

Probably 3/4 of the WORLD'S population want to come here to live. And they were coming by the thousands every day for many years now. There was no end in sight until now. Most of them are dependent on the American people's handouts for their survival, and for the survival of their children, and they will be for many decades to come. They are bleeding our charities and the American workers dry. They are bleeding our health care system dry. Many actual Americans can't afford health care. But come here illegally, and you get a free ride. Now it takes a two-income family to even try to survive if you have some kind of regular American job. Americans are taking care of the whole world. This illegal immigration has America and Americans on their knees. I'm not trying to pit Dem's against Rep's here at all, but the bare truth is that if Hillary Clinton had won, and legalized all the illegals here, whom she has no idea how many there are, or who they are, and continued to let in anyone who wanted to come, our country would have been over within this year. There would have been a few gasping years left, but then we would no longer have been able to sustain it. We would also be being blown up daily like the rest of the world is, and we've already been blown up enough, don't you think? Then who takes care of the world? And when the world is collapsing, as it actually IS at this moment, then who in turn comes back to rescue us? For anyone who wants to actually think about the big picture, that is it. It's not far fetched, it's not Republican, it's not against American values; it's just the real, scary truth.

For anyone who sees this picture as I do, I can tell you what to do about it. We need to support our local, state and federal lawmakers, like Chief Powalie, while they are trying to get the illegal criminals out of our country. We need to demand that our governments rewrite the temporary field-workers laws, so that they work for the farmers and also the temporary workers. They also need to make sure guest workers are in the fields ONLY, and that they go home at the end of the growing season like they used to. We need to demand that our government stop misreading the "anchor baby" amendment. Even the man who wrote that amendment went back and added a few sentences to make sure that it would not be misread this way and take our country down. And lastly, we need to have an honest discussion about what to do with the rest of the illegals, and I can assure you that if we want to keep America strong, the answer is not to leave the rest here. I agree there has to be some concessions, but not many, in my opinion. America is almost over, and we still have people who have not opened their eyes and looked around. The world is being blown to bits. If you care so much about all these people in all these countries who do not have it as good as we do, go help them in their own countries. That, in fact, would be good for them and also for America. Americans are broke and broken, and we can't have people like the people who showed up in our city meeting telling us we need more of the same. For one thing, our homes here are worth nothing now, and that is no small consequence to people who have their life savings in their homes. And we can't be listening to shameful people like Elizabeth Bonham from the ACLU who is trying to shame and scare US. Be quiet, Ms. Bonham, and please go find something that is actually useful to do. You could go volunteer in Mexico, for example, and try to teach them the value of educating their people. Just think how you could help change the world and make it a better place if you actually wanted to. We're down enough, and we're down all we can go now with any hope of survival, and I'm not even sure if we CAN regain our strength at this point.

IMO, both sides want illegals here, just for different self serving reasons.
The GOP likes them as they are a cheap labor force afraid to complain about anything.
The Dems like them because they see them as votes.
Anytime both sides agree on an issue like this (where they normally would not agree) we are in deep trouble.

12:23, this is 8:11. Yes, d$mn it, I am aware. I am aware that Reagan started this mess when he gave amnesty, and I am one of the people who fought Bush tooth and nail not to give the amnesty that he almost did. I was a Democrat then, and I recently voted for Trump to save America. Now, I would rather be dead than ever vote Democratic again. BUT I SAID THAT THIS IS NOT A REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT ISSUE. THIS IS A SAVE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ISSUE, AND A SAVE THE WORLD ISSUE. Quit being (or acting like) a Democrat. And none of that takes away from the fact that the Democrats ran on legalizing every illegal in this country so that they could win the election. And none of this means that Obama wasn't sneaking in many times the number of Syrian refugees than he said he was, and Clinton was out front telling everyone that they were vetted very well, while behind closed doors she laughed and said there was no way to vet them at all. Let's just all get smart now, cut the crap, and save America.

