"NAME GAME' shirely ellis

Lincoln, Lincoln, Lincoln,'

Bo Bin Coin

Listening to some who post comment's here I started to wonder if they even knew what the meaning of certain words were?

Racist

Is it a person who believes that one race is superior over another race?
Look just because you don't wear a sheet, or an armband with some insignia you can't automatically claim your not a racist.

Prejudice

Is an unjustified or incorrect attitude towards another person.
I know why I didn't get that job? their a prejudice company.
Just because you didn't get a job doesn't mean anyone was prejudice. Maybe you should find out why you didn't get the job. With that attitude you will probably never succeed.

Bigotry

An intolerance towards those who hold a difference of opinion.
I not a bigot I rent a house to a Black family. Also ask my three Black friends a work.

See that's the problem Donald Trump faced. Although I believe what came out of his mouth he didn't realize that his reasoning was offensive. He had a legal situation and he need to find a cause for it. In the process he embodied all three; Racist, Prejudice and Bigotry.

Many who share his belief will answer, "you don't know the whole story!" Well many of us have heard enough of it.
The sad state of all this is that the nominee of the Republican Party bring a personal mater into the forefront. This civil matter has nothing to do with the up coming election it's all about the Trump Brand. Well time is now to become presidential and tell us how and why he want's to lead this country. Yesterday in an interview I heard him mention THEY meaning the Republican Party. No Donald you are now they.

Here in Painesville it is more important then ever that we go out of our way to respect one another. White, Black and Hispanic I don't expect a lovefest but all of us should respect each other and most importantly judge the individual. Things don't end up going your way because of your anger. Please think what you comment on here most of you  I know are better than that!

Just spouting off!

Don't even try to make excuses for this immoral man.
First no one should be surprised. The only thing missing was the claim that the judges father was with Cruz's father and Lee Harvey Oswald.
Notice he never apologizes, even to God? So now we get 'misconstrued' as a businessman Trump must realize this is just repackaging.

It also works in reverse. Someone can come from privilege and be affluent and receive special considerations. Look at the Sanford rape case? It that had been a young black or Hispanic student even a poor white 6 months for rape? How do you explain that?

10:45 If you say so?
Merriam-Webster Dictionary
: a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, ect : a bigoted person; ESPECIALLY: a person who hates or refuses to accept the members of a particular group (such as a racial or religious group) with hatred and intolerance.
I don't understand what you are disputing?

11:03 Yes it does seem to be different rules for some. As long as people see this unequaled form of justice we on the whole will have a problem. I have no clue why a judge would rule like this?

I have a problem with people who scream, racist, bigot, and cannot prove it any more than the person who made the statement can prove it. So Trump has been beaten up that Hispanics dislike him and he assumes a Mexican heritage judge would not be fair to him, thus he is racist and a bigot.

Move forward and a white judge gives a white man a light sentence and everyone believes he did it because it was a white man and a white man, is that belief not just as racist as Trumps?

Someone I know the other day made a statement about solving clevelands violence would need intervention in the black neighborhoods, someone in the group attacked them as racist in their attitude. I then asked, "but isn't it true that black on black crime is what started all this", so even though it is the truth it has now become racist to say that? no wonder we as humans can no longer solve problems.

At June 8, 2016 at 5:22 PM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

12:52 Revert back to the definitions of both.
Why do you believe was the reason for his light sentence? I think privilege and being affluent.
The person calling you a racist was wrong, what was their solution?sometimes you have to explain your reasoning. Years ago I was viewed as a racist for suggesting that young non-English speaking students be segregated until they mastered the English language. I believed the system in place was holding the affluent English speakers back. I was called everything from a racist to insensitive. Maybe I could have made a better presentation.

Everyone is racist and prejudiced. EVERYONE! It's the human condition. What's important is, how much, and what you do with it.

At June 9, 2016 at 7:16 AM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

5:56 I question am I prejudiced if I see Mexicans waving Mexican flags at rally's? Is it prejudice or my love of country? I don't know? Plus I can't in the end figure out their purpose?
It's a human condition? have you ever watched little toddlers together? They for some reason don't see color? or much of other human conditions. No prejudice is taught somewhere along the way.

At June 9, 2016 at 9:31 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

556-Agreed. Whether anyone or everyone believes it or not, we all have a little bit of racist and prejudice in all of us. Doesnt have to be against a black or white person. Ive read numerous articles stating no human can never not have any prejudice or racism. Its a fact. You can claim you dont but everyone does.

