"I FOUGHT THE LAW" bobby fuller four

Many people remember a time of Andy of Mayberry and his sidekick Barney Fyfe.
Those days are gone.

Why anyone would want to be a policeman in todays world is beyond me.

Recently the Grand Jury came down with a decision that the officer was innocent on the charges of  the killing of 18 year old  Michael Brown. I for one wished there would have been a trial only because this decision will fester in that Ferguson town for a long time.

Depending on which cable channel you listened to the officer should have been vindicated from the beginning to the officer should be charged with murder. Please someone take Chris Hayes, Al Sharpton and Sean Hannity off the air until the first of the year. They bring no solutions to the table and seems their goal is to put salt on an open wound.

As far as the Ferguson case with just about everyone having a phone that can video didn't anyone think to film the episode? A policeman tells you to walk on the sidewalk and you yell obscenities  at him? You reach inside a police car and struggle with the officers for his gun? Do you charge at him hands up or down why not just sit down if you have already been shot? How could so many witnesses see the same situation so differently? On another note don't give me this Hulk Hogan analogy either. Or he had a Demon look. and do not call this victim a child.

Michael Browns parents were interviewed about their son. His mother suggested we should not judge her son because of an 18 second clip from a convenience store camera.
Well let's get officer Wilson's parents time to describe their son. So we also can judge him.

A 12year-old child Tamir Rice was shot by a police officer in Cleveland over the last weekend and all I have heard is that it  seems is the community doesn't trust the police? Why should the police trust the community. This tragedy could have been avoided. First where or who gave this young boy this realistic looking gun along with the orange tip taken off? Had anyone ever explained to him what to do if stopped by a police officer? Most of us were taught to respect authority. Does anyone believe that police officer should never be on the street again only because in situations like this he would probably wait to long before he pulled his weapon out for fear of shooting another  innocent victim ? I can't think of a more tragic shooting.

Gun manufacturers are making real guns that look like toy guns, Odd toy shapes and neon colors even pink handguns, where's the NRA on this? The bad guys are painting the tips of real guns orange just to add to the confusion?

And you want to be a police officer?

In Cleveland over the weekend there were  Eight deaths by guns. This  "child' plus two men shot execution style and a family of seven  where five died in a shooting on E 92th  with presently no motive or witnesses. Where's Al, Chris and Sean?  I guess those shooting aren't sensational enough for coverage? Know why?  Those shootings happen everyday in America.

The Milwaukee Police Chief was criticized be community members for  looking at his cell phone during a meeting . He went ballistic.Well it seems the chief was getting an update of a five-year old girl shot in her grandfathers lap as he read her a book by a drive by shooting. This would only be a worthy story if the police had been the drive by shooters.

To my African-American neighbors and friends if you feel an injustice has been committed don't burn your neighborhood and it's businesses down. The real racist's love you doing this and where will you shop tomorrow? Plus address the real problem of Black on Black crime.

The solution? It starts in the home, parents and grandparents  relatives must inform and be on the front line to protect their families and neighborhoods. Don't want to be a snitch? Then deal with what's coming to your neighborhood in the near future.

To the police use as much discretion as you possibly can. Keep the heavy artillery away until it is absolutely needed. Quit pointing guns at demonstrators. Demonstrators must control those in there ranks that want to cause problems. Get out of the car and meet some people. The police work in Ferguson looked sloppy, and you don't leave a dead body in the street for hours you also don't wait four minutes before you provide CPR to a 12 year old shooting victim.

You can also believe the officer  in Cleveland who shot that young man is in his living his own Hell.

To the news stations and reporters quit making excuses for everybody.

"To Protect and Serve".... and make it home in one piece tonight. Thank you for your service.

This morning I read some of the dialog spewed by a participant staging flash demonstrations in Missouri Wall-Marts, Target Stores etc.

Chenjerai Kumanyika an assistant professor at Clemson University said; "Capitalism is one of many systems of oppression," as the group cleared out of the parking lot.

To me this rang like a bell. Rewind 45 years and you had college profs and the like agitating our citizenry on behalf of the North Vietnamese communist government.

I have read of groups attempting to co-op this current situation also. (Unsuccessfully so far)

I do feel bad for the majority of Black folks who want nothing of this. The race industry actually hurts them by causing the White community to distrust Black folks more.

It makes me wonder if the Race industry expects to create a separate standard of law enforcement just for them. I feel that true equality can only happen when we all live by the same laws.

Some Muslim communities want a separate system just for them called Sharia law. right.....

Both good comments but what do you say to a police officer who tells a mother "I didn't know he was your son?"