Your comment about jailing the people who employ illegals is what I have been saying for years.
I fully understand why they come here. It is to better their lives. However, if there was no work offered, I suspect the number of illegals would be a lot lower.
Whether they are employed in the fields (like here), in hotels, or in sweat shops, if there was no work I would find it hard to believe that they would come here.
This would be a much less expensive solution that building a wall.
BTW, for those of you who have not traveled along our southern border I will tell you that this wall will be next to impossible to build. The expanse of land is beyond anything we can imagine in Ohio. I have driven along a lot of the border and I would bet a lot of money that our President has never seen it.

One solution to this problem - Make English the official language of the US. How much do we spend in documents, signs, etc. printed in two different languages? How much is spent giving tests in school in two or more languages? How much is spent in educating two groups of students when there really should only be one. Speak it in your home like our parents and grandparents did but you darn well should be able to learn and speak it before entering school. This would be an economical start to stopping this situation. But, which politician is brave enough to bring this to the public?

This is 2:28. I don't spread fake news, but I do watch for the actual truth. The Syrian refugees issue was brought forward by at least two agencies. One of them was the border patrol, and I can't remember which other ones. But when it hit the press, hardly nobody touched it. It was fettered out, and it was true. If I recall properly, there was at least 10,000 more than he said he was bringing in, and at the time, no one was sure that he had intended to stop there. He had been sneaking them in, but then he secretly and quietly brought many thousands of people in while nobody paid attention. For one he was busing children with no parents all over the country and dropping them off in the middle of cities, and telling the cities to raise them and deal with it. That got no coverage either. I just watched a long report on how a lot of those boys ended up in the gangs. And he and Hillary had many more Syrian refugees in the pipeline. I'm not sure if they all got through after Trump took office, but they probably did. Dates? I have no idea, and I don't have time to go back and look it up. Hillary promised during the campaign to bring in at least twice the Syrian refugees as Obama had promised. I'm sure that's all out there somewhere, because she was very proud of her stance on that. After she spouted it about 50 times, a hot-mic tape showed up showing her laughing and saying there is no way on earth that Syrian refugees can be vetted. I believe she had even said during a debate that they could all be vetted, and that we were vetting them well, but then the tape showed up.

And, yes, we do need a wall, and the e-verify, and the ban on Muslims to try to save us from a few bombings/mass shootings, along with deportations and everything else we can do. The government needs to get their act together and fix the broken temporary-worker program to protect the farmers, and then get most of the rest out.

4:16, this is 8:11. I personally wouldn't give amnesty to anybody I didn't have to. If someone served in our armed forces, and they had a clean record, I would give them amnesty, along with their spouse, if any, and their children. No extended family beyond that. I have no idea why we let non-citizens fight in our services, but we do. It seems dangerous to me in this day and age. But if they serve honorably, and they have no criminal records, I don't see how we could deny them the right to this country. I also think we will have to give amnesty to anyone who can prove they are the parents of any anchor baby under a certain age if they have clean criminal records. This would be tricky, because of the love of false documentation by so many of the illegals, so the government would have to figure that out. I would not make them citizens, but I would allow them to stay here at least until the kids are of age. If I was Trump, I would possibly make that concession for the trade off of changing the way we read the -- what is it? -- the 13th amendment? -- and stop the anchor baby wholesale give-away of our country. I have no idea how many millions of people that is, however. Whatever the number, it is too many, and I can't think of anyone else that I would give a pass to, but unless we renege on some of the birth-right citizenships, these kids are citizens. But I don't think all the parents should be allowed to stay. If those kids are old enough -- maybe 25 -- when all this takes place, considering that it does, then I would not grant the parents even temporary amnesty. At that age, the kids can decide to stay on their own, or return to the home of their parents (and I am assuming that those kids would probably be duel-citizens of that home country also). I am a little torn on whether the parents should get amnesty or not, but they would have to stay at least until the children are raised. I do know that I would not make them citizens. If they are allowed to stay, they could be legal residents, but I would not grant them anymore rights to this country than they have to have. Anyway, something like that... I think there could be as many as 40 million illegals here from every country in the world, and I have no idea how many anchor babies there are. I would not grant citizenship to the Dreamers. There are just too many illegals here, and it's nobody's fault but their parents. Their parents have a home country, and that's where those kids belong. Many of them are in their 30's by now, they are not citizens, and they are not our problem.