I think human behavior let's us acknowledge we all look different. From the beginning, when were hitting each other over the head with sticks that prejudice served to a means of survival. Kill it, rule over it, torture it, banish it etc. However as we moved up the evolutionary scale and stopped scraping our knuckles on the ground, our brains were supposed to have grown too. Some are still knuckle dragging……. sorry to say. We have the ability to think and reason, use your brain.

12.52 here

So 6:26 is exactly what I was talking about, "hated by most white christians because of the color of their skin".

That is just a blatant statement that you have no proof of but sure sounds like you just made a racist statement about white christians.

3:45 I have no idea what 6:26
bases this on? Maybe perception?

I guess everything comes down to how people view things from their view-point? Last summer someone painted a racial slur on a home recently purchased by a Black owner. When neighbors seen this they went to work to correct this racial slur. Yet many Black people viewed it as a hurry up cover-up? I guess it was all perception.

6:26: Sorry you're so racist against whites. I can guarantee any problems you are having in your life that you attribute to white racists is only because of your own racism against whites. Let's remember that many millions of whites voted for Obama or he wouldn't be in office. I'm also very sorry that Obama turned out to be such a racist against whites that he has set race relations in this country back decades, and has once again told the pooooooor blacks that it's all whitey's fault, and even spurred them to more riots. Now we have more black generations even more stupidly convinced that they have no control over their own lives, and that their lives cannot be what they want them to be because whites won't let them. Better to sit around in a ghetto and complain rather than take control of your own life that way. By the way, what did Obama do for the blacks besides insight them to riots and continually tell them how bad they have it in America? Answer: Nothing. He, too, must be waiting for the whites to fix the black problems.

3:57: The blacks viewed it as a cover-up and not a loving human gesture because they are so racist against whites that they can't see straight.

We have a black president of the United States of America. If that doesn't convince blacks that they can accomplish anything in America that they want to, then nothing will. But then again, all he did was tell them that they can't succeed in America because of the rotten whites. That's saying something, isn't it, as he sits in the highest position in all of the world.

Also, do the black people realize that white people are turned down for jobs, apartments, etc., by white people all the time? White people also have white people in places of business, etc., being rude to them all the time. If black people want to DO better in America, they have to DO better in America, and no, that is not an error in my wording.

At June 11, 2016 at 6:49 PM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

4:47 I guess you have this perception thing down?
I guess I have to ask? How long will we all wait for the Whites to fix the problem?
Yes, never mind all the wonderful opportunities they have given Blacks? From free storage for the ride over here, to doing everything they can to suppress their voting? What's wrong with you Black people ? Look how understanding and kind 4:47 is to you?
To bad they don't leave their name? You could thank them is person!

At June 12, 2016 at 8:47 AM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

More chime in that you just can't thank for all their concerns!
7:30 even suggests Apartheid to solve our problems?

At June 12, 2016 at 5:48 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

8:47. Not Apartheid, you race-baiter. You're so prejudiced against blacks that you think they can't fix the problems they created? Sadly, apparently you are right. It appears they do need white people to do it for them. How will that work? I doubt it will. It will be like paying off the credit card for a spoiled kid, which will likely mean nothing to the spoiled kid, because they had no responsibility in cleaning up their own mess. That credit card will be at the limit again very quickly. Maybe instead of Obama telling blacks they can't accomplish anything in America because of those disgusting whites, he should be telling them "Yes, they can." Wasn't that his motto for being elected? Then he got elected and told the blacks they can't do anything in America because of the whites, and that their circumstance is all because of whites, and they have no responsibility for it, and is pointing at the whites to fix it all. He's pointing his finger at the wrong people. I never once heard him tell them to start fixing their own neighborhoods and the problems they themselves created. Or to go to school and get a job. And, yes, 12:52, nobody can speak the truth about blacks. The blacks won't admit or say that they created their own problems, and nobody else better say it either. So the problems get worse and worse while blacks and Obama scream racism and blame it on whites, and waiting for whites to fix something that only the blacks can fix. Oh, and then there's 6:49 who's still talking about slavery as a reason that in 2016 blacks are creating more problems for America instead of less. The head of the Islam-American relations just said, as he was talking about the tragedy last night that the liberation of Muslim-Americans in this country is tied to the liberation of all minorities in this country, thus blaming this back on white people apparently. CNN has a special on Muslims, "Why Do They Hate Us?" and the Muslim making the report makes sure he has a sentence or two in there blaming it back on whites. At this point I think that any minority person living in the U.S. who is sitting back and blaming their circumstances on white people, should find a country they think they can do better in, and go there. They should make it a country with little or no whites, of course, but then who are they going to blame their lack of success on?

