"BURN BABY BURN" disco inferno

I show you a glimmer inside the spectrum of the wizard

Bernie, Bernie Bernie and the voter's that want the free stuff!

Well I was taken to the woodshed by three young Painesville millenniums.

They invited me for coffee at an undisclosed location. Two young ladies and a young man. All of college age with their take on the Sander phenomenon. It has nothing to do with 'free' stuff.

See as you can point out that Trump is a populist so is Sanders?

As they explained they had seen a lot. 9/11 as children a country that has been at war for almost fifteen years. The collapse of the housing market, as well as the stock market during the Bush years. The stagnation of wages to the point one was willing to hate Walmart? They go to doctors and pay twenty dollars or as high as forty dollars and what they pay for prescriptions are unbelievable. They watch as other's pay nothing. There college loans are breaking their backs and they never see a way out of debt.

One worked part-time at Walmart. With her claim that the Walton family makes billions every year and has a net worth of over 150 billion. Yet for the most part the wages are so low many employees live below the poverty level. Meaning they qualify for government assistance such as earned income credit, food stamps and even Medicaid. A family making billions and the minions (us) are paying to support them?

What I gathered was although these three weren't the average socialist's that all agreed the system is rigged against everyone but the few at the top. College costs are outrages,

They believe Republican leadership is bought and paid for by the fat cats. The Party's view on climate change is anti-science. As one mentioned to me they believe the economy is more important than the environment?  Try counting your money holding your breath! or under water.

I questioned the reason for going to college? If you are going and get a degree in African studies or Early French literature why are you, and who is looking for this type of knowledge? You must seek a career where there is a need.

They mentioned the jobs leaving the United States and the amount of foreigners that legally immigrate and take their jobs with the help of employers willing to pay less than an American with the same or better skills.

This is a very dangerous group. They have given up on the American dream and believe the fix is in. Can't really blame them.

I inquired if they thought a 75 year-old man could accomplish anything for them?

Bernie Sanders hears them and listens to them they are as committed to Sanders as much as any Trump voter. Maybe not this election cycle but if things continue as present and don't change the America as we know it will be no more. Presently I look at every election as possibly my last rodeo.

It could make for an interesting election if it get's down to Trump and Sander's?  Don't see a challenge from the Republicans as well as Clinton not finding her footing!

Burger King is getting into the Hot Dog business? Why not they pretty much screwed up a hamburger. Can't wait to see someone's face when they throw that dog into the microwave?

Has there ever been a worse selection of candidates, on both sides, than we seeing in 2016?
I can hardly wait for the two parties to nominate their candidates. Then it will get really ugly.

s an older member of this group I remember the 2000 election. Especially Florida. Where the candidate with more overall votes lost. When Supreme Court Justices appointed by the father A former president along with the Florida governor who was the candidate's brother fixed the election? Yes the fix was in and look what we got to show for it.
I will never vote for a Republican ever!

11:47 "The fix is in. The fix is in." I hear it every election. PROVE IT.

As for those 3 young people I say this. The hippies used to say "Don't trust anyone over 30." That was because by 30 most people start to grow a brain and are not so gullible. Winston Churchill is credited with saying "If your not a liberal when your 18, you have no heart. If your not a conservative by the time your 40, you have no brain. I think he was on to something.

Young people know nothing! NOTHING!
Go change the world. The elites are waiting for the young know nothings to be their political soldiers.

Rant mode: OFF

Even if they might be the better choice or the better candidate?
Sounds like you deal in "confirmational bias" when you vote.

Unfortunately the one thing young people who are for Sanders (or Clinton, for that matter), are not taking under consideration is that we probably have 40 million people in our country illegally, and they probably come from every nation in the world, with most of them being Mexican and Hispanic/Latino. Unless we stop this, they will just continue to come, as there is never an end to illegals; just look around the world if you don't believe that statement by just watching what is happening in our own country. This is having such a huge impact on Americans, American jobs, and the American dream, not to mention America staying America, that I don't believe it is even actually measurable at this point. We need to stop the anchor baby crap, and we need someone in office who is going to close our borders to illegals, make sure everyone here legally goes home when their time is up, as in Visa-holders, and gets the illegals out with such things as E-Verify. If this is not done, there is absolutely -- not one chance in hell -- that America will ever provide at all for them and their children and grandchildren, etc. This is such a huge issue as to what has helped trash the American dream, and what will not only put a final nail in the coffin of the American dream, but end America as we know it and turn it into a third-world country, that there is no other more important issue. By voting for Sanders or Clinton, they are helping to finish America. I hope that they will open their minds to see the whole picture before they cast their votes for a Democrat. This is not a humanitarian issue; we cannot take in every country in the world. Mexico has ghost towns because so many of their people are here. I also wonder just what change all those people may have had in their own countries had they marched on their own governments instead of ours, while they scream and demand rights from a country they are not even in legally. Trump is really the only hope that this country has to survive; like it or not. He'll address this issue, and hopefully get it in hand, and I believe he will take care of the other important issues like jobs, economics, billions of dollars wasted every year, etc. So I hope all these young people look at a bigger picture than they are now. I'm glad they have good hearts, but if they don't use their heads, too, we'll be finished, and there isn't time to wait until the next election to do something; it's now or never. Sanders and Clinton will continue to give away this country in every way possible, and we're already on our knees, as these young people know all too well.

The reason college is so expensive is because the government has created an extremely high demand with all the college assistance. This idea that everyone should go to college is bogus. We are sending people there that have no business getting in. If you need to take remedial classes, you probably don't belong in college. Yet we keep this myth alive that everyone will benefit from college, when actually, we are sending people there that don't belong. They take on debt that they can never repay, waste away a few years when they could be earning money or taking technical training, then drop out with thousands in debt. Meanwhile this just increases the demand for the product (college), which obviously leads to price increases. We need to stop this idea that everyone should go to college.