11:29. ICE says we need a wall. The Border Patrol says we need a wall. The Department of Homeland Security says we need a wall. Authorities in Texas say we need a wall, etc. And if you watch what is happening at our borders, you will see that we need a wall. These experts know what they are talking about by looking at the actual circumstance and reality of the situation and the facts, and being on-site, and not some group-think Democrats and the ACLU who don't have anything to back up that stance, except that that is what their stance is. You know, so that they can call everyone who wants a wall a racist and try to win elections and/or raise money that way. And this time, maybe we can build walls that people are not able to easily climb; that would probably be a good idea. Also, every authority I have heard talk about the wall, says we really need two, so if the first one is breached, they have a chance to apprehend everyone before they cross the second wall. I saw one company on TV that seemed to have an excellent high-tech designed wall. It had sensors so that if anyone tried to drill a hole, climb it, tunnel under it, etc., the exact breach would be given to the Border Patrol station, along with a visual, and I think the whole thing had a visual anyway, so basically the monitoring was carried out by the technology on the wall and at the Border Patrol station, with officers only needed for an attempted breach. It was cheap to build, and seemed to address every problem that could come up. I hope they got a chance to submit their idea and design to President Trump.

11:29. If I were a Democrat, I don't think I'd be accusing a Republican of fake news. Probably the reason you don't know all of this has been going on for eight years is because you're watching CNN, etc., and they would rather make fun of the president (like they're in junior high) over what he ate and drank during an important dinner with many dignitaries from other countries, than report on what actually went on during that dinner with many dignitaries from other countries. I just got on Google Chrome and typed in "Hillary Clinton hot mic Syrian refugees cannot be vetted." A lot of things popped up that will probably be of interest. I didn't have time to research them all to see if all of the info that is being discussed here right now is right there or not, but it's at least a good start. I didn't immediately see in the headings where Obama brought in many more Syrian refugees than he told the American people he would, but I do see where Hillary was promising to bring in 620,000 in her first term. There are videos of the debates between her and Trump. I believe it was in one of those debates that he said that Syrian refugees couldn't be vetted, and she snapped back that they could. I'm not sure if that particular debate is right there, but it can't be far away, along with Obama's lies about those refugees. I don't know if the actual hot mic tape is right there in those first few headings, but there are several references to it, so it, too, must be close.

The dangerous people of the ACLU also had/have their noses in the middle of the president's attempted travel ban of Muslims from the seven countries deemed most dangerous for brewing terrorists. This list of countries was created by Obama, but when Trump tried to protect us by this temporary travel ban until he could figure out what best to do to protect us, the Democrats, including activist judges and the ACLU, stepped forward and have stopped it. This is insanity at its best. For one thing, the president does have the right to protect us from certain groups of people if he deems it necessary. But of course the
ACLU and the Democrats are screaming racism for political points. Would this ban completely protect us from terrorists? No, but it was his attempt at doing the best they could think of to do at the moment, and it should have been done. Like it or not, the facts are that it is Muslims who are blowing up, and running over, and mowing down with assault rifles, etc., the people of the world. It's not Christians, or Jews; it's Muslims. Are decent, law-abiding Muslims going to pay some price for what their crazy counterparts are doing? Yes, but nothing can be done about that right now. And as we have seen, even those decent Muslims are having their second-generation children radicalized quickly and easily. People need to get out of their group-think, stop screaming their usual racism crap, and wake up. People need to get out of the way of the people who are trying to save our country and our world. It's real, and it's frightening, and it's right here, right now. Most of the news channels and news outlets now are not reporting the real news and/or they're editing and twisting the real news, and it's leaving people woefully uninformed. There is no room for all this political game-playing and immaturity. This should be mature Americans backing our laws, our president and the unprecedented qualified team of national security people that he has put in place. There is also no room for the ACLU who is keeping themselves well funded by screaming racism and putting America and the world in more jeopardy than we are already in.

