"COUNCIL MEETING 11/03/14

I guess it comes with the end on the year, not much happening.

We will see if non-bargaining  staff will receive Christmas Eve off.

Vote on letting the city manager seek bids for our cemeteries.

Mentor Ave. 239 will be tabled until the November 17,2014 meeting letting the planning commission to be thrown under the bus.

An application from the State of Ohio for funds for Walnut St. as well as Lexington Ave.

SNF wants to bring (9) acres on Capital Parkway into the JEDD, sure would be nice to bring the Lake Health administration building into the JEDD, this is not that.

Katie Jenkins requests to know how a vacant commercial building is "Unoccupied" ?

Can't wait to hear the smozze  job AMP-OHIO sold our city representatives....This time.

I have to wonder what the Planning Commission has to do with this? Appears to be "buck passing" at its best.

I often wondered why the hospital is in the JEDD but, conveniently, the Physicians office Building is not. What do you bet that the doctors are always working in their office (and don't pay income tax) but they are never in the hospital (where they would be taxed)?
The rich get richer!

2:55 JEDD an agreement between Painesville and Concord Twp. Joint Economic Development District. In a sentence township's can't collect income tax in a JEDD you can but must share it with a city.
SNF no clue? Sunday Night Football perhaps?
8:20 I believe the Physicians building is part of the JEDD. The administration building down and to the north isn't that's where the real money is. Now if someone can explain how that building won't benefit from the JEDD without paying a dime. I'm willing to listen. Another Rita and Joe deal.

I have to wonder also. Is there a plan for that property? Or another case of council passing the buck? Well planning approved it....ya ya ya

Term,
You might be right on that. I knew that one of the buildings was not included but I was thinking it was the Doctor's building.
Regardless, someone is getting a free ride. A deal indeed!

11:15 Yes Lake Health is so community driven that upper management moved to Concord Twp. to get people like President Cynthia Moore-Hardy get out of paying income tax and she makes more then our President. Never mind the fact that Lake Health being a not for profit pays no property tax on either hospital.
Lets face it the donations LH makes are coming out of your pocket not theirs. Again where is that promised Urgent Care Center???
LOve the doctors and staff but in the end little regard for administration. You know if the Mafia was a little wiser they might have gone into the health care field.
