"BORDERLINE" madonna

Heard a very interesting conversation at the Ward 1 Town Hall Meeting. Our new Police Chief was asked by someone in the audience about "all the illegals in Painesville." {not me}
The chief answered that after a meeting with the Mentor Police Chief he found out some enterprising law officers realized Northeastern Ohio is less then 150 miles from a foreign border. {Canada}
What does that mean?
Forget about INS or ICE who seem more concerned about businesses that employee illegals, Our problem could be addressed by the United States Border Patrol.
I never knew that there were around 125 U.S. Border agents stationed in Sandusky, Ohio along with another 75 in Erie Pa.
If you have an illegal in custody all officers have a 1-800- number to call and if they deem this person illegal its "as ta-la-vista."
Now the police will not "profile " anyone but say an officer pulls over a vehicle with expired plates and the driver is here illegally he will be deported, To make it simple, a crime or a law has to be broken before an officer even inquires. The Border Patrol will go as far south as Akron.
Government is slow to change, but groups like the Grassroots Rally Group should get some credit for the added manpower along our northern border. Along withy many people who want all of our laws followed. Even some Democrats.
Was HOLA informed about all this? YES but I don't think their to happy.

Jimmy Carter rescued an American from North Korea today. HIs crime was crossing into that country from China. He had been sentenced to eight years hard labor.

Contrast that to our government filing a lawsuit against one of our states for trying to keep the illegals out.

Go figure.

And yes, thanks to the Rally Group and all others who have been speaking out and fighting this issue. Without them we would certainly not be where we are at now with this issue. They would all be legalized, and there would be no hope of saving America. If everyone keeps pushing, maybe we can still save the old girl.

Why would any illegal live north of Akron? Term do you really believe this stuff? What about the Sheriff Department or the courts? Very small steps.
Somone mentioned that over 65% of the kindergarden kids in Painesville schools are Hispanic's.
Sorry to little to late.
Then when you deport them they cry racist and your breaking up family's. Who's really breaking up the family?

Term,
Did the chief give any indication of whether the department has been utilizing border patrol to deport illegals from the city? This is a huge tool if our cops can rid the community of a problem starting with a traffic ticket!! I'm very excited about this and would like to know more. You think Hispanic crash and dash accidents are bad now? I bet they sure won't be interested in waiting around for exchange of insurance and deportation.

I agree with you 3:09. It may be kind of late to save America, but maybe if enough people stay on it and fight hard enough, we still can. It will be close.

Guy running for the senate in Florida just gave his entire nomination acceptance speach in Spanish.

Laura Vazquez with the National Council of LaRaza said that every year, we're going to see half a million Latino voters - Latino citizens - turn 18 for the next 20 years.

These are no doubt mostly children of illegals who were automatically declared citizens upon their birth. We must get their parents out. They probably won't take their children with them, but we must try. I read that many illegal parents are signing over rights to other people who could keep their kids if they (the parents) get deported. Shameful. The fact that this got so far out of control is unbelievable.

And yes, they separate their own families, blame it on us and cry racism. We can't let those actions and words stop us. That's how we got into this mess.

When they say that stuff, we need to point out what would happen to EVERY ONE of us if we were in Mexico illegally.

Scary stuff. We need to fight hard now -- every one of us. We can't sit back and wait for someone else to fight the fight for us.

Kick them all out. I am sitting in here in my own home tonight having to hear their &^$%# music that is nowhere near my house, I can't even figure out where it's coming from to call the cops, but it's too $%^#& loud. I'm sick of it. I have HAD it with these people.

Excellent point about border control agents! I never knew that. THEY ARE A resource that we need to utilize. I find the Police Chief`s remark incredible. To my knowledge we have a fairly secure border to the north.

First the music. Driving thru town I noticed a large group of Hispanics on the square celebrating something around 9:00pm? No it wasn't the Republican rally earlier in the day. There were still people there at 11:00 p.m. my guess? A large wedding.
Second the chief mentioned that they recently had a meeting with HOLA at Heritage Middle School and the question was asked, "If an officer pulls me over for driving by brother-in-laws pick-up with expired plate and I don't have a valid Ohio drivers license and am here illegally what will happen to me". The chief answered Border Patrol will be called and you will probably be deported.

What we have are border laws that are the same on the either border.
illegal means illegal if a border patrol caught a Russian illegal in Arizona think they would release him because he wasn't Hispanic?
Northern border, southern border the laws are the same.
Yes I've done the same math as 6:38 and someone mentioned to me that Painesville schools have 65% Hispanics in their kindergarden classes. These children were born in 2005 most of these children parents are illegals but most of these children were born in the United States so in the the year 2023 these children will be legal voters, how do you think they will vote?

I was at my son's house last year. We watched the chldren getting off the elementary school bus. ALL Hispanic.

I'm pretty sure the schools try to fudge the numbers on their hispanic population, too. A couple of years ago, I tried to get the proper percentage and couldn't get it.

We have to try to get the law changed to stop the anchor babies, and try to get some of the citizenship's reversed. If not, even if we manage to get the illegals out, they will be able to take over anyway.

I can't emphasize enough that hispanaics must not be elected to any offices. But what is happening is that when the population of hispanics get big enough in a city, that's what happens. They know exactly what they need to do to take over America.

Hail to the new police chief! It's about time. The man has MY support, that's for sure.