10:28: As usual, you are misconstruing things. As I said, the anchor baby amendment is being misread. The man who wrote it even went back and added a couple of sentences to make sure it wouldn't be misread this way and take down our country as it is now. It just has to start being read correctly. In 1993, Democrat Harry Reid introduced a bill, The Immigration Stabilization Act, that would change the current reading, denying citizenship to children of illegal immigrants. I guess that law went nowhere because the Democrats decided by not doing that, they could have more people voting Democratic. Be damned the country. And here you are, in this day and age, after watching everything that is happening to our country and all around the world, denying that we need a wall.

And as I said, President Trump has put together the best national defense team that anyone has ever seen, and they all say we need a wall. But of course, you, and the rest of the Democrats must know better. You'd rather let everyone in, and then pay millions for each person during their lifetimes and the lifetimes of all their offspring for each one. Not to mention terrorists. And, of course, you won't listen to the experts, because that's how you guys get votes; you know, by calling the Republicans racists. We also don't know how much the wall will cost. Many Americans came forward with many fantastic, cheaper ideas, as I said.

12:42, I listened to all the experts in our government along with the Border Patrol speak on the wall issue recently, and they said and showed where the problems were. They did say that there were some areas that would not need a wall, and some that could not have a wall. They did have solutions for those areas, but I can't exactly remember what they said. I think they were talking about cameras or just some kind of high-tech surveillance in those areas, but they all agreed that we needed walls. They actually said that two sets of walls with a road in between was the safest thing so that they could catch people by the time they reached the second wall if they missed them at the first.

And, again, 10:28, you and people like you are the reason that I am no longer a Democrat. I refused to continue to sit around and listen to the likes of Hillary Clinton and CNN telling lies and misleading the American public. I was sick of them acting like babies while our country was/is being demolished because of them. Just keep watching CNN; that way you'll continue to be completely uninformed, and you can continue to spout the same old worn-out things that got this country into this mess.

How about the cartoon in Saturday's News-Herald where it talked about Clinton's crony John Podesta getting $35 million from the Russians; Bill Clinton getting $500,000 for a speech in Russia; how Sec. of State Hillary Clinton sold 20% of our uranium to Russia (I thought it was Iran she sold our uranium to. Am I mistaken, or was it both), and how then The Clinton Foundation got MILLIONS in donations from Russia. Want to talk about that? Thank goodness enough Americans are informed enough that they voted for Trump to save our country. The fact that so many of the Democrats and also the entire ACLU are fighting him and continuing to put our country in so much danger is appalling to me.

12:42. You probably already know about the e-verify, but for anyone who may not, the e-verify system was created by our government to be put in place in all the businesses of our country. Employers could then check the legal status of everyone applying for work, and they would be punished for hiring anyone who did not show up on that system as someone who could legally work in this country. They made it optional, however, so that is one of the things that the government could do now. They could make that mandatory. I do worry that someone who is legal to work would not be in the system as such, which could be a disaster for that person, so I hope if they do that that there is a quick way to have any confusions worked out. But the system has been created for that already.

12:42 You don't exactly know how it was said? A road between to walls? How do you build a Wall in the middle of the Rio Grande River? Now you want TWO walls! The Wall is only symbolic. Also I don't think you have the votes in the REPUBLICAN House and Senate to fund a Wall! Congress holds the purse strings.
I think the Supreme Court should rule on the anchor-baby amendment, don't you?
Hillary Clinton didn't sell Uranium to Russia without the approval of 20 other agencies.
Myself I wonder how far away Mr. Trump is to "High Crimes ands Misdemeanors"?
This smoke over Russia appears to about flashover?
FYI I watch CNN, FOXNEWS and MSNBC. Read the NY Times as well as the Wall Street Journal. Something I suggest you also do.

