"WERE HAVING A PARTY'

This weekend as most of you know is "Painesville Party In The Park'. Come down listen to some music, talk with old friend and neighbors and maybe meet some new ones.
This party is sponsored by the Painesville Community Inprovement Corporation, which sponsors many great programs throughout the community.

Just trying to get me and this site in hot water? Why isn't there any latino music? The Hispanics make up a large segment of our population you would think there would be at least one or two bands. Before the weekend is over it will be because of this blog.

Latin tunes are great. I am not Hispanic and I love Latin tunes. I also love Eastern European music, jazz and the Blues.... The list could go on. We here in Painesville need to open our eyes and expand our little world. There is more outside of this little city that could be brought in to enrich our lives! Has anyone ever heard the phrase.."Turn a Negative into a Positive."?

Margie, nothing wrong with latin music. I like it. but on my terms. I am sick of hearing it all times of the day and night so loud it drowns out my tv. Or so loud that I can't hear my radio in my own yard. And don't say call the police and report it. I do and they do nothing. The music continues.

Count me in as another one sick of the music. I don't know why it has to be so LOUD, all the time. Why are people so inconsiderate? Between that, and the constantly screaming kids. . .I find myself feeling pretty hostile at times. Is there some rule that if a guy is out working on his car, he's got to have six friends watching, with the music blasting? What IS that about?

Now your telling us "Party in the Park" is not a city function?

At July 20, 2009 at 9:13 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Get the facts straight!

The Bank drive was NOT closed, if someone was blocking it all you had to do was let a security person know and it would have been handled. The sign specifically says the road is open to the banks.

The "Party in the Park" is organized by Painesville Community Improvement Corporation Volunteers but the City puts in a lot of help, expertise and cooperation. Many local businesses contribute large dollar amounts to make it happen. The event could not happen without the three groups working together where they are most needed.

Unlike many of the posters on this site all the people involved put aside personal differences and petty complaints to work together for the greater good of the community.

Spoken like a true city employee, The city provides a lot of help, expertise, and cooperation as a former member of this group I know the truth, the city does NOTHING out of the goodness of their heart. Certain city department heads one for sure likes to let everyone know the show wouldn't go on with out him.

Put aside personal differences and petty complaints? You are employed by the city of Painesville and at 5:00p.m. you run home to Concord, Leroy wherever, and leave us with all the petty complaints that if you got off your rearends we woundn't be complaining about. This citys sole purpose is to provide 350 jobs for people who couldn't find real employment. This city could cut one half of its payroll and not a thing would change.

The city has no expertise in any venture that is successful. Find anybody that tells you the city cooperates with them?

NO THE BANK WAS BLOCKED

THEY PUT BLACK TAPE OVER THE WORDS THAT SAID OPEN TO THE BANKS

AND THE NASTY GUYS THEY HAD STANDING OUT THERE SAID THERE IS NO WAY I COULD GO THRU TO DO MY BANKING.

SO DON'T TELL US IT WAS OPEN
JULY 20 9:13 AM WHO EVER YOU ARE.

YOU GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT.
