"UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL" brotherhood of man

Well what's it been 15 years since the city stole, I mean annexed the land from the Township?

Good news we have finally unified the City of Painesville.  No more getting on Route 2 to answer an emergency or police call  at Cobblestone.

Many dignitaries attend including former council people but then according to facebook some felt shunned by not being invited. If you wanted to be there just show up. You needed an invitation?
I wonder if the bridge would have to close would anyone have shown-up? Where was the picture of the city delegation when CORE left town?

As I drove the bridge for the first time I wondered how much salt would be used to keep this stretch of road safe? Out in the open and quite a high degree to the slope. Can anyone explain the round-about

REMEMBER THE SPEED LIMIT ON SHAMROCK BLVD. IS 25 MPH.

Well now Painesville residents will be able to shop at Sam's Club, Home Depot, eat at Brown Derby, Ruby Tuesday's, Steak & Shake plus numerous other businesses. All of the above mentioned paying  Mentor real estate and income taxes. Remember Shop Downtown Painesville!

That's the nicest road in Painesville!

I was surprised that there are no sidewalks. Must be following Mentor's lead, as in build it half-you know what now and spend more money to fix it later.

Well have you noticed all the street paving being done since the first of July?
Yes I know the city is doing Walnut St. As a Segway into this, the last couple of days someone had changed the signs around and a vehicle or two has fallen into one of the holes (sp). Use caution.

What's to explain? It's a roundabout. Haven't you ever seen one? They are all over Europe, USA and heck, even Beachwood (area) and LeRoy has one. Not that complicated.

I called the Lake County Fair Office and asked if the Fair Parade was still coming down Walnut Street. They told me they didn't know yet and to check their facebook for the latest details. I wouldn't think the City would want Fire Engines and large Tow trucks on new concrete. I hope there is a Plan B.

11:36 Well move to Europe, Beachwood, or Leroy. I've been dying to say that! Honestly presently I see no use for it maybe sometime in the future? Thanks for complicating it for me.

11:40 Good question let's all hope the job is done by the 18th. Can anyone say overtime?
Fire Engines? Seems our old (new) tower truck has been MIA for over a month? TOWER 2319 where are you?

I don't care to move just noted so there is no reason for you to be a jerk about it, simply said roundabouts aren't new and lots of places have them. Guess Painesville can't win with you. You complain when nothing is done now they do something progressive and you still gripe.

After they built the new High School, the starting point of the Fair Parade was moved to the new school. I know because I sat on Walnut Street and watched it go buy. The 2014 Parade was a success and the Fair Board told me they plan to return to the new Harvey next year.