1:36...concerning making English the official language of our country. I'm pretty sure that that was never done because of a concession to Puerto Rico. I'm not 100% sure that it was Puerto Rico, but I'm pretty sure. That is something that could certainly be revisited now and changed as soon as we figure out what to do about the illegals. And I'm with you on that; we need one language in this country, and it is the language that this country was founded on. Somewhere around 25-30 years ago, a lot of people like myself realized that the seasonal field workers were no longer going home after the growing season was done, and that so many were staying in the country illegally and/or coming illegally, and that that, along with our misreading of the anchor baby amendment, was going to take down America. We started to speak out and fight it, and the Mexican government fired back. They said that their people were coming, legal or not, and that there was nothing we could do about. They said that they were not going to conform to our demands, like everyone else from other countries had done since the founding of our country, and speak our language. They said they were coming, they were going to speak Spanish, and we would have to conform to them. As it appears, they were correct. At least for now. And that was back when nobody came here to work in the fields (and it was fields-only workers, not construction, for example) without legal papers to do so. We have a very narrow window here to save ourselves, but if we all get involved, it can probably still be done.

5:14, this is 4:44, and I assume you meant me. To you, I say, you're just spouting more dribble. It's you and people like you who got us into these messes; it's me and people like me who are trying to get us out. Maybe you should go get a Kleenex; I think that's actual drool coming out of the side of your mouth, and I sense that you are actually reaching a level of hysteria at this point. A Kleenex won't help with that, so I don't know what to tell ya...

I quote you here.
"I listened to all the experts in our government along with the Border Patrol speak on the wall issue recently, and they said and showed where the problems were. "

First I wonder what "experts" you have been listening to? What would qualify someone as an "expert"?
Is the President an expert?
Just wondering.

Secondly, have YOU seen our southern border with Mexico? I would bet a lot of money that you have not. That said, when you do see it you realize that building a wall is impractical, would be far too costly to build, costly to maintain, and likely won't accomplish what you seem to want.

Look, I am 100% against illegal immigrants but a multi billion dollar wall is not the solution.

BTW, your stuff is far too long. Try to summarize your thoughts.

5:14. So far it's been about ten months that the Dems have been searching for a Russian connection to Trump. Several people involved with the investigations, and several people with knowledge of the investigations, including some Democrats, have come out and said there has been no connection found yet. We still have to wait and see if any connections are found, because the investigations aren't over yet, but it's looking like, at this point, there are none. But the Democrats have to keep that up, because they need to keep everyone distracted from the Clinton's foundation and their connections to Russians and the Iranians, etc., and all the other really filthy stuff they've been doing for decades. And, after all, what ELSE have the Democrats got?...legalize all the illegals, open borders, letting in thousands upon thousands of Syrian and other refugees...it's not a lot to win elections on. And by the way, Hillary said that she wanted open borders, but that she could not say that in public, and that she had private views and public views, meaning she just tells the American people what she thinks they want to hear, but she actually has her own agendas. This is why she fights to keep her paid speeches quiet, and why so many shocking things came out to the public when her emails were disclosed.

RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA!!! is that all ya got, Term? Last I looked, nothing had been found on Trump, but there was enough evidence on the Clintons and Russia to put them in prison, and that's where they'd be if it weren't for the corruption of Comey and the rest of the Democrats. But you just keep spouting the same stances and policies that have us in a fight for our country because of illegal immigration, and us, and the rest of all the nations on earth, in a war with terrorists for the soul and the control of the world. (What did Obama call them?...the JV team?...along with him and Hillary refusing to call it radical Islam?) Hopefully the special prosecutor that was appointed will actually do his job correctly and investigate all of it. Meanwhile, you just keep screaming RUSSIA! They need to do a good, thorough investigation into Obama, too, so I am hoping that they will. This is a full-blown war now, and people like you need to get with the program. I wonder if Hillary will be able to send emails from prison?

