Please do not let Number Two lead our district. She has been the demise of our middle school and does not support teachers at all. Please do not hire from within.

Everyone should be very worried with the failure of this levy. All of us that knew PCLS as a great place to raise children will not recognize the place if the levy fails!I am very concerned!

The PHD was assistant before the top position. He refused to move to Painesville or let his child attend Painesville City Local Schools. No good housing in Painesville! I think that we should require the person that wants to lead our schools to move to Painesville and put their family in our schools. Then they can be hired for the position! None of the top people have any ties to Painesville. We need a total change! There needs to be a community team that is part of the hiring of the new leadership.

I think someone needs to look into the legalities of demanding this person to live in the city. Not that I don't agree, but several years ago when police and fire were required to do this (not here, elsewhere) it was deemed unconstitutional. Not sure but I think if it works that way for one it'd be the same for others too.

This is a BOE or CC item. It might just be a good idea to inform candidates that these city officals MUST live in the city. That next you can run for council or school board and not be reqired to live here?

What I am trying to say it may be unconstitutional to require that. You should look into the legalities before you open your mouth and spout off your ideas.
If it can't be done because of legal reasons, why make a point of trying to enforce something that can't even be enforced? You make no.

5:07 Take the time to read the city charter, please.
In the end it's our money and we still control who we hire.
