"IT'S THE TIME OF THE SEASON" zombies

Yes it's that time my Mom mailed in her ballot. (wonder who checked her I.D.?)

Let's get to the meat of this year. Democrat's are going to take a beating a down home beat down!...
Why? The Republicans have so many great idea's and policies? No, it been bad news after bad news.
Ebola, ISIS, you name it President Obama has to take responsibility for just about everything.
This year we seem to be looking for candidates who enjoy castrating pigs? i.e; Joni Ernst who also wants to arrest Federal agents for obeying the law?

Now on a national level if your running for the Senate as a Democrat  and you can't even admit you voted for the President what exactly are you telling voters? Simple answer? "Yes I did I opposed the Republican agenda and the policies of Mitt Romney." Simple why out think the process?
Senate will fall into Republican hands. ACA, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security will take a hit. I see the President Impeached as well. As well a call for American troops "boots on the ground" in the Middle East. Just call me Dave will win over Michael Wager who just ask's me for money everyday. As people tell us election have consequences. Watch how this election  will  affect you.

On the state level I see Governor Kasich  in an easy re-election . He turned the numbers around quickly. Seems once he accepted  the President Medicaid policy (Obamacare) he seems to take him on an upward rise. Plus the fact for some reason or another Democrats have a weak bench . Tell me how can you not remember to renew your license Mr. Fitzgerald? Nina Turner should be advised to clean up her own house before running for a State wide office. Any Democrat with a chance to win in Columbus this year? David Pepper against attorney general Mike DeWine he runs some slick ads and where exactly did that 1.7 million come from and go Mike? Josh Mandel? Never been crazy about people who get elected to one office only within two years pursue another one.

Lake County Oh, did I have high hopes for Kimberly Laurie but who is advising this candidate? Dan Troy has what seven times as much money along with name recognition this plus many prominent  Republicans having his signs in their yards?  They must like the status quo? Troy looked ripe to beat this year.
Then she come up with a campaign that makes Troy look like a King? Being King ain't bad ask LeBron. She should have put herself out there. Asking why we need a new jail? Why the county outsources vehicle repair. The Mexican Matricula Card? Troy had no answer and ran from the issue. That said sticking  with your Tea Party friends loyalty is great but will it get you elected? "  Sorry Kim "the saddest thing in life is wasted talent." Principles are fine only hope they can get you elected, your purpose as County Commissioner is to serve everyone. I know you got some good advise and decided to ignore it.

Also I hope the people of Lake County realize how lucky to have Karen Lawson as a Judge.

Hey, It's only two years can they do that much harm????  I see the GOP taking it on the chin in 2016.
If you read this post you can see that Term does vote for Republicans.

You have to wonder how many Dems and GOP who are dead voted by mail in this years election?

As I've mentioned before when commenting on one of your previous posts, Democrats have to figure out how to inspire a large segment of their base, namely Latinos and the young, to vote in non-presidential years.

Watching what politicians have stooped to over the last decade is sickening.

The national candidates that are presented to us these days are downright scary. Sol Alinsky, Bill Ayer’s, Angela Davis, and the like are have been teaching our children since the 60's.

It’s no wonder that squads of legal teams are out scrubbing the record prior to a candidate running for national office. Otherwise they would be summarily rejected in the primaries.

6:00 I guess I have never figured out why or how you "inspire" anyone to vote? It is a gift most American's take for granted.
Why do you need help to vote for your own self-interests?
8:40 Those people didn't educate all of our children? You have to ask why so few Conservatives go into the educational field if they know it's so important? That's how you end up getting candidates that want to castrate pigs along with another that brags about out-sourcing jobs?

It's really quite simple the GOP has always looked out for the haves. They care little about the 99% of us. Look if your family income is over $300,000 a year vote Republican if its not why are you supporting policies that in the end hurt your families. I will never understand this?

I was outraged by Dan Troy's ad that came to our house stating Ms. Laurie insulted people along her campaign. She is the only one I know that has what it takes to come right out and say what needs to be said. Yes, Painesville is now little Mexico. Is that not a fact? I truly hope if elected she can turn things around here. I would really like to talk to her in person next time.

You asked why people need help to vote for their own self interest. I think that those who vote inconsistently don't understand or appreciate the consequences of not voting, at least about how it will affect their lives at some point. Whose responsibility is it to get through to them that voting in every election is important, and why? Some may say that it was up to their parents or teachers, but if they don't understand it by the time they are 18, it's too late; that's why it's incumbent on the Democratic leadership to find a way to show these voters that it does matter for them to vote each and every time. For example, for next week's election, the leadership should have been running ads in every state where there is a Senate race, pointing out that it's important to maintain a Democratic majority in the Senate, should the President have to fill a Supreme Court vacancy before his term ends. All the ads had to do was to point out the negative consequences of having/maintaining a conservative majority on the Supreme Court, as well as show photos of Scalia, Thomas, etc.; if it was produced in an effective, straightforward manner, perhaps it would have gotten through to at least some of those who weren't going to vote. An ad like this should have been part of a national campaign by Democratic leadership to get out the vote, one that should have started early in the year. The effort to get people motivated to go to the polls shouldn't only be during presidential years, which is why I ultimately blame the Democratic leadership for not thinking out of the box. If they are going to rely so much on the vote of groups who have repeatedly demonstrated that they don't understand the importance of voting every time, they better do something to try and change that behavior, instead of wringing their hands and wondering why it is so.

