A new neighborhood group has started in the Heisley Park area. They have a web site and also have started a newsletter to the area. A group of these people have been attending council meeting for the last couple of months. Basement flooding seems to be a major concern to them. I will ask for more information from them on Monday night.

Hey Term,
Check this out the Mexican Restaurant on the corner of St Clair and Jackson St. is closed and up for rent again, you know this place it is the one that just got it's liquor license, what a waste of time, that was.

The question is where and who is in possession of the license now?

You delete honest and factual comments regarding your post to the Heisley problems.
Shame on you.
Good Luck!

If we had to spend money on a bet; We will bet on the Heisley Group and their determination to solve the flood/smudge sewer problems!

Go for it Heisley group! We have been there and it can be most frustrating because the City of P'ville makes promises but never ever fullfills those statements.

What did I delete? They went to council with a flooding issue, and the city and developer are working to solve their problem. If they do fine if not I'm sure we will here more.

Just maybe if the city spent less money with law firms, and planning concepts we just might of had the money for another fire station, What is the fire truck bus used for? I have never seen it on the road. The chief along with most at city hall better get back into the real world. What next $40.00 an hour firefighters?

Thank you. Could you also do a summary of the council meeting. I don't have cable and I rely on this site to keep me informed. I am unable to get to the meetings as I work nights. Thank you for this service.

Even if your at the meetings, you stil have to watch it on television because you dont always hear the peoples comments. I will try my best to put the meeting reviews on this site. You can also go to the citys site to read the minutes of all past meetings.

I do read the minutes but it takes a long time for them to be up, and they have to be approved at the next meeting before they would be posted. So your summaries do help.

Karen, why do you even bother posting your idiotic rants here? If there is any group in this city that I would pay $40.00 an hour to it is the firefighters that I need to rely on to respond to medical or fire emergencies. In todays world I think $40.00 an hour would be a fair rate to pay people that someday might hold my life in their hands. I'll bet they are even professional enough to forgive you for that kind of remark and still save your life if needed someday.

The question is not are they worth the money ,the question is do we have the funds to pay them? Why instead of purchasing a $40,000 vehicle we try using an older police car that we don't use and see if this is the right direction to go. Plus it makes more sense for the firemen to use that vehicle to go to Redi-Go to my Mega Million tickets than to use a fire truck.
At $40.00 per hr. That would be a salary of around $83,000 per year.

How many firefighters or E.M.S. people could the city afford with that payroll? The rest of us live in the real world they must also.

We really only need one, everyone else seems to be covering for us.

Some one needs to take Mary Poppins on a tour of the Fire station, does she not know they live there for 3 days at a time, and when they need things, they drive a work truck, van, etc. so they are ready to go on a call from wherever they are.

We have a great Fire and Police Dept. you need to THANK THEM.

Show me a city village or township that doesn't have a great fire and police department?
I can show you alot that get by with less and do just a good job.
Mary Poppins

Does your employer let you go purchase lottery tickets on the clock? Maybe invite everyone to a firefighters house for over 2 hours for a birthday party? We do in Painesville.

The question now should be asked of council is how many of the app. 340 employees of the city make over $52,000 a year, $60,000 a year, $75,000 a year $80,000 a year what positions they hold and that your answer of why the streets are not getting paved.
$40.00 perhr. firefighters are a good idea? That suggestion must be coming from one of the town idiots.

Went past the Fire Station Wednesday, There was a Fire Chief car sitting there covered with snow. Why not use that for a chase vehicle Chief? Quit blowing our money on your wish list.

I'm an idiot? Ask the city how much they payed for Ford Crown Victoria #2391 how many years they have owned it , the mileage? Then tell me who the idiot is.
Sorry the Chief is in way over his head.
