ANDY FLOCKS TOWN MEETING THURSDAY

With all the thing going on I almost forgot to mention Andy Flocks Town Meeting at his home this Thursday at 7:00p.m. The address is 871 Hine Ave. just about 200 yards from N St.Clair St. Please bring your own lawn chair.
With as many of you commenting on this site. I want you all to be aware of what Andy does during these meeting. You can ask questions about services, problems, general questions about Painesville. If Andy does not know the answer he writes them down and sends a copy of the questions to the City Manager to get the correct answer. No names or addresses are used just the question. When he gets the reply from the manager he will read the answer at the next town meeting, or if you ask he will call you with the answer. With as many hits on this blog. site thre has to be alot of questions that need to be asked. This is a very informal setting to get to meet other people in town that you can share ideas with. Hope to see you Thursday at 7. Meetings are always held on the last Thurday of the month.

NO-GIVE HIM A CALL AND ASK HIM

He doesn't read the site? I just thought that the vast resources of the internet and the way anyone can get involved would be a good way to include more people in what looks to be a positive event.

by the way... When someone types in all caps on the internet, we call that shouting. No need to yell.

I was SHOUTING at you

At July 30, 2008 at 4:28 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

No need to shout man. I thought it was a good question. Didn't mean to insult or provoke you. Kind quick to anger are ya? Why is posting questions in the comments section of a post promoting it such a bad idea. Does e read the blog? Does he post here? Maybe we can have an open town meeting on the internet. It could be on-going with no need to try and fit it into schedules. Think of how many more could get involved. This seems to be a natural gathering point for concerned citizens. Why is this a bad idea? Thought it would be good for the blog. Hope I didn't anger you into yelling again.

I think it's a great idea! Welcome to the 21st century!
People have different schedules but still have an interest in this town.

You know you can email Andrew directly. His email address is listed on the city blog. I bet he would bring them up at the town hall meeting.

Will he (Mr. Flock) wait to the next council meeting to answer our question? I hope that he responds/calls before bringing the questions to closing of the council meeting.... Thanks

I think they are saying he would answer them at the next town meeting which seems to be once a month. Are you saying his email is on the city website? sorry you said blog just a little confused MP.

At July 30, 2008 at 6:15 PM , Blogger Sandy Miller said...

Sorry......
if you click on Council on the city website it takes you to the council people and how to contact them; via email, phone etc.......

gotta say if there is a hot topic going on I'm sure it will get a comment at the meeting. Seems like there a quite a few good questions going on at the moment.
peace out.......

If you leave a question on the blog then you really need to leave your real name. You can't expect Andy to take a question to be answered not knowing who it came from, and he would need to get the answer back to you.

At July 30, 2008 at 8:28 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Don't do that.

If you post a good question here someone going to the meeting might ask it. I'll probably post some of the questions asked here Friday.
Hal Werner also holds monthly meeting at Morley Library check Ch.12 for the date of his meeting.

Yes it was and they authorized it.

since it is next to impossible to watch or listen to channel 12 it is easy to see why no one can figure our what is going on.

this is going on three years that channel 12 is screwed up.

so what do you think//////// storm the next council and stage a sit in until they fix it.

Hey Hal can ya hear us now?

At July 31, 2008 at 1:26 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Guess what they do not have to put them on TV at all, so be lucky you get what you get, or they can spend lots more money to make it perfect just for you.

At July 31, 2008 at 3:03 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Guess we dont have to vote for anyone who doesnt want it fixed. With all the money the city gets through cable fees it should be perfect. If they dont like it they can quit, none will be missed.

What is 43-08 ? It sounds like something that should have been discussed. It sounds like we lost?

#43-08 Just wait in 2 years someone on council will tell you we discussed this numerous times in front of council. Why now are you asking these questions? What to Bet?

At August 1, 2008 at 5:54 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

The way they bill the electric is stupid. I thought I was getting ripped off one month, but you have to go back an calculate it over the course of a few months. I don't know why they do it that way.

One more comment about Andys meeting it was stated that Steele Mansion's legal problem has ended. I will not state what this person said the plans for the property were. It was not pretty. TERM>>

At August 1, 2008 at 2:59 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

The electric bill is set up like that for a reason. You never know what the cost is. They could summarize the bill the way they do and still give you a final cost per kilo, if they wanted to. Until we demand change this will never change. How many people in town know there is a summer rate and a winter rate?

At August 1, 2008 at 3:02 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

I heard the Steele Mansion will make Painesville a Place for D rated movie STARS ?? Has any one herd about a movie at that Mansion???

At August 1, 2008 at 3:34 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

No movie.

But the summer amd winter rates yes.

Does anyone know if there still is A special rate if you have elect. hot water tank ?

Now I find out if I am 15 days late on a Utility bill a late fee of 5% will be assessed on the bill. Gee I always thought 30 days late made a late fee? The lazy people then want me to pay a late fee on a bill that was estimated? Please replace these clowns. What does the P.U.C.O. say about all this? Fine you want payment in 15 days I want the meter read every month near the same day no estimates or I want a 5% discount for saving you labor. I am not responsible for the city letting so many people.
skip town or become delinquent, to the tune of a milion dollars.
To the bloger. above dont call City Hall to have them explain your bill there more confused than you are.

Sorry I forgot cash advance business are doing quite well.

Yes, and the best rates and service you can get.

At August 3, 2008 at 5:34 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

To bad I only have your word for that. I would sell all 3 and put the money in the city and have something besides 3 utilities, no one else have them and are doing better than us. WHY?
KAREN

At August 3, 2008 at 6:44 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

If you are so un-happy why don't you move, try paying First Energy & lake county water and sewer.
You thing the city rates are high......

At August 3, 2008 at 6:28 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

We have the cheapest utilities around. How are you complaining. Why on earth why would get rid of them and pay tons more?
Then we would being more for utilities and what do you think we would actually get with the extra money. We sell our utilities to other communities and make money from it. It would be a loss of revenue. As long as we are going to be paying more why don't we just keep the utilities and take the extra money we save pay it in the form of taxes to the city to institute more programs. Karen you have completely discreditted yourself with me. I will never take seriously anything you ever say again.

At August 3, 2008 at 8:05 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

That makes two of us.
Karen has lost it.

At August 4, 2008 at 9:00 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Karen you should ask the question what revenue from other communities. If the pot of gold was rolling in from the city service departments why jump on board withs AMP-Ohio an issue, you're going to get hit with increase anyway when the new EPA regulations go into effect so praise them now, you'll be complaining later. By the way, the reason why Section 8 recipients have no money, because their wages or fixed income does not go up as fast as inflation. For instants, if make $50,000 and I get yearly cost of living adjustment or raise at 3% thats $1500 increase over the year most likely I could afford an increase of 5-10% in gas or electricity cost, because I had an increase enough to cover price increases. But, a Section 8 recipient income usually close to the governments poverty level $25,000 (12 hr.)so that same 3% increase is only $800 for that person. And over a two-three year stretch the income just can't cover it even with Section 8.