8:34 So unions, teachers, public employee's there are no Conservatives? Get in touch I'll introduce you. Yes I vote with who or what would seem to do the most good in my mind. Does that make me a Lib? I know I have never voted a straight one party ticket in all of voting years.
5:58 O.K. Let's take the Black vote. If a candidate can't even say they voted for the President how will you get those Black voters to turn out and vote for that candidate? Just maybe the candidates behavior should change.
12:06 All I can say is vote next Tuesday.

10:30am what I can't understand is how you think that the Dems aren't hurting us financially. Are you one of the entitlement junkies? Am I paying for all your children? Am I paying for your food, housing, you cell phone? I am a proud Republican and I am not wealthy. Never have been and never will be. But I pay my own bills. I work for what I have. I am not opposed to helping those that truly cannot help themselves, but I am so sick and tired of paying for laying butt heads who want to sit home and smoke crack all day on my dollar. The Democrats will woo anyone with entitlements just to get their vote. Whether they legally can vote or not. Doesn't matter. So there!

8:44 Along with paying for 10:30 everything. Do you also realize the biggest welfare whores are corporate America?
How many entitlements do you figure corporations get. If the Republicans do retake the Senate watch who benefits. Sorry Charlie not you. Banks and Corporations will be the first to reap the benefits.
The Republicans will woo anyone to feather their pockets and pay to keep them in power. Watch and Learn. Maybe you should look up more instead of always looking down?

I have to agree with you about Kim Laurels campaign. After Troy distanced himself from the martricular card instead of spending money showing Troy dressed like a king. Maybe a photo of a smiling Jimmy Demora and Frank Russo with a hand on Troys shoulder a picture is worth a thousand words. Someone dropped the ball big time.

Since Democratic candidates nationwide have run away from any association with President Obama, I agree with you that they are hurting themselves with black voters. That's why the Democratic National Committee should have picked up on this and ran ads targeting blacks, as well as Latinos and the young, pointing out to them the consequences of not voting. Rather than try to sell Democratic candidates to these voters, sell the scenario of what would happen if Democrats lose. This is like saying "You may not like the Democratic candidate, but he/she is better than the alternative", without having to say it directly (and offend said candidates), but continued poor results call for drastic measures. Sure, it'd be unorthodox, and may not succeed, but it's certainly preferable to just accepting the inevitable every time there's a non-presidential election.

TERM 9:23am, What about all the money that your president has given to big corporations? Corporations that declared bankruptcy, Your president gives them a big bailout, and they take their business overseas. Did you forget that? You have a very selective memory. Your administration is so for big corporations that it would be laughable if it wasn't to dangerous. But you see what you want to see, and I have my head up. Proudly up.

8:23 Mine too, but is it enough? Mine was a protest vote for it's time to retire Dan!
5:46 You didn't I didn't and most importantly the DNC didn't

My wife, daughter and myself are registered independents. We voted for Troy. Tea Party candidates are not the solution!

At October 29, 2014 at 2:55 PM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

12:23 I guess we are all going to chime in on who we voted for. Me included. What exactly could a Tea Party candidate do as a county commissioner with two Democrats to vote against her? Maybe she would learn to compromise? Card or no card noones leaving or coming here because of a card. Relatives and jobs.

At October 29, 2014 at 6:56 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

Kim? Just who is advising her. King ploy is in very poor taste. As stated above, even some Republicans don't like her. Experience?? None. I've heard she doesn't have a job now. Who knows. I'm not able to vote for someone who has to learn on the job. Not happy with Troy either. Is this a lesser of two evils or only two evils. Time to pray for Lake County.

6:56 I can't figure it out either why make your campaign a joke when no one knows you? The Tea Party sometimes shows an adolescence or sophomoric sense of humor. They get it but don't realize the average voter isn't going to. That said I expected Kim to have to castrate a hog or two at the Lake County Fair. It works in Iowa?
It's what happens when you listen to people who make shirts out of American flags, isn't that against the law?

At October 30, 2014 at 12:30 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

And yet, TERM, you said you voted for Kim. So her joke of a campaign is working. I think you voted for her because she basically has spit on the Republican Party which is what you do. So she is ok in your book even if she is an R on the books.

At October 30, 2014 at 2:03 PM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

12:30 I voted for her in spite of her campaign. I just see a lot of potential for Lake County in that lady. Hope she finds her footing.
How has she spit on the Republicans party? Seems it's the other way around. Maybe there's a good old boys club or being in some loop that she just doesn't conform to?
If by chance she is elected and screws up the county I will vote against her next time.
