Back to the Ville' I see our new city manager Monica Irelan folded like a chair forming this Illegal Task Force? Talk about stacking the deck? What leadership! It's like asking the Gambino Family for Mafia Sentences. Verionica and Sheperd ? Let me promise her and other's the consequences of Painesville losing any federal funds. Hell maybe the Fed's will make us an example.

Heard a rumor the VA Clinic at Jackson and Richmond is closing and moving to Willoughby? Which is close to the VA in Wade Park. At the time of the demolition of Lake East I suggested to the state to keep the emergency room in operation and turning the rest of the building over to the VA . For long term rehabilitation, nursing care. No city manager Rita McMahon claimed she had a developer ready to move on that site. What was that 10 years ago?
The hotel could have been converted to Opioid treatment facility? No same person let SWAT teams destroy the interior of the building. No we choose to grow marijuana in a residentially zoned area.
Dorothy Allen building comes down, at no meeting were there more than two resident's in attendance as to what would replace it? Trust me aluminum will play a big part.

Last month the City of Painesville hired three new service workers. Guess how many were city resident's? In another five years no city worker will be a resident.

10:34 What is your point? There are no residency laws to govern hiring. You cant force your employees to live in the city in which they work, it has been declared unconstitutional years ago. Too bad because I firmly believe if you live where you work, you would put forth a better effort in doing your job. Example PPD chief, most lived out of this town. Did Ms Ireland pick the task force people? Or did council? Again she does what council tell her they are her boss. That said, if council doesnt get their act together and let her do her job, she may not be here long. Council needs to do their job and let the others do theirs. Once these meetings are in swing, are the minion citizens allowed to attend? Sure would be interesting. As for who will replace DeLeone? Development was ready to get underway at both the lake east site and the old Harvey high site, but then your man Tony Carson came on board and fired the developer so he could bring his buddies from Maryland in. The financial backer for the Zerumbas (who also happens to own Victoria Place) did not like the switch and he pulled out. LEC did as well and now we have a field and a parking lot. Seems like your misogynistic glasses are preventing you from seeing where the blame really lies. The lady City managers actually did and are doing good things for this City. It's the goat in the middle that ate us up and spit us out.

Fired the streetscape contractor and had the project finished by City employees. (You were up in arms about the City workers doing the job, but no mention of Carson causing it.) Another of your favorite things: Red cross walks. When the paint didn't hold up, he made public works cut them out and pour red concrete. (That really improved life in Painesville. I wonder if a street or two could have been repaired with that money?) What else...as already mentioned, fired the lake east site developer with no other plan, refused to explore the option of repairing/rebuilding the parking garage, chased off the Lake Erie College dorm expansion, etc., etc., etc. Oh, and made off with upwards of $150,000 in buyouts when he left. ( and as I recall, you were happy about that. Stick it to council! Yay!) I guarantee, had Carson been a woman, you would have been screaming for her head.
