'COUNCIL MEETING 08/18/14

Well it's August not much to do about much to do.

Ordinance Amending Chapter 1373 I guess their going to kill it?

Demolition of two unsafe Painesville houses.

Reaffirming Participation in Lake County CDBG  (great more money for Main St.)

Resolution Establishing Your Vine or Mine's Apple Riesling as The official Whine of Painesville.

I see a pattern here.

Well I guess if you can make it out of dandelion's you can make it out of apples? First off if it ain't got a grape in it  it's not a wine to me. (just my own thought) Last month it was bread this month it's wine. Next month maybe an official clergy so with the bread & wine we can have Communion!

How about the official asphalt of Painesville? I know many official chuckholes.

32 workers at the Electric Plant without work, Supervisor  retires and the next day we hire him back?
I'm going to love this explanation.  If he was needed hire him back as a consultant.

Nero fiddles while Rome burns?

I watched the Council Meeting on Line and there was no mention of An Electric Supervisor double dipping. Is it a secret? or just a rumor? City employee.

OMG There isn't one supervisor that is double dipping but three electric supervisors are double dippin!!! When you add up their city salary, their state retirement salary and their benefit package the money they receive (for all 3) approaches a million dollars a year. Gimme a break.

1157. That's 333,333.33 there is no way they can make that much. At the very most their wages would be around 60,000 & retirement would be around 47,000. That adds up to. Around 110,000 that means the city is paying 223,333.33 for benefits. Your nuts. They are not getting vacation time. Or medical , sick leave . This you can check on at city hall. Before you post stupid figures like you post. Do a little checking before posting Term checks his facts you should too

Ok one post says a million another says $330,000.00 plus city, state and pension benefits. I'm sure the truth lies somewhere in between. City Council votes for [or against] wages for hourly workers but Supervision pay and benefits are always a mystery. Maybe I'm bias, but I'm not a fan of Double Dipping.

6:51 this is an impossible fact to check you know what the city is paying them but you have no idea what they collect in pension.
1:08 I to am not a fan of double dipping, except in the case of elected officials first their opponent can bring the issue up and voter's can decide. With department heads no one even has to know (the general public) all is done in executive session.
Now if they come back at a lower rate of pay, aren't they making a point they were over paid? If you retire RETIRE! move on for another person to have a job. It's one big scam.

RU speaking of Mr McHugh? I thought he came from another city, retired from there and began in PVille. Therefore, he isn't double dipping in Painesville, just double dipping in general as many do.

What is the purpose or the reason for an official wine of Painesville?

"In general", I'm not a bid fan of double dipping.

Unless of course it will benefit the person wanting to. Bet most would if given the chance.

Last April, the Electric Superintendent stood before Council and said it was very important that the boilers at the Plant pass a 'series of tests' this Summer. If we fail it could cost the City $4,000,000.00! If the boilers pass, the double dippers earn the deal they got. If the boilers fail, well Anthony Carson has shown us he's not afraid of to clean house.

April 21, 2014 Council Meeting - "Mr. Flock clarified we are not generating any money, we are just saving money. Mr. McHugh stated he was correct, because then we do not charge residents. If we miss [the peak shaving tests], we won't receive the full $4,505,760.00 in saving."
