'I HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE" marvin gaye

BULLETIN

As some of you have already known a 16 year-old girl was struck on Mentor Ave. by a hit-skip driver over the weekend . The girl was life flighted to a Cleveland Hospital. The vehicle in the hit skip was a Jaguar  and was found behind Rider's Inn. The driver has been apprehended and is currently in jail. Now comes the twist. The case has been moved to Mentor Court? Charged with a 3rd degree felony. The alleged driver I have been told is the brother of a prominent Lake County Judge.

**************************************************************************

You could have told me yourself

First off, let me tell you of the co-operation I have received from the Painesville Police Department.  It has been excellent. Never 'we'll get back to you'. 'What do you need that for?' Best asked for and received.

Granted' this is only for a month but I find troubling things.

We must remember a lot generated here means very little such as on 09/22/15 RECOVERED BICYCLE AT 14:45 (2:45 PM)  or CP 8:03  BUT

There were 3 ASSAULT calls  10/09/15   09/29/15   09/28/15

There was a FIGHT call 09/24/15

DISRRB  10/14/15

JUVE/SUSPICIOUCS CIRCUMST  09/09/15

SUSCIR/UNRULY JUV.  09/09/15

But the one that troubled me the most?

ASSAULT-INFO ONLY  10/01/15

See. my reliable sources claimed a parent skipped the school system altogether and went directly to the Police Department. Why?  So was this the reason to go to the school for information on an unreported assault ? I can't know or prove that fact but for some reason the school administration was skipped.

Now without any proof my only concern with the administration knowing I am looking at these incident reports, let's just pray incidents are now going unreported? Again no proof but something seems to be going on.

All I want is a dedicated SRO officer in that building. I'm starting to believe for some unknown reason that's the last thing some want.

Tell me anything you want, but please don't tell me there's not a problem.

First Trump goes after Senator John McCain, now President George W. Bush over his involvement on 9/11. It must be great to be self-funded!

Wonder if he will ever ask to see Senator Ted Cruz's Birth Certificate?

Gee, and the school year is just starting.
Wait unit spring when they have been inside for 4 months.
This should be interesting.

I suppose like most people my age (and yours), I am amazed that such a thing as a SRO is even needed.
In our day, Jack Britt alone put the fear of God into us and if that wasn't enough, the trouble I was in when I got home would finish me off.

Today of course, my little Johnny or Sally would NEVER do such a thing so the teacher must be lying.

8:38 The way we were isn't the way it is. It amazes me how many parents take their Childs side all the time. My own thought with how many parents work or are spread so thin, this is how they show the child there on Johnny or Sally side? Remember it's just a theory. I have watched children talk to teachers the way they never would think to talk to them.
To alleviate this situation let a trained SRO officer handle it? You were trained to teach not to defuse situations.

I assure you many incidents went unreported when Kim Martin was Principal at Harvey. Ms. DeAngeles is a disciple of Ms. Martins. Keep checking.

Like him or not Trump told the truth. Can you imagine the uproar if the Towers had came down if Obama was President at that time? How many committee's would be looking into Clintons briefcase questioning if she had been warned of an eminent attack by Bin Laden?
Yes Bush kept us safe now ask the dead and the families of dead on 9/11?

Please explain what you are rambling about?
What "truth" are you talking about?
Does any one of us, the great unwashed, know what the "truth" is? Do you?

Term, this is 8:38 and I realize that some (maybe many) things are different. However a couple of things are the same.
1) Kids are still kids and they will get into trouble and cause mischief.
2) Someone needs to administer the standards of society.
3) When kids cause trouble, they should be held accountable and not given a pass because Mommy or Daddy goes to bat for them. It sets a bad example for what can, and will, happen in the future.

As a person, I am responsible for my own actions. Because I get caught doing something wrong does NOT make it the fault of someone else.

Neither is any better, just hidden more efficiently. Written, verbal or computer. Which one can be proven?