5:38 Please give me the times and places President Obama made these accusations?
Such as they can't succeed in America because of the Whites? Your probably the most racist person that comes to this site with so many stupid remarks I guess you have a case of diarrhea of the mouth! Please share with us where you find these facts? You are not the solution but pretty much the cause!
Oh, I have heard him tell people to take personal responsibility for their actions!

6:40. Look it up. I'm just telling the truth. I fought for black rights until about ten years ago, then I guess I got tired of their racism being used as an excuse, and maybe my kind were call Crackers one too many times. And you're just one more white person adding to the problem by going along with the blacks and not telling the truth, thus allowing more and more generations of blacks to digress to shocking levels instead of succeeding in, and for, America like they should be. And maybe Obama could tell them one more time what pigs the cops are; that seems to be helping a lot, too.

7:36 You look it up I can't look up anything that exists in your mind!
With people like yourself fighting for them who needs enemy's.
Truth is I see things as getting better.
Good-luck with that health problem you have.

To the above. As a recent Black female college grad I see nothing in life that makes White's superior to any race. Have you people looked at yourselves in a mirror recently? You're not all that and a bag of chips,as they say. We as Blacks are making progress, small steps but progress all the same. When we see a young Black male followed into his neighborhood by a vigilante with a gun and the young man is shot down in cold blood and someone calls it self-defense? Reverse the roles, what do you believe the outcome would have been? And you wonder about anger? Blacks are nowhere close to perfect but as a whole White's seem to fear losing the racial superior number's they have had. Is that really the issue. Look here's a clue people are trying to kill us. Not Blacks, White's, Christian,Jews Democrats and Republicans and if we don't soon bond together, we will be no more plain and simple. To much hate.

To 10:01: Sorry you're such a racist, but typical. I'm not saying whites are so great; not my point, but good of you to point it out. Trayvon Martin was gunned down by a vigilante, yes, but that vigilante was not a white man, so don't blame it on whites. Just because he wasn't black, doesn't mean he was white. During the trial of that horrifyingly sad loss of a young life, during which his murderer was set free, his friend described how Trayvon was saying that a crazy Cracker was following him, and then she didn't even know that that and other terms he used, and that she repeated, were racist. If the blacks HAD joined America more, would that scared kid have called the police? Who is to say, but I wonder that. We can't know if they would have responded in time, or maybe Trayvon just didn't realize how much danger that guy posed to him. It's hard to say how that unfolded, what Trayvon was thinking and not thinking, and if he had enough time to realize just how much trouble he was in, and then did he even have enough time to call the police after that, or if he would have. Blacks have no idea they're even racist, and they take no responsibility for their racism causing their own problems. White racism has nothing to do with what is going on with blacks now. Then you go on to say that you think the whole problem is that whites fear losing the majority. Again, not the point, and it's a racist thing to say. You talk about people bonding together. Yes, that is my point. But my point is that it's the blacks not bonding with the whites and, therefore, not carrying their weight (not all, but as a whole), and how THEIR racism is keeping them from joining America, not any racism that comes from whites. White racism, whatever is left over, which isn't much, and now the newly racist, has nothing to do with causing what the blacks are and, are not, doing in America. Blacks should have joined long ago, and we shouldn't even have to think about it anymore. But they didn't, and they're not, and their racism is greatly harming America. My sympathies go out to the Martin family; I cannot imagine how heart wrenching and life changing this has been for them -- all of it. A very, very tragic situation, and one that I would change for them if I could, to be quite sure. My heart also goes out to the young white woman who was confronted by two blacks while she was walking her baby in his stroller. They demanded cash, and then shot the baby in the face, killing him. I don't remember the blacks rioting over that. I don't remember a word from the black community over that. Or from the whites, either. No press conferences, no White House looking into it. No marches. I wonder how that young mother is doing today?

White people may not be "all that" (and I'm not arguing that point), but they must have a bag of chips in there somewhere. They created and have mostly been at the head of running this great country from the beginning. So 10:01 should maybe give a shout-out to white people and say thanks. And if you look all around the world at the color of the countries that are doing well, and the color of the ones that are not, maybe she should be hoping that whites continue to have the majority in this country. What would be happening in, and to, the world right now if the U.S. had not had a majority white all these years? We could start making a list of the brown and/or black countries that are doing well. (I hear crickets.) I'm not the one that made it this way, but that's the way it is. I'm just saying...
