"RUNNING WITH THE DEVIL" van halen

I have been able to verify on the passing of long-time Painesville Councilman William Horvath. The prayer's of our community are with his family.

*****************************************************************************

Least I don't have to beg or borrow
Yes I'm living at a pace that kills!

The Headline should read;

Republican Legislators stand to let Radical Islamic Terrorists Second Amendment Rights,
Along with Fifth Amendment Right of due Process.

Kind of harsh but anyone have a better explanation? If you are on the no fly list, or suspected terror list you can buy a weapon! Plain and simple!

I guess the solution is to force all gun dealer's to do their business on an airplane?

To many people on list that shouldn't be on list? So first order fix the list! Ted Kennedy was on the no-fly list? Someone put him there to make a point, maybe?

As far as the Fifth Amendments the Republican's only want a 72 hour time limit to decide if you should be able to purchase that AR-15? Who's side are they on?  72 hours is due process? If that's the case every criminal should receive a trial within 72 hours.

Somewhere in the Middle East Abulla Aqua Oni Salbals is laughing his axx off at us!

No this is never been about common sense. This has always been about the power of the NRA who pimps to their whores in our Congress. You want our money you vote as your told.

Guess their was no meeting Donald? 80%/90% want something done but a Radical Terrorist  Group the NRA say's nothing doing. Talk about power!

And finally this isn't about gun rights, this is about the complicate marriage  of the NRA and the Gun Manufacturer.

The best we as a country can muster is a 'moment of silence' Well I won't be silent anymore there is no rationality to this thinking. Will it change? Maybe after one of these nut's or terrorist's kills some lawmaker's . Possible than they might see the light!

Please someone question our Congressman and Senator's why they are beholden to the NRA?

It appears the Trump campaign is nothing more than a money laundering operation?  Running for President off to open a golf course in Scotland! Yah he's a serious candidate.

How different is that than a sitting President who is constantly on the golf course, playing?
Look, we get it that he is not your candidate but he still has businesses to run.
We elected a Governor to run our state but no one seems to complain when he was off running for the nomination. How different is that?
Bernie Sanders was elected to be a Senator representing his state but he still thinks he is in the running. How different is that?
The list goes on and on.
Back to stuff that matters to Painesville.

The Republicans want the people on the Can't-Buy list to be notified when they get on the list, and not wait until they try to buy a gun, which makes perfect sense to me. I think they also want an appeals process where you can try to get off of the list if you think you don't belong there. Again, this makes sense to me. Why not protect innocent people's rights while you're blocking the potential bad guys. But the Democrats are going right ahead and making a big political deal out of it instead of talking about concessions, and they are also making a 50-years-ago civil rights issue out of it, having black guys make black-church-sounding speeches and singing civil rights songs. They're all asses. They should have ALL locked themselves in there until they hammered out the deal instead of trying to make political points for their party.

As far as Trump goes, he's been campaigning for a year. Taking a day off seems just fine to me, and certainly not an indication of whether he's a serious candidate or not. Hillary takes a day off now and then, and you don't nail HER for that. The way you keep attacking Trump is kind of sickening. He's got MY vote.

1:47 What did I miss? When did you start signing my checks? If you don't think the Presidential election will affect Painesville?

2:42 First Congress should fund fixing the list?
Let's talk about 'innocent people' like those in Orlando, children at Sandy Hook and everywhere else that has mass shootings. Tell the parent's and other survivors that they had to die so anybody with funds can purchase a weapon to kill them? I don't believe our founding father's intended for this. Congress a 'moment of silence' Really that's the response?
We complain about Executive Orders not only from President Obama but also Bush, why? Because Congress doesn't do the people's business. I don't care how they vote, but vote! Budget, Immigration, Gun Control whatever. What are they afraid of? People seeing the results of their votes maybe? A very few at the NRA have their whores in line and will probably get many more of us killed? They told Donald go sit in the corner and shut-up.

Trump intrigues me. Seriously if I had been asked which candidate would I wish to run against I said Trump. There were at least 6 candidates that could have wiped the floor with Hillary. So in the wisdom of the Republican base let's blow this election. Notice in his last speech he can sorta read a teleprompter? That didn't catch my eye as much as no talk about any wall, deportations? Why that's his cornerstone?
He didn't go to play a few rounds of golf he opened a new golf course. Wonder if FOXNEWS will report how he acquired the property through eminent domain for a private business?
Look I despise that man but all my comment's are true and for the most part meant to be comical. No ones forcing you to read here, and as 1:47 mentioned he want's Painesville fine and I want to let off steam!

2:42 Just so you understand that Democratic 25 hour sit in was embarrassing. What do they think they are back in college?
There are procedures to follow them.
25 hours that's all you got?
Go back and tell people you gave them 25 hours.

8:22, this is 2:42. I actually would have loved that the stupid Democrats did that, if it hadn't just been one big political ploy, and if they hadn't been such stupid jerks about it. They even read a letter from Martin Luther King, Jr. Now, I have a couple quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr. up in my house, but there is no way the stupid Democrats should have been reading a speech from him in the year 2016 under those circumstances. Talk about pandering for the black vote. Stupid. So I would have to agree, they just acted like college kids and they looked ridiculous. As far as I'm concerned, the stupid Republicans wanted concessions that are common sense. And, yes, I believe that's one of the things the Republicans want is to fix the list, which apparently is asinine, too. Reasonable requests, which the Democrats should have accepted. Instead they played games, so this time, it's the Democrats who are playing games with the lives of innocent people. For once, the Republicans were being reasonable, it seemed to me, and there should have been a deal. Instead, then the Republicans started acting like big jerks, and then ALL of the stupid babies went home for two weeks while the bad guys that we already know about can still buy guns. The citizens should have blocked those doors and made those fools stay until the job was done properly.