Or following a vehicle driven by an African-American who got pulled over in heavy traffic for even after slowing down and not being able to get into the left lane gets a ticket? One ticket and at least 50 vehicles doing the same thing?
I guess you just have to walk in other peoples shoes?
We could easily avoid all this.

When you are looking for prejudice, everything will look like prejudice. A few years back, I cut a light too short, but as I checked my rearview mirror to make sure I could make a quick stop for a light that was changing too quickly to be safe, there was someone right on my tail. I quickly looked both ways to make sure oncoming traffic was still stopped and proceeded through the yellow light that turned red when I was under it. The police officer that was sitting in the cross street and saw what happened, proceeded to weave in and out of traffic. He avoided the person who came through the light after me and, in fact, was the reason I kept going, and was looking for me. When I realized this, I got in the right lane and waited. Sure enough, I was the one pulled over. Now if I had been the black person behind me (I am white), I could have been screaming prejudice. The point is, they have to single out one person, and it probably wasn't because they were black. I don't know why the officer didn't go after the person who was behind me. But that stupid story about how the guy got pulled over because he was black and the rest of whiteys got away will probably be all over the news for the next ten years. And maybe someone should talk to my son who wears his hair long about how many times he gets pulled over for "driving with long hair." As far as Ferguson goes, and all their complaints about how many blacks are pulled over as compared to whites, well the population of Ferguson IS PREDOMINENTLY BLACK, SO THAT MEANS BY PERCENTAGE, MORE BLACKS WILL BE PULLED OVER. They are complaining that there aren't enough black police officers in Ferguson, but the blacks there don't want to be police officers. Blacks need to shut up and take care of their own business now, and whites need to stop letting them get away with doing anything less. They are so lost in prejudice against the whites, they are ruining themselves and this country. For beginners, they can teach their children to quit vandalizing the schools, and sit down and learn. They can also teach them respect for the police who have a hard, crappy job, and put themselves in the line of fire every day to do it. I can't believe they get ANYONE to be a police officer in Ferguson, and they ought to be damn grateful for the ones who will do the job. We have seen now what those officers put up with every day by people who are taught to disrespect and hate the police from cradle to grave. And poor officer Wilson has now resigned his position. And he had to shoot to death some out-of-control criminal; I'm sure he didn't have that in his plans for his day. Who's feeling sorry for him?

7:10 Nothing beats our capitalist system. But as a wise person once told me "capitalism has no conscience". If it did there would be no reason for rules or regulations.

One good thing about this whole thing (per se, as it is not a good thing someone is dead and someone had to kill him), is that now white people are seeing just what black people think. White people have thought all along that as long as they, themselves, were not prejudiced, and if they could ignore the ghettos that black people make and the crime rate, etc., that everything was fine. Now they are seeing that the problem with prejudice belongs with the black people, and even the most prominent black person that has accomplished much in America and done very well for themselves, thinks that they and their race suffers greatly under the whatever of the white people. They all think they are justified in their prejudice, although they do not think it is prejudice if they are the ones that are doing it, because they are entitled to hate and resent their supposed oppressors - right up to ruining their own lives and the lives of their children and all their future generations to do it. Now we see that even the President of the United States of America is so prejudiced against white people that he cannot see the truth in any situation that involves a white and a black. He sees only prejudice of the black by the white, no matter what the facts are. And, he doesn't care what the facts are, because it was just white prejudice. Period. Even black football teams are carrying on the false fact that Wilson killed the guy in error. I think black people think they will now have white sympathy; I think white people are going to wake up to just how much black people resent and hate us - even the ones you would least expect - and I think white people are going to realize it has nothing to do with us anymore, except for the fact that we are so prejudiced against. It's them. Hopefully all white people will look at the black race with a new eye now, and a new understanding that we cannot do anything for them. I am personally sickened by these protests all across America. I think it is all B.S. - all very dangerous and costly (to the cities, states and country) B.S. They still think if they scream prejudice long enough and loud enough we are not going to notice that the reason they live in ghettos is because they make them. And the reason their children are not educated is because they and their parents didn't want them to be. And they think it's okay to destroy businesses and protest in front of businesses to hurt them. I think anyone who still thinks they are not getting a fair shake in America, should just leave America, including everyone on that football team who has their stupid hands up. The hands up thing was a LIE. Obviously they don't belong here and will never be happy here, so perhaps they should just go.

There is one victim in the Tamir Rice shooting we have all overlooked. Someone from that neighborhood took the courage to call 911. They explained in detail that a young boy was waving a gun and that the gun may be a toy. They asked for Police assistance. Unfortunately, all the details didn't reach the responding officers and they made a split second decision. I feel bad for the citizen who made the initial call to the dispatcher. Will that person ever make another 911 call? What will that person tell/teach their friends, neighbors and children? I hope we learn something from this terrible situation. I suspect that the dispatcher and the 911 caller are also "living in their own hell".