If these young people think there is too much purposeful legal immigration aimed at taking their jobs, then why in the world are they voting for Sanders OR Clinton? It's the Democrats who have all these Visa people coming in, and I can't remember what the figure was, but I recently heard how many more of such Visas that Obama and the Democrats wanted to issue yearly, and I almost cried. The Democrats not only want to legalize whatever and whomever, and however many illegal people are here, even though we don't know how many or who they are, they have no concern for however many more want to come. They are giving away our country wholesale with no end in sight, and apparently haven't realized it's almost all gone. If immigration and economics are their main concerns, they need to vote for Trump; it makes absolutely no sense at all to vote for a Democrat. And Sanders can carry around his peace sign all he wants (I'm a child of the 60's); it's not going to matter. He's going to collapse our country, as will Clinton. It frightens me to see the young people going for them instead of Trump. They weren't around, I guess, to see that Reagan's amnesty brought us to all these illegals, and that there will never be an end to them unless they are stopped in no uncertain terms right now. At any rate, if they think there are a lot of work visas for the tech, etc. jobs now, just wait; more are coming and coming and coming. I wouldn't advise anyone to vote for any other Republican besides Trump, nor any Democrat. If they want to save their country, they need to get outside the box, and they need to vote for him in the primary to make sure he gets the election. Otherwise, America is over, and that's just sadly the way it is. Thank God Trump got into the race, because he is really the only hope that America and Americans have.

If you look at Sanders' record on issues, he's been ahead of the curve when other candidates took years, even decades to 'evolve'. He was right in the '60s about race relations, and right in the '70s about LGBT rights, and right about that whole Iraq war. It was popular to be wrong back then, it turns out.

Gimme the guy who's always known what's right.

If these young people don't like the fact that so many people from other countries are brought here on Visas to take jobs that Americans want, why on earth are they voting for Sanders? Sanders is going to legalize all the Visa holders, whether they are still here legally, or have stayed illegally after their Visas expired. The Democrats are also going to issue many more such Visas. Their votes are going to finish off America.

To 9:21: This isn't about hate. This is about survival. Anyone who can't see past the prejudice label that the illegals, mostly Hispanics/Mexicans and the Democrats put on the people who fight illegals to cover up the issue, isn't looking very far.

9:21: Trump plays on peoples fears? If you aren't afraid for America right now, you're not paying close enough attention.

If those young people want America back, they need to fight the illegals and the anchor baby insanity that is going on. Rome fell, and we're about to crash and burn ourselves. Instead of standing up and fighting for the very survival or their country, they are being liberal and what?...still saying the illegals are just nice people looking to better their lives, and if we are good people we will let them not only stay, but keep coming and coming? Very misguided; I hope there are enough old people to vote for Trump to save the young and old alike. So apparently the only people they are unhappy with are the ones who are taking their particular jobs? The legal Visa holders? Wake up kids; you're not seeing the whole picture, and the picture is even a whole lot scarier than you think.

To some of you who never take my advise. Look insult me all you want I'm not offended in the least. Now these millennials don't seem to impressed by a bunch of people who seem to have screwed up every institution in the last 30 years. REMEMBER;

More than one-in-three American workers today are Millennials (adults ages 18 to 34 in 2015) and this year they surpassed Generation X to become the largest share of the American workforce.
These are not just a bunch of hippie college kids. Yes and many have Hispanic friends. Just saying you might becoming obsolete?

4:06. Of course we'll become obsolete, but we are trying to make sure there is an America left for our children and grandchildren when we do. All these young people voting for Sanders are not looking at all the facts and, again, I hope there are enough old people to cancel out their votes.

The cult of personalities, has taken over reason. Polarizing candidates with promises that a president cannot perform unless lawless, is setting the stage for Fascism! The rule of law in general, and our constitution in particular, is being set aside! Our Nation cannot survive such chaotic lunacy! And it will not, unless we return to the idea that our rights come from God, and the government`s purpose is to protect those rights!

9:40 Can't agree more. What's driving some of these candidates is fear not reasoning.

I find it shocking that these Millennials are voting for Sanders when they are upset that their jobs are going to Visa-holders brought in to take their jobs. Obama is giving away this country with both hands as fast as he can to illegals. He even recently ordered thousands of illegals who were being held for committing crimes in this country and were waiting for deportation released. He had them released into the American population, along with the rest of the millions of unknowns that he has brought in to this country, let into this country, and let stay in this country. Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are falling all over themselves in their election bids, trying to prove that THEY are the one that is going to be most lenient on immigration, legalize all the illegals, and bring in the most new immigrants. I mean, are you kidding? Trump says he's going to get rid of the illegals, and close our borders. But they're still going to vote for Sanders? Makes no sense to me, and it worries me that so many young people, and some of these Millennials are in their THIRTIES, are they not, are thinking that Sanders is the right choice. Again, it leaves me in disbelief, and I find it shocking. It leaves me wondering where the disconnect is, and why is it not clicking. He gets up there like the Pied Piper, and everyone just follows him into a land that cannot exist? Who do they think is going to take care of all these illegals, most of whom will have large families and be on the take for generations to come? It's them, their children, and their grandchildren? If they think they and their America is in trouble now, just wait; it's worsening by the minute. Really, I don't get it.

4:06 Probably the same way draft-dodging Trump. With other peoples blood.
At least Sanders respects the service of John McCain?
8:20 Well these mill's have watched for 30 years and they don't get it!

9:12. That's right; the millennials have watched for 30 years and they obviously don't get it. If they vote Clinton or Sanders into office, they will get it soon enough. Unfortunately the rest of us will, too.