11:29 here, one of the great unwashed. How can we spend more time on Benghazi then we did on Watergate? Me I want to see the documents Security advisor had. Cheney should be the one in jail. If you can't figure out what happened or dropped the ball on 9/11 how do you expect to find out about this Benghazi investigation?
Republicans never accept responsibility for there mistakes. Iraq was a mistake, and the information was dealt out by the Bush administration period!
Thanks for pointing it out Mr. TRUMP.

So everything you think, or write about, is the "truth"?
Only YOU know?
Are you sure?
Just wondering.

Please explain the truth?

Term,
That is what I am asking 11:29.
He/she seems very sure that they know the "truth" and no one else does.

Seems you didn't believe someone that said city employees get lunch once a month at staff meetings. The last one hosted by the water department and wraps were bought from Jimmy's Restaurant for this luncheon. I cant believe you stand for this spending, don't believe people reporting this and just turn a blind eye on this (0ne of many) situation.

It is a sad state of the times that an SRO officer is needed, and indeed they are very needed in every building in a America as coach Hall foundation is advocating. Unfortunately, this doesn't get to the root of the problem. It is a band-aid to cover the problem. It doesn't solve the root cause.

Many of us had easy access to guns as youngsters but none of us did something stupid like bring one to school. We were taught right from wrong, we were taught morals and values and respecting others. We had a moral compass. We had families that cared about us and nurtured us, ate dinner with us, talked to us. No one has yet to say it, but the breakdown of the family has had huge ramifications in our society and culture. Getting an SRO officer to make a connection with a student wouldn't be needed if that student was loved, cared for and nurtured at home, it is a bandaid covering a deeper issue.

My question why were the proceedings moved to Mentor?

Why Mentor.......your right...now that's the big question.
Pleeeeze someone tell us. I doubt the News Herald will, for days anyway.

News Herald is toothless and won't write a bad thing about anything.

8:59/4;04 Is this in regards to the recent hit and run? I checked Painesville's as well as Mentor's.
It was transferred out of Painesville for good cause which means that someone in Painesville has a close relationship with the defendant. Judge Cicconetti asked that Mentor Muni handle the case. which they did and he pleaded innocent. He is being held on a $510,000 bond which if he can make bail 10% he will be fitted with a SRAM unit and will not be able to use alcohol or have contact with the victim. His information is all on both websites.
This is a very sad case my thoughts and prayers are with the young lady who got struck.

At October 22, 2015 at 4:17 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Hey Term...it also could have been transferred because Judge Cicconetti has a tie of some kind to the VICTIM or there is some other compelling reason that Painesville Muni Court cannot (or should not) hear this case. Also, to set some facts straight for those of you that won't bother to look it up for yourselves....the driver was charged with 2 (two) felonies....the more serious (F3) is for the hit/skip and is worth 6 points against his license (if/when convicted) and the F5 is for felonious vehicular assault and also carries a six point charge against one's license. Six plus six equals an automatic license suspension from the state.
It's also worth noting that (at this point in time) there is no official mention of alcohol being involved....they didn't apprehend Lawson until hours later...that makes any sobriety test an easy target for even a novice defense attorney. As of this AM (Thursday) he was still in the Lake County jail. Wonder why he can't make bail?

You should also look into the incident report of that night. Right around the time of the hit and run accrued police received a call about a disturbance at a nearby church at almost the same time? They may be the reason police were so fast to respond? Wonder if there's a tie?

Wasn't there a passenger in the car with Lawson? My understanding there was. Now, where did she go?

12:16 unaware of that.

12:50 Yeah find a safe place to go to a not so safe place. Doesn't make much sense.

10/19/15 3:17 Yes there was a staff /training meeting with the Water Department and the city did pick-up the tab.

Oh, so now there is proof to the residents that free lunch is provided during city meetings on my dime? I guess spending how much? Monthly? Is OK by you then? Add it up for a year? What is the damage?

I talked with a well informed individual who told me that Mr Lawson the driver in the hit and run is no way related to the Juvenile Judge. Just an ugly rumor.

And just who started this ugly rumor? The only place I saw it was on this blog.
