Received an interesting e-mail yesterday.
It seems a high ranking city official belongs to the site called Linkedin. Along with myself many other people I know around town belong to this site?
Now along with this person's picture a comment was left;
"Evanston is a great community!!"
Evanston, Illinois is a very upscale suburb of Chicago.
Evanston, Il- Director of Parks, Recreation & Community Service
Seems Evanston is looking to fill this position, and the person mentioned has all the qualifications to fill this position.
Now this $145,000 position will not be filled until after November 8, 2015.
I just wonder if this is a wise way to show that you have plans to leave the city for another position? Some suggest using this blog. to let people know?
Look if this person want's this position I hope they get it they are a deserving person and a professional.
Sad how everyone around here wants to jump ship.

I saw the same thing.
Too bad that he wants to leave the sinking ship.
IMO, he is one of the few in the Administration who has a good handle on things and seems to understand what needs to be/should be done.
I won't be happy to see him go (if he gets the job) but I certainly understand why he would leave.
GEE Ms LaPuma just got in with Painesville and now she's leaving? Just used us as a stepping stone huh?

Rita appointed Doug Lewis asst. manager, why? She couldn't do her job, I guess? So goes Rita, so goes Doug Lewis. I wish him well if this all pans out to be true. I am somewhat mystified as how a guy goes from Conneaut, Ohio (and did not have a stellar record), to Painesville, Ohio and jumps to Evanston, Illinois. That is quite a leap!
Please don't be so vague.

Sorry, but there are a few people keeping the city ship from sinking and he was one of them. Now What Council? Hopefully your city financial people wont leave next, you can kiss all the money goodbye.
So this will mean Mr Carson will get to appoint yet another person to work for him? Will it be someone from the Warren Youngstown area? Or will it be someone from Madison? He really has aligned himself with his buddies hasn't he? Now, maybe the janitor will be fast-track promoted like the secretary up to a head position was?

Don't blame to secretary now that she's running the department the City Manager is supporting it. When will this great unveiling happen? When will we know the cost of this project? Did council approve it or do they even know about it?