Calm down and lighten up, 5:14. You seem to be the only one on here that appears to be uninformed. And you're having typical Democratic reactions when you can't defend your position, and/or when the Republicans are right...fudge, make things up, outrage, fake news, obstruct, saying in-general stupid stuff. You want more of the same when the same is taking down America and the world. Your arguments just sound insane now. You'll let us all be blown to kingdom come while you're still trying to prove you are right. Look around; you are not.

WOW! lot of Trumpster's read this blog.?
Trump is the expert on the Wall? O.K. but for the last almost two years all I heard was, "We will build a Great Wall, and who will pay for it?" Every rally 20,000 people screamed Mexico! Was he/they lying to us? I never believed Mexico would pay for crap but what happened?
Clinton Foundation and Russia, Look we have been exposed to the books of who gave what to whom... Except we have no idea what Russia gave Trump or what he owes Russia? Seems a little odd when anybody associated with the Trump campaign seems to suffer amnesia when it comes to Russian conversations? That should trouble you a little, why doesn't it? Backdoor channel? O.K. but you don't use the country you want to back channels equipment. Why you meeting with Banker's that we aren't allowed to do business with? Trump promised better health care? tax reform yet everything is stalled? Republicans are running the show? Myself I believe Trump's biggest enemies can't the DEM's or the Press but himself and his damn tweeting?
Hillary had public and private views, if she did how did we find out about the private ones? Fake news maybe? What private views on Trump can we make up?
So you want to get out of the Paris Accords? Fine, Trump just killed the coal industry? Countries in the Paris Accords now claim they will no longer import American coal. Every action has a reaction. We won't buy stuff from them? Fine pay more fore the stuff they sell. First it wasn't a 'travel ban' now it's a travel ban? I'm just sitting back watching where all this takes us. Not having much hope.

Thanks for the info 523. It will be interesting with the goings on with Puerto Rico. Will they end up being our 51st state? I haven't heard much lately about it anymore. I'm not convinced it would be a good thing or not. Either way I don't see any reason not to make English our official language should the join our union or not. I do believe we need to make a push for this though. As for the workers coming and going, check with the schools. See how many students leave over winter and don't return for months. Whilst the American children must adhere to the 2 week break. How many take their school work with them and return finished? Check the graduation rate Hispanic VS American citizens, anchor babies excluded. I'm sure the schools have those numbers but whether they would share them is another story.

5:45. No, I have not seen the wall, and I didn't say that I did, except on TV in that program. It was a special on the border, and many people from our government were there. The Border Patrol, Department of Homeland Security, Jeff Sessions, Texas lawmakers, national security people, etc. And I explained what all the experts said but you, too, apparently know more than they do. And as I said, they all said we need a wall, and that two walls would be better and more secure for us. The president is looking at all the details of it, and he probably is an expert by now. I also said that they were looking at many designs, and I did see a design from a company on TV that was very cheap and would be tremendously effective, and that the experts were explaining what could be done with high-tech equipment in the places where no walls could be built. But it seems nothing sinks in when you don't want it to. I mean, really, go back and read what I wrote.

Have you seen what is happening in Germany, France, Italy, etc.?! Have you seen how they are losing their countries and becoming the Middle East, and everyone is being slaughtered? Have you forgotten all that has happened HERE with Muslims already? You're not too bright, are you? It's always Dems vs. Republicans for you, and never what is actually best for America. I hope it's not one of yours that gets blown up next. The ban has been hindered for so long now, however, that we'll be lucky if we don't turn around and see that we ARE now Germany, France and Italy, and we're all being blown up. I mean, really, stop being such a Democrat that you can't calm down and think.

