Everybody's talking at me I don't hear a word they're saying
Everybody at the front table was presented with a copy of the Painesville Police Department Incident Report I mentioned in an earlier post. I assumed no one would take the time to get one for themselves. As I expected Councilman Fodor decided to carry the water for the school system. And as usual does a pretty good job of defending that ever it's is that's happening or not happening down on Jefferson St. Remember his explanation of the 50% policy?
I guess what I failed to mention that in my conversation with Superintendent Shepard he mentioned to me he was in agreement with me, that he also wanted an SRO officer at Heritage claiming we both wanted the same thing? The problem was the funding of the officer through the city, school system or a grant.
Our Police Chief stepped up and mentioned the incidents were all not calls for assistance, car violations, dog calls false alarm calls ect. When questioned by Councilman Flock about an incident relating to a weapon incident the chief explained that they received the call from the school an investigation resulted that no weapon was found on the school property but later located under this lads bed at grandma's house. Boy did that ease my mind!
As someone mentioned this bunch must have blinder's on. Do in their wildest dreams believe that people will buy homes in our city with all the problems we currently have here? Do any of you really believe the situation at our schools are have no bearing on the value of your property here in Painesville?
So I guess I will continue to monitor the situation and pray everyday the worse does not befall that school. If God-forbid it does I can't wait for the hand-ringing to start.
You want to defend the building be my guest, my only motive is to defend the students that have to receive an education there. I am amazed at the number of people defended that "building" don't have students there. Someone please tell the principal at Heritage we would like everything done to increase the value of our homes. She seems to not see a problem in her building? Looking back either did Kim Martin when she was at Harvey? Paul Hach mentioned his son attends school there. I hope it works out for him.
As far as the Police Chief my only question is if you have patrolmen generating this much paper work for one address maybe there time would be better spent on crimes in town?
On the day that the Pope will visit the United States it was reported a hedge fund manager bought rights to a drug raising the price of a pill from $13.50 to $750.00 and claims this drug produced since 1953 is still underpriced? Now Pope Francis that's American capitalism!

On March 13, 2015 the Chief held a press conference and told the Press and our Community that he had caught the individual that called in the series of bomb threats at Harvey High School. That's not true. Why should we believe anything this guy tells us?
heres some more for your mail bag, LOL. They removed the Masters degree requirement from the Rec Director job description and awarded it to Tony Carsons Secretary.
Painesville Improvement group that puts on Party in the Park, and pays for most of the easter egg hunt, Santa Claus, etc I heard that the President, treasurer, Social director and Party in the Park Director have all resigned.
My guess is we are going to see a lot of poorly done events this year.

I hate to think these people resigned over the reason you mentioned? I know of some on the PCIC that had issues with the former director?
Special - One can only imagine how the guys from that department that bid on that job feel right now. This is the second department head job Carson has dummied down for yet another secretary. And council allowed it? What's going on there? Can someone tell me why a secretary that did the books for the family landscape business qualifies to run this department? Over those with degrees and years of experience? She did landscaping bookkeeping then when the family member passed away, folded the company. Is this a qualified person to run an entire city department?
Now I'm curious, did the PPD catch the person who called in the bomb threats? If so is he/she incarcerated?
I'd take Deangelis over Mcwreath any day. She always stood up and by her employees. She will sit you down and listen to what you have to say, right or wrong but she still hears you out. The other, likes to raise his voice to to intimidate people. He is rude and unapproachable. Just saying.

PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- Investigators connected a 17-year-old Painesville Township boy to a series of bomb and shooting threats that had Painesville City Local Schools on edge for a week.
The teen is also thought to be behind a bomb threat that evacuated Strongsville High School in February, Painesville Police Chief Anthony Powalie said at a Friday news conference. He's been linked to additional threatening calls to non-school buildings in Canada and on the East coast
The suspect is not a student at Harvey High School -- where the first threat was directed. He is not in police custody and no formal charges have been filed in juvenile court. Police are investigating whether he was working alone.
Powalie shed light on the details of the week's worth of threats, which were largely kept under wraps during the investigation.
What had become of this?
The Chief mislead the Press and the Community. Check out the PPD Facebook page. He claims to have caught the person responsible. That's not true! Why should we believe this man? He's in over his head.

Did anyone face a Judge?
Was anyone found guilty?
Did anyone get sentenced?
There was a "person of interest"[a juvenile]. No one was caught. No one faced a judge. No one was found guilty. No one was sentenced. Now, go to the PPD facebook page March 13, 2015. Maybe the Chief didn't lie, he just didn't tell the truth!

I guess a lot of us were fooled?
