"THANKGIVING 2014"

It is with the most sincerity that this Thursday everyone has something to be thankful for. A new romance, a new job, good health. The list goes on. My prayers to those that have lost a love one this year or received bad news such as a child learning his parents are divorcing.

Keep as positive as you can a loved one no longer suffers with pain, two people who can move forward.

I guess I'm trying to say is be thankful what you have and spend little time wishing what you do not have. A person told me once if you are thankful you will receive more things to be thankful for.

Remember you hit Gods Lottery just by being born in this wonderful country.

Happy Thanksgiving TERM>>

I lost a close relative this past summer and it makes for a tough year. However, he isn't in pain anymore so that is good.
I am thankful that I have been blessed with good health. As I get older I realize how very important that really is.

Who do I thank for screwing up my morning commute on Mentor Ave. so of us do work and have little patience for people running down the street.
Who paid for the extra police today/ Holiday pay.
This place is getting ridiculous minute by minute.
Want to race around and not bother anyone? Race downtown no reasonable person goes there.

One might ask where you need to be in such a hurry on a snowy holiday morning? Slow down and enjoy the day.

9:47 maybe 8:51 was on his way to work? To not receive food stamps and not live on the government dole? I also saw no reason for the location of this race. Sorry.

Term,
No one implied that he/she was receiving any assistance. Don't even think of trying that path.
OTOH, is that the ONLY way to work?
Where would his/her complaint be if the delay had been for an accident? Would they complain then?
The whole world doesn't revolve around any one of us.
Again, enjoy the day and try to be thankful for what you have.

6:15 I don't know if he was on his way to work or to buy a lottery ticket. It just seems odd you shut the major road through Painesville down on a holiday. And who did paid for the police?

I do not think the location of the race is a problem, gives others a chance to see the some of the beauty of this city while running. Jackson Street and Route 84 were open so no one should have been very delayed. Cleveland, Chicago, New York, Boston and most major cities are able to shut down their major roads for half a day in order to host marathons which surely "inconviences" their residents and workers. They do it and everuone survives.

7:22 this wasn't the Macys Thanksgiving Parade.
Did we miss the notification of this race. Plus Painesville flush with cash to pay people OT for working on this holiday.. Inconveniences on a holiday many would like to avoid. As someone mentioned run around downtown no ones there.
How exactly this this enhance our city?

Wow, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed!
Your blog was about being thankful and instead you went crabby on us!

6:18 Maybe some of us were just Thankful looking forward to an unobstructed Holiday?
As usual other peoples time means nothing to some. Was there a good cause involved? Seems no one is taking credit for this.

Me? I just wondered who and how this was paid for?

The YMCA's Annual Turkey Run was on Thanksgiving. It's been run for 5-6 years. the YMCA pays the officers and the notice of road closure was in the NH. It last about 45 minutes.

Painesville is rollin in the dough. Look around, cant you see all the fluff improvements? Money spent on ridiculous things? Who allows this to happen and when the dust settles, who is going to be stuck with the bill? Maybe council should keep an eye on whats being spent, lower the minimum of "don't need approval" to 1.00.