June 3, 8:57 a.m.: You asked what concessions do I think we could make with the illegals. I haven't thought it all through yet as far as what my opinions are on that, but right now the only amnesty I am sure I think should be made is for anyone who served honorably in our armed forces and has no criminal record. I would grant amnesty to them and their immediate family, meaning their children and spouse, if any, and that is it. No long, extended family. And I would stop anyone who is not an American from serving in the future. It's just too dangerous, in my opinion, to have them so close to our soldiers, for one thing. I'd have to think about the rest, but I can tell you what I think we need to be doing right now while the president is getting all the illegal criminals out.

We need to all get up and get out and start calling and marching, etc., and demand that our people in power stop the misreading of the anchor baby amendment. We need to demand that they get a legal guest-worker program in place again quickly (for the fields only) to protect our farmers, and so that we can get the ones here illegally out. Workers used to come here legally with papers, and leave at the end of the growing season. And when the time is right, we need to demand that the e-verify system that the government created is mandatory for every business in America. I think when all the criminals are out that we can find, they need to start that slowly. There could be 40 million illegal people here, and many have children who are now Americans, and a lot of them own homes, so a lot of things need to be worked out first. But it's my opinion that we all need to gather together right now -- all the Republicans, and hopefully many Democrats can at least agree with us on those two things -- and fight for those things right now. If enough of us demanded it, it could be done now, and it would be two more huge steps in saving America.

This is why the country is in so much trouble, and this is why the world is in so much trouble...people like you who are so narrow-minded and partisan that you will keep screaming the same, ridiculous things long after you are proven wrong...just to try to prove that Democrats are right. Look around, man, look around the United States, look around the world. It's not working; we need a new way. Yes, but many people who come don't come to work. Drug dealers, gang members, terrorists, human traffickers, family members of legals, etc., etc. If you think we can fix the problem of people illegally entering into this country without a wall, you are clearly sadly mistaken.

5:45 here and you are really good at reading things that were never written nor implied.

"For you to think that not letting people work will fix the whole problem of illegal immigration is short sighted. Do we need to stop illegal people from working here? Yes, but many people who come don't come to work. Drug dealers, gang members, terrorists, human traffickers, family members of legals, etc., etc. If you think we can fix the problem of people illegally entering into this country without a wall, you are clearly sadly mistaken."

If there is no work offered or available, they won't be coming here. The majority of the illegals are not drug dealers, gang members, or any of the other groups you mentioned. They are here to make money and support their family. I suspect that is much like you. However, by giving them jobs in the fields or factories, we are making the problem worse. My solution is to jail anyone who employs illegals.

BTW, please explain how a wall, of any sort, will stop the very people you mention from finding a way around it?? These are people who don't care and really don't have much to lose. As I said in the past, I have seen the border and it is a LOT longer than anyone sitting on their butt in Ohio can imagine. Tax dollars could be better spent in other ways.

Out!

Give us specifics and not the usual gibberish.
Billions of dollars would be spent with absolutely no way of recovering that cost.
Yep, a wise use of tax payers money.

12:17/12:20 - The track records of the Democrats and the people who think like you is why so many former Democrats voted for Trump, and it's why so many Independents voted for Trump, and it's why he won. We've seen what your incessant ("gibberish," to use 12:20's word) has done for our country, and we have seen where it is leading us. Those who voted for Trump, voted to save our country. But you two just keep saying what you're saying and doing what you're doing, and making people repeat themselves a thousand times, while you just keep saying the same old things that got us into this mess over and over and over again. The rest of us have moved on and are trying to save our country from people who think and act like you.

Not a Dem at all (not even close) but a realist. That is something you don't seem to be.
You are correct on one thing, I do not know what a wall would cost. Neither do you. What I can say is that I have seen the border and the whole idea is completely impractical. People like you seem to think it will be the "answer". I would maintain that people will just find ways around (or over) it.
The wall was one part of an idea to get someone elected. I really doubt that we will ever see it built.
Do you really think your taxes (and hospital costs) are going to be lower by building a wall? Are you really that stupid?
Again, I am not a Dem but if that makes you feels better, go with it.
