The Harvey High post really brought some strong comments out. The one that caught my eye was the one addressing "Political Correctness" Guess what form of government and country was the first to use that term? and why?..................................
Congressman Steve LaTourette has secured grant monies for 2008 [$75,000] to be used by ther Painesville Police Department to investigate suspected gang activity and other crimes and prevent such activities from becoming a problem in the city. Now call city hall or your Councilman and ask what the money was used for? You will be surprised with the answer and you than should make another call to Congressman LaTourette's office. hint; H.G.T.C.Y................................................
Someone keeps leaving posts that I delete due to language, this person can not write a sentence without refering to the Kings consent, I think you all get the drift. Well he claims that the Grassroots Rally Team had there meetings at Jalapeno Loco in Mentor up until the time the restaurant got raided by "ICE" someone in the group please tell me this person is nuts? ............................................
A resident in the city has suggested that Community Officers, Detectives use Hybreed vechile instead of a standard police car. Somehow watching a Detective arrive in a Toyota Presis {or whatever you call them] take some of the importance away. "Just the facts Mame, do you mind if we plug in until we leave?" The chuckles on the radio this is "Detective ----- in pursuit of a ...." I guess we all have to do our part to save gas, right "Blue Eyes.".................................................

What's ICE?
Those Hybrids do get great mileage and from what I understand drive real quiet when running on the battery power. Might be good for sneaking up on someone.
I know the answer already why do you think its a big deal?
I guess the police are going to get pursecuted no matter what they do. An organization can't even be eco friendly and not catch a load of garbage. Geeez, relax a bit why don't ya? Hey, there's a black van sitting at the end of your street too...maybe it's the CIA...Ohhh.

what is a toyota presis? does it come in purple like your car? i also believe American hybrids could be of use to the city. we have a great electric rate in the city that others are envious of.
department heads, detectives, meter readers, inspectors, etc could use them. the detectives have already downsized a couple years ago with American fords to save money. i am in favor of hybrids and the city can sell the electric. i think in the future we could do this when the cars are more affordable.
i am in favor of golf carts for around our town in the nicer weather seasons. again the city can make some money for improvements to our town. it could also spur new new business in town. like cart repair, sales and maybe even a manufacturing plant
the only problem is a group will complain the city is selling the power or some other crazy "stuff"
some american's complain too much, say we dont make anything any more then go buy a foreign car and other things. other american's seize the opportunities of their times to make money and be of a service. they are normally branded as "evil capitalists"-for example like bill gates.
alternative energy is here and i believe to stay. change is sometimes good. the city should buy American made products to support other Americans and capitalize on the power sales. why not? opec has.
now for the 75,000 dollars....none of it was in my last paycheck. i have known chief smith for 23 years. i know he would not do anything wrong with the money or what it was allowed to be used for.
i am still in pursuit of that beer you owe me. i think you should buy it for me at the new storm cellar or stop by.

A person in your position should know what happened to the $75,000 clueless again, Chief Smith or any other city official did nothing wrong with the money. because for some odd reason we haven't got it. LaTourette brought a big cardboard check to town in Feburary but the real one is missing. Why? Ask what we have to do to get it ?
Forget the color you wouldn't drive a Presis, it would be more like you wearing it.
I doubt a golf car factory will pop up in Painesville because the City buys a few for the police or meter maids to drive around in. Also, what do you actually mean by a foreign car and American car? Some Hondas are made in Ohio, some Fords are made in Mexico. Since most of the car companies are publicly traded, how is any of those considered foreign or domestic? Do we have to tally who owns over 50% of the stock?
as a member of the grassroots rally team, I can say we never once had a meeting at Jalapeno Loco. All of our meetings were held in Painesville.

some of the rally team are close friends outside of illegal immigration activism. We were together with other friends for a community activity, and after that some rally members and some other friends did go to jalapeno loco to eat. The whole day had nothing to do with rally related business. It was friends getting together. Quit trying to discredit the rally group. There is no smoking gun here.
Discredit you? I only hope the employees didn't know who you guys were, it might not been to healthy a dinner. My point was that we support illegals even when we don't know it. Touchy Uh?

Who cares. Seriously. Unless a council person is the one arrested it is not anymore news than if anyone else gets arrested. Prying into their family life disgusts me. Don't attack a council person for the acts of anyone but the council person. If you are advocating that this type of thing become news, you disgust me and the blog has officially hit a new low.