6:25 I wonder if dispatchers should even tell officers responding to the incident it looks fake? That kind of information could lead to an officer getting shot. I wonder if there's a protocol for this?
How bad would the person feel if they didn't make the call and four children would have been shot and killed. They did the proper thing.
7:52 I don't think this is your first comment on this subject? That said you seem to carry the same prejudices you claim Blacks have against Whites. You seem to have against Blacks?
Are there racist Blacks? Sure. Are there racist Whites? Sure. When will the time come that we stop putting people into boxes?

It seems to me Black on Black deaths far exceed police deaths.

Look the right to demonstrate is a right given to all Americans. Not just to things YOU feel should be demonstrated against. The football team had an audience and used it.
That said, The Michael Brown incident may not be the best example people should have used. The shooting of two Black people in Cleveland last year in a police chase might make a better point. What 134 rounds and no weapons found on the suspects, why did they run? Maybe they knew something we take for granted.
Please in the future try to look at everyone as an individual it makes for a better world Black or White.
Again your simple solution maybe they should leave? No ones going anywhere.

Obama says police need to be better trained? How about the parents of these young folks? So tired of hearing these kids did nothing wrong. I'm on the fence after seeing the video from Cleveland, that was very fast. But Ferguson - the kid robbed, ignored requests from the pd, arrogant and went after the cop. Follow authority orders and all this may have been avoided. Hands Up Don't shoot. Put your hands up, we wont shoot, don't put them up we may have to.
Oh, and parents where are you? Most turn the kid loose and when something bad happens there needs to be blame? Look in the mirror.

Painesville will be facing these same situations at some point in the next couple years. There is a small group of "kids" coming up through the middle school right now who have been raised to also not respect authority.

I have also first hand personally seen the way our police force handles these "kids". One threatened an adult with "I'll kick your white ass" and the cop told the adult to quit causing issues and walked the kid away with his arm around his shoulders? The kid should have had his parents called at least.

That type of behavior is in our city already and the community black leaders are not speaking out against it, which means it will escalate, just takes time.

12:28, I keep asking myself that same question. And whatever happened to compliance? If you're told to stop, STOP.
And can we ask where are the parents to the four black youths wielding socks loaded with rocks who beat a bus driver to a pulp? A woman, with a job and kids? When are the parents held accountable? These kids do not get like this overnight. And if not parents how about the community leaders who are now rioting and burning down viable businesses? It's about the community you live it and are you Mentoring a young person?

12:28 Lets face it there is no compliance. What were the motives of those four black youths? Robbery? %Ride on the bus. senseless. Why would you want to be a cop? Why would you want to be a bus driver.

I hear all to often that "well he attends church regularly" That makes him a good kid?

9:01 I understand your point. Many of us have family members that have violent crimes committed against them, including myself. Does that mean I judge a whole race of people negatively?

Maybe even I would resist being handcuffed for selling cigarettes one at a time? In New York City you are issued a citation for smoking weed on the street, and handcuffed and arrested for selling cigarettes one at a time?
This victim death is now being blamed on everything. What's next cholesterol? The coroner statement claims he died of a collapsed chest.
Look I just don't understand why we can't have trials? Until we do where everything is brought out in the open these conversations will continue.
Black people carry the thought that a prosecutor can indict a Ham Sandwich but not a police officer?
All any of us should want the truth. But only if the truth fits the narrative?

The grand jury is charged with determining if there is just cause to bring charges. The accused is given minimal rights or ability to defend himself is largely the prosecutors show before the Grand Jury. That's our system and it has served us for over 200 years. We have a growing population of people that do not understand the Constitution and have an extreme disrespect for the law and society.

How would you feel if a grand jury decided there just wasn't enough evidence?
Now before you claim there is no comparison I will agree but a public trial might clear the air.

