"YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE" debbie boone

I am planning on attending the Ohio Citizen Action Meeting scheduled for this Wednesday September 19,2012 at Galion High School.

Speakers present will explain the "Promises vs the Reality'" How and why we got into "take or pay" deals. Along with what this will all cost Painesville Electric consumers as well as other municipal electric customer's for at least the next twenty or more years.

To Councilman DeLeone we"re both wrong. Over the past few days I have found out the 1.9 million dollar number is not the one presently announced by AMP-OHIO neither is 2.7 million I guess we will just have to wait until the final bill is submitted. Ask your City Manager she must have seen the same figures I did.

AMP-OHIO is engaged in a lawsuit against Bechtel Corporation claiming 97 million dollars in damages over Meigs County AMPGS. Claiming Bechtel failed to withdraw correct or amend it's price projection's. They did this Willfully, wanton, reckless, grossly negligent misconduct. Have Mike explain this to you it's all lawyer speak.

Why bring this all up to you now?

Well I'll give you three guess who built the Prairie State Energy Campus?  To easy? Yes your right Bechtel was the main contractor to this project that when it first was proposed in 2004 an estimate of 1.8 billion was the projected cost of the project. AMP-OHIO dragged us I mean invited us Painesville into this project in 2008 by 2010 cost overruns had grown to 4.9 Billion dollars. Was AMP-OHIO blind? Buchtel Prairie State came in at 3.1 Billion over budget.

What would possess AMP-OHIO to believe that the costs overruns at Prairie State wouldn't be repeated at Meigs County f?
Did AMP-OHIO inform Painesville as well as other communities about the cost overruns at Prairie State?  Maybe Painesville as well as other communities should take legal action against AMP-OHIO over failing to  inform us of failing to withdraw, correct, or amend it's price and cost to us?

Really where and who is responsible for the misconduct in these stupid electric agreements?

was at the utility office about a week ago to start service at a property I just bought and there was a lady there complaining and questioning why her bill was alot higher than normal, their response was you must have used more and she claimed she hadn't and they wouldn't really let her question it further, a few days later I got my bill and it was double the usual amount, I guess from now on I'm going to have to read my meter every month because I suspect they did this to alot of people to make money for their amp payment

7:20 according to certain council members basic electric service costs has not increased since 1991.
I guess they just can't say that on the "total" cost?

To Galion fairly simple ...

71 South to US 30 west .. follow US 30 west through Mansfield and exit at state route 598 ( Portland Way ) ... turn left at the exit and head south about 2 miles. All the city schools are located in one complex on your right. There will be a sports bar on your left ( VARSITY GRILLE )

Do not speed or violate any traffic laws .. it's a revenue source in Galion and they do not issue warnings to anyone.

Bowling Green is coming, we bought triple the power of what Painesville did. Same story in BG. City council ignore our questions while rates continue to rise. The Univesity is very concerned, this could double the electric costs to the University and they can not get an answer. Students are worried, business owners are concerned as it appears this wil be like a giant Dyson vacuum cleaner just sucking away local money to give to AMP.

Thank you 7:20 for talking about the unreasonable electric bills and also the unreasonable utility workers. It has been my experience that they can charge you all they want, and then you can question it all you want, but you won't get anywhere. If you really complain, they'll send someone out to read your meter again, but it won't matter; nothing will change, and they knew that before they got there.

Now that McMahon is finally leaving her position as city manager, maybe we have a chance to clean house in this city. Any city worker with the kind of attitude that has been described here needs to go. Unreasonable electric bills without resolve need to end, and anyone who has any part in it needs to go.

Anyone else have problems with this?

For some reason those workers you speak of might just mirror there responses that their boss provides? Where you going to go? Yes you could move.[former residents, hospital]
My last two visits to the utility office has been pleasent. Although there was a time I believe someone was making brownie points.
The CM controls the price you pay for electricity. She answers to noone.

Term 12:06: Yes, that is what I think happens to me. I think the employees make "brownie points" by mistreating me and also by running up my water/sewer and electric bills whenever they want to. They want to make sure it doesn't pay to speak out around here. And I do believe that the CM has set the tone and the behavior of some of these people, and I hope the bad/unreasonable attitudes, along with the over-chargings can be gotten rid of right along with McMahon. That electric department has some employees that need to be weeded out. Every one of them that has adopted McMahon's retaliation attitude really must go, and I could name two of them right now. If that is what is necessary to please your boss, then the entire system there is broken; and I do believe the entire system in that department is broken.

They overcharge whenever they want to, it does no good to complain, and the customer is never right. McMahon really can't leave soon enough, and she can take her horrible people with her.

1;02 There is no reason to treat customers rudely. When I worked at the dairy we were taught the customer is always right. I didn't understand the logic all the time but in the end it always proved right. I was delivering a store one time and an elderly lady came in complaining that the milk she had bought at the store was sour. Even though the container had a different name then the dairy I represented I replaced her milk.
About a week later she returned and apologized to the store owner and myself for her rude behavior along with her daugther explaining the milk didn't come from the store or me. What we had gained was a loyal customer until that lady passed away. I also received an apple pie.
Rudness can be changed as far as your bill sometimes it includes 35 days of service and sometimes as few as 29 so that also may cause your descrepancy.

Term, this is 1:02. No, it's a lot bigger problem than a few extra days in the billing cycle.

On another note: I was just trying to watch the council meeting. Isn't it funny that we are back to not being able to hear the residents speak. After all the years of taping these meetings, you'd think they could get it right. I think they are back to doing THAT on purpose, too.

And isn't it just great how Hada dares to talk to the citizens again? Back to being rude and snotty.

One last thing - please, please, please. If you or someone you know has been voting for Hada all these years, please stop and/or beg the people you know who have been voting for him to stop. Please. That's enough. He's got to go, too. Can't we send him away with McMahon?

In Sundays Columbus Dispatch ...

Swwet heart dieal for the city of Cilumbus via AMP Ohio.

Columbus has declined to purchase or get involved in any AMP boondoggle projects yet get's subsidized rates at 41 per MW locked in for 10 years.

http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2012/09/16/director-brightens-morale-budget.html

Painesville and Galion will be paying 67 + per MW next year.

6 months ago, Columbus was talking of selling their city grid to AEP, Columbus got bribed not to do it and communities like Painesville and Galion are paying it ...

We were swindled by people in white collars, and we need investigations. We need to get out of this mess. Does anyone have any knowledge about any investigations by any government bodies?

This is 5:09. I just saw on ABC's Channel 5 news saying that the investigation they started and the story that they did has prompted Dennis Kuchinich (sp?) to ask for a federal investigation into Prairie State. I didn't hear the last bit, but I think they said that the answer was yes, and that there would be a federal investigation. At any rate, I am sure that I heard that a federal investigation has been requested. This is wonderful news.
