"OH OH IT'S MAGIC"

Thats what a city council meeting can do to a problem to just make it disappear. I guess if any councilman asks about Cobblestone you just inform people you won't discuss it at a council meeting but you will talk about it in executive session after the meeting. Is this what happened? Andy Flock must have wanted to ask more questions about Cobblestone and probably was told everyone will plead the 5th? Not sure but thats what I got out of the statement he made in his comment section.
The next time my boss asks me a question I'm going to tell him "on advice of my attorney I refuse to answer my employer. Thats what you do when your caught in a lie. I guess.
Next council meeting as a concerned resident I will ask about Cobblestone and I wonder what I will be told? I only hope other citizens do the same.
I believe we purchased an obsolete ambulance, time will tell, ask yourself why other departments are buying a larger heavyer duty unit. Maybe the added stress of going uphill to Tri-Point, ask?
We voted to get money from the Clean Air Ohio Fund to tear down Lake East?
High grass in your neighborhood? I guess we sent out phantom bids for grass cutting, $62.50 per hr. seems pretty reasonable to the administration?
We did honor two Harvey students who didn't showup or weren't reconized by council.
Maybe someone should send a "packet to the city manager on Friday and ask for answers Monday night.

Let me understand they bought this land for $10.00. Then they let someone build a 350 unit apartment complexon it and they can only give FAIR response time according to their own fire chief?
Yeah I wouldn't want to talk about it either.
Someone stepped in it big time.

Term. you are a sad little man......

At May 20, 2009 at 9:53 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Term is starting to sound like Alphagirl. Obsessing about something that is known by the CM but just can't be addressed at the snap of your fingers. What do you want? Them to park an ambulance in Cobblestone until a fire station can be built? No matter who is boss, they are never perfect and are always under scrutiny by someone for something. The CM should ask Term how to raise kids. Got any tips on that one Term?

Snap of a finger? at least 7 years and everyone who let those apartments be built should be held responsible. Mentor offered to help and was told to take a hike, The CM runs this city like Mayberry.

Term is starting to sound like alphagirl. Well at least his facts are right. That complex safety is in limbo and the leaders of this town could care less.

What Councilman Flock should do with all the information he has is turn it over to the State Fire Marshall and see what he makes of all this. As long as the people at city hall are in charge he will face running into a brick wall at every turn. Call the State Rep. or Senator. If this is as bad as it looks it should be taken out of the citys hands.

To my neighbor come over and we'll talk, coffee? beer? Pepsi?

At May 21, 2009 at 10:14 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Ok now its run to the State Fire Marshall for 7 to 9 min. response times? That means everywhere in Ohio has to be strictly checked for response times. How long do you think it takes for an ambulance or police officer to respond out in BFE Ashtabula? Sometimes 30 minutes or more. Find something else to gripe about besides ambulance times and tall grass. Get over there and cut it yourself if you arent lazy and care so much about the city!

At May 21, 2009 at 11:40 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

If your waiting 30 min. for an ambulance somethings wrong period. The house in question at the council meeting was cut all last year by the people next door, I think they have done enough. most people have cut lawns that aren't their resposibility.

At May 21, 2009 at 11:40 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Hey! I for one would gladly cut the grass for $60+, but I wasn't given the chance! I have cut neighbors' absentee landlord's houses for my own protection. Last year I kept calling the city about a property and it was never taken care of. so the city saved a lot of money letting me do it.

Call Carl Monday they would love a story like this, I only hope the chief says he does a fair job with respose times. Where are the other councilmen? The apathy in Painesvil;le is amazing to watch.

Didn't they vote 7-0 to fix it?
Seems like they are on-board with Flock.

Each and everyone of you have missed the vital point of the
problem with Cobblestone and the Rita (Safety Directors) responsibilities.
In late 2008 she was asked who are the first responders to Cobblestone. Her response was; "The Grand River Fire Dept." This was an out and out LIE during a council meeting and recorded in the minutes. Rita Cm knew that since June of 2008 the Cobblestone area was not ever going to have the responding minutes that are approved by the state in order to insure quick and safe response to all calls for rescue and fire emergencies. It was known back in 2003 that Painesville could not respond per the stats. Mentor offered and the Safety Director (Rita M) turned them down - not City Council.
This issue has nothing to do with the fact that children at Cobblestone attend Riverside Schools in Painesville Twp as J. Hada stated. This great issue pertains to the negligence of Rita M.- Safety Director of the City of Painesville - of which the Cobblestone area is in the City of Painesville.
As for her last statements regarding Jackson Street construction and how when completed will boost the response time to 5-7 minutes? Who do you think you are kidding Rita? No construction in that area for many many years and the response time has never changed. Your road to "no where" off Jackson Street will not be completed for many years - do not count that in.
You Rita, have neglected your job and responsibilities for the Cobblestone area. If you truly think this is a minor mistake, you are a bigger mistake!
You have not done your job and on top of this, you have gone against a Council voted ordinanace in 2003 that: "we will do our own thing" for rescue/fire service in the Cobblestone Dev.
As you Rita M. have always blamed others for your botched plans: in this case, you only have yourself to really blame. Take a good look in your mirror on the wall: "See that you have really failed and no one believes your fairy tale stories any more or at all."
Time has caught-up to you, the past is catching-up, the present times are helping the past and at this time the surge is about to totally break-down all of your locked doors.
No excuse for your negligence from 6/2008. Are you not ashamed? Of course not, because it is always another fault of another person, employee, or other political entity.
Rita McMahon, you do not deserve to be a City Mgr. nor any type of leader in any political environment!!
Lies have never been acceptable in any level of society.

Just for fun folks, don't take this seriously. Just a little satiric humor, to lighten things up, ho ho. Taking the best of the best and putting it all together in one post to see how it sounds!

"Oh ho ho ho and most of you still don't get it. Open your eyes and educate yourselves to what's going on all around you in the City of "Paine". See if you can free yourself from your inherent fish-bowl and Rita's Big Fish-Line. Rita CM is a dictator who does everything only for her own agenda and evil purposes - her rampant desires - everything from the poopy plant to Cobblestone -her stolen Land of Oz - oh yes, she is pulling on that roller-bit all the time, to make sure she gets her way - ney ney! Rita CM, we know that you only want to destroy the city of "Ville"; but we the People are putting you on notice, we are watching you and you never know when we will visit your make-believe world. . .Just ADMIT to all the Good Citizens of the City of "Paine" what an evil monster of mis and malfeasance you are: step down before We the People pursue All Means necessary to remove You from your position which you do not DESERVE!!! We know all about your secret Agenda; because the Voices tell us everything. We have mucho mucho evidence of many many and many lies in your pursuit of dictatorship of the City of "Paine"; which we cannot divulge at this time.

Sincerely, Hurt and Neglected citizens of the Ville who are tired of the Queen Rita CM's LIES!!!"

Doesn't it sound ridiculous? If any of you really believe that Rita is this bad, WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT? Where's your proof, and what action are you taking, other than posting accusations here?

Is it just me but are the wheels coming off at city hall? I never seem so many people upset when I was at the car show last Friday about everything from the streets to the fire dept. Is it the managers fault?