At December 5, 2014 at 5:08 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

It is against the law to have a public trial where none is warranted. You do not have a trial to make black people happy. You have a trial if it looks like a crime may have been committed. It did not look like a crime was committed and, therefore, no trial. Now you have black people all across America standing up to, and facing down police even more than they already were. Like the black woman with her child and a black man in the car. She was pulled over by police in broad daylight. She refuses to roll down her window, because she says she feared for her life. She calls 911 instead of rolling down her window. The police break the window on the passenger side when the passenger refuses to roll down his window. The people in the car have the whole thing on tape to try to nail the police. The black people already thought they were above every law before all this happened. Now that they are getting world recognition for being the poor, discriminated-against black folk in America, it is only escalating, putting the police lives even more in danger from them. Sorry, black people cannot get any more special treatment than they already get. I am disgusted as I listen to the news outlets that are so afraid of being called prejudiced that they didn't even mention that that poor white guy was killed by racist blacks just because he was white and they wanted to kill a white. But we've heard millions of times by now that AN UNARMED BLACK KID WAS GUNNED DOWN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. That grand jury in Ferguson was in place long before that shooting. Nothing was rigged. It was a legitimate kill that saved that officer's life, which is now ruined because of the black people. And where is the black woman who said that he had his hands up and said not to shoot. Everyone knew that was a lie. Well, now it's been proven, but it has started all of this. Where the hell is that woman, and why is she not in jail waiting to go to prison?

At December 5, 2014 at 6:14 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Technically the grand jury didn't decide there wasn't enough evidence, did they? I believe they decided there was plenty of evidence, and the evidence showed that it was a justified shooting/killing. They had evidence in the car, on the car, on the officer, on Brown, seven black witnesses that upheld the officer's testimony, etc. The officer even testified, which he did not have to. The case was thoroughly looked at in every way possible -- for months, and was ruled a justified shooting. You can't tell the blacks that, though, because they won't listen, and are speaking to worldwide audiences telling them his hands were up in surrender, and he was shot anyway.

At December 6, 2014 at 9:19 AM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

5:08 Proven to you but not most in Ferguson.
How often does the accused testify in front of a grand jury?
I will admit Michael Brown was not the best example to use. I believe he was a thug and attacked the officer. Would have been nice to see all the testimony in a trial.

Now the Eric Garner incident in NYC something's wrong with that whole episode. A trial is warranted. All this over a cigarette? Sorry it appeared to me to be police over kill.

Travon Martin what exactly was his crime? Going to the store buying skittles and being stalked by a person with a gun who police had told to stay in his car. Zimmerman stalked the person brought the gun and is innocent? Please I was born at night but not last night.

A 12 year-old shot by police. Who did the background check on this officer. Couldn't make NYCPD had to leave a suburban PD over a gun issue? And now we have this.

Yes, even a ham sandwich can be justified I guess?

Look none of this will go away until it's all laid bare for all to see. Maybe then we will see progress.

At December 6, 2014 at 6:16 PM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

4:33 Yes he does. This was a racially charged incident. you seem to believe Travon was murdered? Now hoe did the justice system look to the typical Black person with that verdict?
It just appears that many Black believe they don't receive fair justice.
That said if the shooting victim had been White the results of the grand jury would be the same.
5:13 I think it's also important that we only put highly qualified police officers on the street. This one not so sure.

Trayvon Martin's murderer got set free in a court of law, just like the murderers of many whites do. Our system is not perfect, and Zimmerman and his lawyer presented a good case, apparently. Zimmerman had many injuries, which made it look like he was attacked by Trayvon. Whether Zimmerman did those himself, or he got them because Trayvon knew he had to fight for his life and did, does not in my mind sway my opinion of what happened. I also don't think the jury had the correct instructions or were just confused by the instructions and/or Zimmerman's lawyer just presented a good enough case to confuse the jurors, which is what lawyers unfortunately do. A lot of times what happens in court rooms has nothing to do with justice. Nothing, and this is a good example of that, but it had nothing to do with the fact that Zimmerman was white, because he was white/Hispanic. Trayvon was prejudiced, too, calling Zimmerman a Cracker to the friend he was talking to on the phone. His friend didn't even think that was a racist remark, because they were so used to saying it. Remember, in the black community, it is only whites who are prejudiced, and blacks do not recognize their own prejudice and/or they think they are justified. But my main point is, the murderers of whites are set free all the time, and since many, many more whites are killed by blacks than blacks killed by whites, I would imagine a lot more white deaths go unpunished than blacks. Except for the black on black crime. What happened in that court room was nothing unusual, unfortunately, and I don't believe it had anything to do with white prejudice. Remember, Zimmerman is not white, per se. And the guy in New York was committing a crime and the store owners wanted him out. It had nothing to do with him being black. And the guy in Ferguson stole from a store, roughed up the shopkeeper, refused orders of the police, and attacked a policeman. Nothing to do with race, either. It was of his own making, and the cop did not go looking for him to be in the middle of the street.

Enough of the bleeding heart for the blacks. None of this has anything to do with prejudice except for how prejudiced they are against whites. White people need to march, too. They are calling us all racists, and they are lying. They are making our whole country look bad, when it is all their own making.