Term, It doesn't matter because it is amazing how the wealthy get the less fortunate folks to vote against their best interests.

The only interest they will have is to make as many illegals legal.

12:54 That's a pretty wild remark.
In the "other world" How would you or I even know what they are taught from birth? Secure the Damn Borders deport the ones you catch, don't give them jobs, Guess what? Problem solved.

So we are finally getting some action on the border, and they are finally asking if they are illegal IF they are in contact with police because of some OTHER transgression. It's a start. But how stupid that that is the only way it can happen. We have to keep pushing to make sure these baby steps are turned into bigger steps.

3:32 You brought it up. What else would you like them to do and how?
Rember its our borders that are wide open, it's our employers that hire them, its our schools that educate their children, [Supreme Court] along with government providing a security net, healthcare, food stamps, ect.
Can you really blame anyone for showing up here if they could?

I believe your all missing the point of this post. For the last 5 years all we have heard is its a federal problem, our hands are tied. We don't have the resources. Now the answer is a 800 number. No more excuses. Thanks for the info Term.

Speaking of all the little anchor babies filing off that bus.. Each one born at a cost of 10k in medical bills to be eaten by the taxpayer. I hate this country for some of the things it allows to happen.

This is 3:32 in answser to Term 4:26:
I would like them to quit screwing around and take care of everything you mentioned and more. Close the borders, arrest the business owners who knowingly hire them, etc. If they are illegal, find them out in every way possible and get them out, just like every other country does. Just like Mexico does.
Instead we wait for them to commit some infraction before they can be approached and asked?! And we let them march in our streets on our government demanding rights, and we speak of amnesty.
Plain insanity. Get them out.

Painesville PD might have the 800 number do you really JaHada and the Queen let them use it in all cases? Everytime I think you know whats going on you show your stupidity on who and how this fine city is run. You. better then anyone should see the smokescreen.
Do you think a politican like Dunlap would touch this with a ten foot pole? Commissioners?
Only in rare cases Term, or there would be a rush on U-Haul trailors.

To 5:29....I thank Term for making this quasi-public knowledge which may force the powers-that-be to utilized it more often. The growing season is about over ...we should be seeing some of those U=Hauls pretty soon anyway.

At September 1, 2010 at 12:47 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

That's the problem - they used to leave after the growing season was over, then a couple of decades ago, they started to just stay. They need to have a legal work program for the fields only, where a certain number of people can come for, say, two seasons with no path to citizenship. When their two years are up, they go home and the next people in line get a turn. I'm unclear if I think they should be able to stay in the off season. Depending on where they come from, I imagine it could be a hardship for them to travel home in between, so it would probably have to be a solid two-year pass. Even that would probably present problems for our social services, etc. I don't have all the answers to this complex problem of needing migrant workers for the fields, but that solution has to be a lot better than what we have now. Although if they came with their families - maybe it should just be the actual worker allowed - otherwise there is the problem of educating their children.

Also, in order to have a temporary work program, the anchor baby problem would have to be addressed. No more legal babies born to illegals. A woman could come here already pregnant, and by the time she left two years later, she could have given birth to three legal citizens with the way it works now.

Can't argue with you,but once you start a discussion that starts out against babies or pregnant women you may want to approach a new subject.

At September 4, 2010 at 5:40 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

This is 12:19. The fact that these delicate subjects were not talked about openly for so long is what got us into this horrible mess. This is exactly the subject that needs to be talked about - if we want to save our country, that is.

I just can't wait to move out of Painesville. The Mexican neighbors were partying AGAIN last night. At 11 we asked them to turn down the music. They did, for a while. Then at midnight we had to ask again. They did. Then at TWO THIRTY IN THE MORNING I was awakened by it AGAIN. They were still partying. I called the police. Two cars came within five minutes. I watched them walk up to the house, speak to the group, ask for one person's ID, apparently (God I was hoping he wouldn't have it, I would have loved to see a roundup), talk to them for a while and leave. The fiesta broke up shortly after that. I am so tired of this rude, low class behavior. I am tired of hearing their ooom pa pa and accordians everywhere in my neighborhood and Spanish spoken all over the place. I am tired of groups of Mexican kids riding their bikes in the street pretty much daring drivers to hit them. What the hell CAN we do about this? They are taking over our town and all I can think of to do is get out the minute I am able to. And to think I used to defend them and think that anyone who had a problem with illegals was a racist. Well, that's changed. If I'm a racist because I don't want to live surrounded by people who behave this way, then so be it. I don't care if they are legal or not. They need to learn English and they need to stop behaving like idiots. I bet there are lots of people like me around, who don't have any idea what can be done about the problem, and who just want to leave. What do we do???

6:21: What you can do is to stand up and be counted at every rally and every other chance you get to get involved in getting them out. Maybe you are one of the few who do that, so I don't want to say that you are not. Maybe if you were not, you will be now. I firmly believe that if everyone who was against our country being taken over by illegals, stood up and were loud and were counted, our cities and our states and our government would have to get them out. Pass it on!

I've known for a while about the border patrol, what I need to know is HOW MANY have been rounded up and deported???Keep up the good work until all gone.
Aside from going to rallies, what else can be done to turn this town around? Who do we contact to over-turn the anchor baby law? When AZ began cleaning house I contacted Strickland to urge him to do the same. No reply, but later heard his speech saying he will NOT do the same as AZ. How does his opponent stand on immigration issues?
