"HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT THANKSGIVING"

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day filled with great food and lousy football. Who picks these games?
The worse thing about Thanksgiving is "Black Friday". Whats wrong with us? People being trampled to death, pregnant woman losing her baby over what. to stand in line for hours to get a good deal on a playstation?
I personally rather view the lights in Veterans Park than be apart of that.{Thanks Painesville} What part of Christmas does "Black Friday" supposed to play? Sometimes I feel there's someone in these companies telling other's "Wonder how much commotion this will cause."
No matter what the numbers are at the end of the day newspapers and television reporters will tell you the day beat expectations causing you to go out Saturday to spend more.

We had a great Thanksgiving and worked in the yard while the turkey roasted! What a beautiful day! We came in at dark, had a late dinner then sat around and read the paper. What a tome of a paper .... all ads.
I have never ever thought of attending a early morning shopping blizkrieg ....... until this year. And I did not go out at 5 am I went at 9:00 am. I have not been to the mall in 2 or 3 years. Macy's had a couple small kitchen appliances I could use and they had coupons.
I buckled up my helmet, strapped on my pads and ventured forth to ......... The Mall.....
Imagine my surprise when I got there and got a parking place three from the door! So far so good.
Locked the car, take a breath, adjust the helmet and walk through the doors....... no blaring Christmas music, just a few folks but not crowded. But then I was trapped like a rat in maze looking for the escalator to the netherworlds of the .....LOWER LEVEL.

I found the housewares dept. and found the two items I was hunting for. A Macy's salesperson greeted me and took my heavy package while walking me over to the service station. My inside voice kept saying....... this is impressive, customer service, Wow I love it! I paid for my purchase, tried to find my bread crumb trail out of the store and raced home feeling like I had won the lottery!

At home I was in packing material up to my neck when I realized one of the pieces to the small appliance was missing. I called the store..... on "Black Friday" no less and the sales person was excellent! She offered to take another package apart and give me the missing parts.
I shop almost exclusively on line because I hate shopping. But Macy's will see me again. I saved quite a bit of money and it was a pleasant experience...... really painless.

PS: If you do run into a sales person who goes above and beyond the call of duty call the store manager and mention their name. It really gives the sales person a boost during a very hectic time.
Happy Holidays!

We seem to be led like sheep, I could never understand this practice. Always thought is was done to make fools of people, now we have taken it one step further.
