"IM JUST SECONDHAND NEWS" fleetwood mac

I know your hopin' to find
Someone who's gonna give you piece of mind
When times get bad
When times go rough
And let me do my stuff

First off let me wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I always thought Irish girls were the best, also the most intimating!

Will be spending the evening at  Stagger Inn.

Painesville!!!

Front page News-Herald today Painesville Electric Department gets service award....
Presented by drumroll ....AMP-OHIO ? They should give Painesville a lot more than a simple award. At a recent council meeting Council President Paul Hach who serves on something called American Public Power Association Policy Makers Council that because of sequestration by the federal government Painesville has paid 1.4 million dollars for outside power. All this is true, now Paul take out your calculator and add up what the deals the council as well as the administration has paid EXTRA for power due to deals originated with contracts by AMP-OHIO? A conservative estimate is 5.6 million dollars in the last decade.  Highest price for power from a coal -fired plant {Prairie State} even the highest price for Hydro Power along the Ohio River to name a few. Take AMP's reliability award and stick it where the sun don't shine!
And we now seem to be getting back in bed with these clowns on the proposed Advanced Metering Infrastructure, what could go wrong? Can't wait to compare Painesville rates to new  NOPEC rates. Oh, and you resident's can't change if you wanted to.

Painesville's Tag Mahal  Our new service garage which started with an estimated cost of $750,000 that has grown to what 1.4 ,1.8 million? Still renting heaters, who would have thought a building needed heat in Northeastern Ohio winters? Well they did finally get rid of the $3,000 per month port-a- potties anyway. Now for the cute story they had city employee's painting the inside of the building {shouldn't this be part of the construction?} One employee told them he wasn't a good painter, well paint anyway. Now he does a bad job and the city wants to give him 5 days off? These painter's are the people who should be patching our streets and many other fixes from this pass winter. My Mom has had a red cone in front of the house for over a week. Where are the electric plant painters, anyone?

Kudu's to Painesville City School administrator and students. The administration gave student the right to assemble about the shooting in Florida a month ago student's and faculty, handled the situation. Some districts gave detentions to student's who walked out? You know what's worse than a detention? Getting shot!  Our President stated he would get with the NRA to solve this situation? So when did the NRA become a branch of our government? I wonder if the day will ever come when we value the lives of our kids over a certain type of gun like an AR-15?

Been spending quite a bit of time in the Route 44 corridor alongside Crile Road. Seems like a new business pops p daily. Noticed Reider's Supermarket has been closed due to the death of the owner. Seems many have looked over the property including Trader Joe's and either the store layout isn't large enough or even the parking lot all have balked. Heard a rumor Sweetberry Fresh Market is interested in the property? That would be an excellent addition, and close enough to Painesville resident's.

See TOYS-R -US will soon be out of business? I guess what goes around comes around to them Kiddie City, KB Toys. I always believed they were the reason for the demise of Toyland of Painesville. The big stores never held the same charm, and due to Toyland came my addiction to all those orange and blue boxes I still buy and treasure in my basement!

Had enough winning yet?

I finally understand every week is a new episode, new character's coming and leaving. A wife beater one week, a heavy gambler the next, throw in a pornstar, or two, will Melania move out? and you have the Trump Presidency?  or is it AKA David Dennison?

I went to our wonderful immediate care in the square a couple days ago needing stitches on my hand only to be sent away because "they can't stitch my left side because the beds face the other way" dumbfounded I walked out without saying a word back but wondering why I couldn't just face the other way on the bed or why I even needed to be in a bed as I'm an adult and not an overreacting child. I left and went to University Hospitals immediate care and they stitched it up while I sat in a chair. I can't for any reason understand why it's even there when they don't x-ray, do labs or cant even stitch a finger. Never Again.

re: Trader Joe's--what I would like to see is Trader Joe's in Painesville City itself. The city development people should be doing everything in their power to at least try and make this happen. While the stores are associated with an "upscale" clientele, the fact is that their prices are more than reasonable on most items. There's good reason they're packed from the time they open in the morning to closing time. I guarantee that if you want to see lots of people flocking downtown, open a Trader Joe's! Seriously, you would have people traveling from all over Lake County and points east and south to shop there. I think the only one so far in the eastern half of the entire Cleveland metro are is in the Chagrin area, no? I would say that the area is really underserved by Trader Joe's and could easily sustain another branch. Would love to see this.

10:48 Keep wishing Painesville no longer has the demographics to make a business like Trader Joe's. WE no longer are a wealthy community, We are lucky we got a General Dollar store. Drove thru the city this morning and Dollar Tree seemed to be the only place busy? For a multitude of reasons businesses avoid Painesville like the plague.
7:36 See at one time that hospital was more than a hospital, it drew people to our community. (see above) but the people in charge at the time believed they didn't have to help the hospital where were they going? Well they were shown, Concord Twp. Now as Lake Hospital went out the back door our city leaders thought they had received a concession as they were promised or at least we were told of an Urgent Care facility located near downtown. Well what we received instead was this "immediate" care that you found out for the most part is worthless. I don't know who we are to thank? Hospital or City leadership? Same way Lake East had to be torn down pronto due to the fact a developer wanted to start construction, no time to seek VA or other use it must come down so we can start the rebuilding? What was that 8 years ago? And NOTHING. lots to learn in our little burg.
