"NOTHING FROM NOTHING " billy preston

Leaves nothing.

Pretty much spells out Monday nights council meeting.

I am confused over this $35.00 fine  for alarms. If your alarm goes off and you aren't registered do you get fined? OR after the fourth false alarm you are fined $35.00? Please ask your councilperson.

I brought up written  questions about Painesville Electric Power  that I would like answered  at the next meeting..

1)  how much is in our electric fund reserve?

2) Galion who purchased exactly the same amount of power from PSEC as Painesville purchased. Why at the end of September were they claiming $1,020,000  in "Levelization" costs. What exactly is Painesville's?

3) Since its been almost two years since we paid AMP-OHIO $2,100,000 for costs incurred with Meigs County Painesville was told to expect some money back. Well?

4)What is the general plan for our Power Plant for the next five/ten years?

Also I gave the clerk of council the letter Batavia, Ill. sent to there attorney general. The reason being next Monday the council will have a work session about PSEC.

I thought council meeting was cancelled due to the expected bad weather. Was the budget passed?

That's a great question to bring up at the council meeting. The alarm ordinance and its implimentation is confusing.

Dear Lord I drove through the shopping madness last night and gutted my muffler on the speed bumps…… Holiday shopping in Beirut?

There were a few people out…… bless them I just couldn't do it.

6:01 Not to my knowledge. Council-President as well as our law director were excused.
6:08 They lost me early in the conversation.
9:05 Sorry didn't attend watched FOX8 this morning and they did a story about it. Now to those who were there it would be a great time for some of you to express what you thought of last night?
God knows they try.

I was there last night and thought the businesses put a good deal of effort into the event as usual. Unfortunately the weather was rough, those poor businesses on main street having endured what they have this past 6 months can't even get nature to give them one good night.

The only council person I saw downtown Tuesday night was Paul Hach. Where were all the other council people?

11:34 What some here call Karma?

11:37 Maybe six with some common sense? or no need for hair products, donuts or tools?

Councilman Flock made an attempt but his car bottomed out on Main St. Nice BUMP signs every twenty feet.

What Flock didn't know conditions of HIS roads. Why would he need to be driving on Main Street during the event. Sounds like another cop out. I have heard repeatedly he does not support city businesses.

I was at Joughins Hardware, and it was really nice...sweet, actually. They had an artist doing drawings of people, and there was a long line waiting anxiously for their turn. Then the Christmas carolers came in and sang for everyone. There was even a friendly female police officer there -- it looked like something from a wonderful Christmas made-for-TV movie. I've always loved how Joughins has kept their store in its original shape, and I love, love, love the old wooden floors, so the ambience of the store added beautifully to the atmosphere of all the people and everything that was going on. There was also some wonderful person going from business to business in a white costume. I was in a hurry, and I failed to take note of what the costume was, although I wish I had. Maybe it was a snowman or a bunny. Does someone know who that was that did that wonderful thing, and what the costume was? In spite of the weather, I saw quite a few people wandering about. I thought it was very nice, and I wasn't even there for the festivities; I just came for a bit of quick shopping.

1:17 Joughin's is always a treat.

1:46 Lets make this about Flock?

Although he was the only one who voted against this Steetscape fiasco. Enjoy your investment Painesville.

Since they stupidly destroyed parking trying to help the businesses, which makes no sense to me, why don't they use the outskirts of the center of the square green area, the park, to make up for the lost parking. We could probably survive losing some of that space, no?

The costume character was a dog courtesy of Mary Anne Hurley's State Farm office(not sure who was in the suit though).

11:00 Never made sense to me either, more businesses seems to suggest more needed parking spaces.
Not a big fan about parking around the square. Maybe at election time, or during Christmas season?

Snowman, bunny but a dog.

Term,
I am with you.
I really don't like the City allowing parking around the inside of the park downtown. Instead the parking should be behind the courthouse.

Council should tell you where to stick your letter and questions, Who do you think you are. We elect people to do their jobs not to answer questions posed by the likes of you.

Just guessing that you sit on Council?
After all, why should Council answer questions fro the voters?

@4:03 Who do you think you are telling another citizen of Painesville what questions or comments they may or may not ask? No one should be controlled by the likes of you! I happen to like Terms letters and questions. We don`t have speech police in the USA, yet.

They're already parking around the square...parallel parking, so what's the difference?...about another six feet into the park, and you could have a bunch of normal parking spaces in front of the businesses. I, for one, am not going to go to a business that I have to park away from it and walk any distance. It's just not going to happen. And are people who don't live here going to know where the parking is? I don't even, really. These dummies just took parking away from a place that didn't have enough anyway, let alone if we get more businesses and more customers. There used to be normal parking there anyway, right?

On another note, State Farm just messed me up very badly when one of their policy holders hurt me permanently in a car accident. But having said that, and knowing how I feel about State Farm now, I still have to say hats off to Mary Anne Hurley's State Farm office for the dog. And thanks to whomever was in the dog. It was cute and sweet, and I loved it. It really added to the ambiance.