8:52 Yes they all went home and no one is held accountable, again. If the numbers are right tat 80% Republican's and 90% Democrat's and Independent's want better background checks. That possibly be the problem?

I hear constantly the Democrat's are in the pocket's of unions especially the teacher union? So am I to assume Republican's are in the NRA's pocket?
As a rule no ones dying from being in the teacher's union, but the gun lobby well that's another case. I get a weekly newsletter from or Congressman and after reading the email I wonder if he's in the same Congress I keep hearing about? Will Congressman Joyce ever make a clear stand on anything? I'm sure this goes on in numerous districts.
Vote for a something important.
What happened in Great Britain today leaving the EU might serve us an opportunity to see what a Trump trade policy might be to this country? We will see between now and November.

Term,
This is 1:47 and I really don't understand your comment about signing your check. Something that you picked out of what I wrote?
To answer your second part, no I don't think the Presidential race will affect Painesville. There are far too many layers of government between Washington and our fine City for the decisions made there to matter to us at all. Heck, the decisions made by our very own Governor affect us much more than the President's do.
BTW, the title of the blog is "What's Happening Painesville", not "What's Happening Washington".
I get all I can take on the National races on TV. Your blog is much better at reporting what happens to us locally.
Also BTW, just so you know, I think BOTH of the candidates are complete crap. Sad that this is what the primary votes gave us (on both sides).

The Brits did what they needed to do to save their country. It will be rough for a while, but I'm sure they and the rest of the world will survive it. I hope Americans vote to save America and vote for Trump. There's nothing else to do.

1. Heck yes the election will affect Painesville - Trump will build the wall; no more friends and family joining our already messed up town. Along with the Supreme Court striking down Obama's plan for the illegals. Maybe we can begin to take back our town and our jobs. Remember council voted against the illegal problem a few years back also when Ms Dinallo tried.
2 This part of your quote fits nicely with Mrs. Clinton and the Benghazi mess - "Tell the parent's and other survivors that they had to die" She didn't care enough to support that situation - saw what happened.

3:36 Both the San Bernardino as well as the Orlando and the Charleston massacre where purchased legally and somehow fell through the cracks or by a second sale. Did the F.B.I. drop the ball or are we as a country so lax in checking who buys weapons. 72 hours really, on and off a terror list. A report by a gun store something was suspicious about Omar Mateen. The mother of the Sandy Hook killer knew her son had mental problems and still he has access to an AR-15? I guess you won't agree for tougher laws for everyone. That's a shame. If you have nothing to fear why can't you wait?

3:26 There will never be a wall. Mexico won't build it and Congress won't appropriate the funds to do it. Second there will be no mass deportation. Even Trump is backing off of that one.
Bengazi mess? We have spent what 100 million on that investigation? Yet just a moment of silence for Orlando and Sandy Hook? Priorities? As ridiculous those moment's of silence were for Sandy Hook and Orlando I guess that should have been our response to Bengazi? See how screwed up the thinking is?

2:12 I don't see that turning out as you think?

1:47 Your comment stick to Painesville? That's something a person paying me to do this blog. would say? I will continue to cover Painesville and anything else I wish, that's all!

Term,
The problem is that you aren't "covering" anything, just stating your opinions. That is fine but please don't confuse your opinions with facts. They aren't always the same thing.
IOW, just because you say so doesn't make it so.
BTW, what IU said was "Back to stuff that matters to Painesville". Apparently someone think that means nothing else can be discussed.
Let's be real, you know a lot about the things going on locally. All you know about National issues is what you read or hear on the news. Pretty much like everyone else.

12:52 I try to keep my opinions rooted in fact. As Mr. Trump would comment "I know more about ISIS than the Generals" That's not my opinion those are his words and a fact to him?
IOW just because he said it is a fact!
All of our opinions matter on a variety of subjects, sometime there's just "Nothing Happening in Painesville"
And at times that's a good thing!

You can just suspend a constitutional right because the government arbitrarily decides to out you on a list. Should the government be able to censor your blog and your free speech because they think you might be a terrorist? As for the background checks, would a lengthier background check stopped that 15 year old at the Cavs parade from getting a gun? I'm sure he walked into a gun store and bought it legally, right?

At June 26, 2016 at 9:30 AM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

How do you then arbitrarily suspend a certain Religious group from entering the country, temporarily?.

Since you brought up the First Amendment it prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impending the free exercise of religion (even until we figure things out?) how can you bypass the Constitution?
Look I don't want anybody's gun and as it was explained to me the theory of the 'camel's nose under the tent'. Just like the right for a woman to have a choice many states now seem to believe they can make it near impossible for her to exercise her right. Shouldn't be done for that reason or any reason.
Free speech? You as a private citizen if I would call you a known child molester. You could have a great civil case against me? What do I do go into court claim my First Amendment right?
I and you have no idea where that gun came from, but they should.
