"BACK WHERE YOU BELONG" 38 special

Well I guess the people who own Steele Mansion got kickbacked to the Planning Commission? Yes "here we go again" Those interested the Planning Commission meeting will be April 12,2012.
Seems now the city administration doesn't believe the things the Shamakian's want to do with the mansion warrants a change in code from R2 to B1.
A comment Mr. Shamakian made was that the city would like to approve this 7-0 so I can only assume the votes for or against the Inn would be 4-3? Seems some members of council don't want to carry that stigma around with them.
This Inn is not a bed and breakfast. It is also not a Holiday Inn so can someone just get out of these peoples way so in two years everyone can saywhat a great idea this family had?
I do not share the enthusiasm that the Shamakian's do, Call it my untrusting nature of city hall. Why make them go back to where they just came from and then have someone on the planning commission decide you can't do those things in an R2?
Seems council can't get their act together on most anything. Just maybe they want the blame for this Inn to be at the hands of unelected commission members?

The only other issue that came up at council that I had any interest in the State of Ohio Pit Bulls can no longer be classified as a vicious dog. Two members of council Lori DiNallo and Katie Jenkins would like the city ordinance changed that in fact Pit Bull no longer have to be muzzled when walked in Painesville.

Have to agree why is the city making these people jump throuh hoops?
As far as the dog deal can't wait for party in the park and in a crowd someones pit bull gets stepped on. If it looks like a pit bull and smells like a pit bull chances are its a pit bull.

5:55 I got the impression that Katie and Lori just didn't want a certain breed of dog "profiled"?
You will have to ask them.

Term - why do you have to glorify everything? The steele deal is not going through any additional hardship than they would if it had continued in council. The Council's suggestions (which allow Steele to be more than it would have been in a B1) go to the Planning Commission and come back to Council before the next meeting. Then Council votes. As it stands, there have been no "against" speakers at the Council meeting. The R2 ordinance change allows them to vote without a public hearing. You're NEVER happy.

And I also got the impression that it is not a pro-pit bull discussion but conversation regarding singling out a breed. I was almost attacked by a black lab. Additionally, regarding party in the park - I've never seen a dog muzzled there. Have you? Pit bull or not....when are do you ever see them muzzled? Muzzled or not, if they bite it's a violation of law.

Glorify? Why can't the city just be honest and do what's right with the Steele Mansion? There would have been "NO" votes and this maneuver gives cover to some council people. If there were no votes against it why all this back and forth? I think you know as well as I do friendships were involved.
Tell us how a business in an R2 is able to do more than in a B1, Why have codes in the first place. The PLanning Commission approved something council wasn't in the mood to deal with?

You must not spend much time at PITP many dogs attend. Now let's take a dog that is known to be alittle off and you explain to the parents of that child missing part of their face the the owner was in violation of the law. Do I love dogs? Yes. Do I trust Pit Bulls No.
And many owners that believe they are a weapon. I want to watch this in council.

Should dogs even be allowed at Party in the Park?
This comment sounds like a councilman trying to defend themselves?
I agree the city council doen't want to vote on this.

There are many dogs running lose in Painesville. That said the current law only issued 6 citations in the last two years. per city manager. What's the point people who care about their pets are following the law. The rest could care at all.

As I watch the going on of this mansion I only wonder what other people must go put up with to get a business in Painesville?
What's wrong with these people. They act as if people are beating down the door to locate here. You wonder why downtown is empty? I don't. This bunch proves it!

I agree for what purpose the city intends to bring this back to the planning commission? This city seems to be run by a bunch ofscrewed up power hungry clowns.
I also think Term has apoint about council not wanting to vote on this issue.
They can't even figure out a simple parking ticket.

4:58 Why wouldn't council want to have a public hearing?
Now if your against the Inn you must go in front of the planning commission. Been there done that?

I only hope the owners of the Steel Mansion want to keep chickens! The neighbors on the west side, who seem to be dead set against the Inn start raising Pitt bulls. This could solve all our problems as I do believe council will implode.
Ahhhhhh...... A girl can dream can't she?

You better learn to call out Rita pal.
When you asked if people staying at the Inn could have dinner she only IMPLIED that they could ask that of the planning commission. Listen close. It appeared that it was a yes answer but was it?

city council and rita is why we have all the aliens in painesville, we also have a free taxi service for them. JUST AMAZING.

11:10, what do you mean a free taxi service? I, too, think it is clearly McMahon and council's fault we have all the illegals in Painesville--especially since they virtually advertised on national TV for them, but please explain the free taxi service comment.

I got the impression that that meant a free "EMS" ride out to
Die-Point Hospital in Concord? For even non-emergency reasons.

As a pitbull owner I see no need to muzzle the dogs the people with bad dogs of any breed won't muzzle them anyway all it does is make the good dogs more aggressive

Term 5:15: And yet, the citizens of this town just keep voting the same people in office.

If someone has information and/or stats on this alleged free transportation, then I hope they will come forward with the information now so we can all know what is going on here, and just what we are paying for.

The city is in a catch-22 situation here. If they are called to transport to a hospitial they legally have do.
One solution that for some reason has escaped many is that Laketran could provide route service to the hospital out in Concord.

to 6:50 JIM FODOR has been working on the free taxi service to the doctors at the hospital. the fire chief was to give him a report sometime. this was disscussed at a council meeting some time ago. non- emer -trips to doctors for aliens very costly.

Why don't we just get rid of the damn illegal alliens instead of paying and paying and paying and paying and paying for them? This isn't their country--they have no concern whether they bleed dry our city, county, state or federal governments. We just need to get a workers program in place so we can send the rest of them packing, and let them be a burdon on their own countries already.

Free Taxi service- really?
Where's our Urgent Care facility?
Not "Quick Care" because many insurance companies don't cover the
"Quick Care" facility. What about doctors in Painesville? Do we have any good ones? And now to more waste- The schools have now hired a lawn care service- Wilson Lawn Care service. THe reason is the custodian that was assigned this job can't get it all done. However, the custodian that had the job could. So we are now paying for lawn care AND this custodian- who can't get his jobs done. What a waste of money and the school board approved this!
