"WE'RE AN AMERICAN BAND" g.f.r.r.

This is Lib. Annes comment that I feel should be made into a post.

I have read the site since before Term had it. I always managed to check in at least once a week to learn whats happening. In that time I came to believe Term, Badger, Charterlady and a few more were not racists but a group of very paranoid souls. My family has lived in Painesville for over a decade and are very happy here. We are strong church going, hard working family people that have pretty much voted conservative in elections. Government run health care was an issue that both my husband and I felt was unwarranted.
Then a week before Christmas in 2008 my husband was informed that the division that my husband worked for would be closed as of the first of March for the company that was supplied with was purchasing off shore. China. A layoff in past days meant until business picks up. Not today its as final nail to your employment.
Since June of 2009 my family has not had any health insurance. Thank God that so far none of us has needed it, but it sure has changed our minds about insurance. My husband was told he was eligible for COBRA benefits the problem it would cost $982.00 a month?
My husband is a very proud man and is now at the point of taking any job even at minimum wage if need be to at least feel like a provider again. I made him and myself go up to human services to see what we were eligible to receive his unemployment along with my $340.00 weekly wage made us ineligible to receive anything but $92.00 worth of food stamps a month which I am thankful for.
Now the rub, this is the second time in my life something like this has happened to me. Back in 1995 my father lost his UAW job near Mansfield due to NAFTA well at least dad had enough time to retire. First Mexico now China, where next?
Now tell me should I be angry with people who at least are trying to provide for my family. Or maybe the people who came up with these crazy trade agreements?
Getting gas the other night I watched a Hispanic couple who spoke no English cash in WIC coupons at Redi-Go. Isn't it customary in Mexico for married women with three children to wear a wedding ring? None in site, things must be getting real tight.
As I stood there getting more angry by the second I started to understand, Badger, Charterlady and Term just figured it out sooner than I did. The lifeboat is more then full and the first to be thrown overboard is my family. Yes I feel entitled to at least what illegals receive.

May I be one of the first to wish you well in this struggle. As you seem to say, it is the job loss that brought this about. We need the companies to provide the jobs as well as the workers to provide the labor. Why do we need to allow more and more illegal immigrants to cross the border to take more and more jobs or to receive more and more benefits. That Hispanic woman you mentioned probably gets more assistance than your family. Without immigration reform and the enforcement of verifiable ID's for any job or the receiving of public assistance, more and more Americans will be in the same boat you talk about. Free health, free rent, free food and more and more companies taking advantage of these people and lower wages is just an open invitation for more. Take a look around Painesville and the local area. It's not the big businesses we need to worry about, it is all the little guys like the nurseries and that place off Figgie dr.

It's the jobs. People working means people paying taxes, buying cars, buying houses, buying everything including having health insurance. We need to keep more jobs for Americans and we need the workers as well as the management to work together to keep these jobs.

As you say, your husband would rather work than receive public assistance. That's what made America great. The one's who expect the government to provide everything for them are the problem. Good luck.

I don't even think that the illegals have to show any proof like Lib Anne and her husband would have had to to get public aid, etc. Last I knew, they just have to walk in, say they need help, and get it. We just really have to insist on getting our country back. Can you imagine how much money there would be for everything if they all left? They're draining us dry AND marching on our government.

Term, the following article is in yesterday's Lake Tribune/Recorder.

Man Charged With Assault
by Marian McMahon

Painesville - A man approached a 41-year-old Hispanic man in a vehicle, said he was from immigration and asked for his green card, according to a police report. When the Hispanic questioned the man and asked for identification, he was pepper sprayed in the face.

Police located the man Albert C. Wargo Jr. 27, Nebraska St. Painesville and charged him with assault and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

"It's a crime to impersonate any law enforcement officer, but he didn't show any credentials, he just mentioned he was with immigration. " said Painesville Police Captain Rick Kline.

Since the defendant did not have any type of false identification stating he was with immigration, the charge would be difficult to prove. If there had been any physical evidence, he would have been charged.

"We looked into that also, for the possible charge of ethnic intimidation, and it did not fit the elements of that offense" Kline said "It's possible with more information, but the way that the law is written, it did not fit.

The case was originally set for March 18, the rescheduled for March 25. Since Wargo did not appear, he was snet a notice of a warrant being issued for his arrest.

What about the snowball incident? How many charges have been filed? How many arrests have been made? Laws apply to everyone.

The lady at Redi-Go probably had one or two "anchor babies" children born in U.S. that are American citizens with all the rights the man may have been the husband, boyfriend, father who the government has no idea exists. Sad but along with hispanics, whites, and black all play the no daddy game. Even if some guy is living in the household.

I can't believe that our ridiculous politicians have not even changed the "anchor baby" law yet. Or at the very least added language that says the law was never meant to be used this way, and they are going to stop it now. If it was retroactive, that would be even better. I mean, come on people -- is there anybody in there??!!

You know, maybe the issues right now to the politicians should be to fix up that law, and to go after the businesses who are hiring illegals. That may be much more manageable for them right now. I don't think Obama can take on the whole thing right now, and if he does, he is probably going to legalize them. I think maybe he doesn't want to now, and needs a way out. Also, I don't think our economy can take that hit right now, and they probably are taking that into consideration.

If they went after employers, it would be a slower exit, and the country to slowly take it in stride. Oh, they need to set up a temporary work program for the fields, so it would need to be a 3-tiered push right now.

1. Change the "anchor baby" law.
2. Go after employers
3. Set up a temporary work program for the fields only.

Maybe we should go for those three things right now. What does anybody think? And yes, we have to make sure we are purposefully addressing Republicans AND Democrats, so one party does not take a hit -- otherwise, they will not do it. Almost forgot -- would probably need to be demanding border control, too, yes? Anyway, maybe if we can take some of the pressure off of them, and go at it in increments for now, it would be more possible for them.

Also, as this race heats up between McCain and his opponent, who is very loudly against amnesty, the issue is bound to be out there. It may be a good time to try to get parts of the pie, and start trying to get them to take this in steps.

Lib Anne, you want to know how bad Badger wants you to get back on the road to success? The Republicans want to run a man in this years gubernatorial race that for seven years worked for Lehman Bros. that Wall st. firm that almost took the country down financially? The last year he worked there 2008 he only made $614,892 dollars he won't release his tax records for the previous seven years he was employed by them, woder why? He also wants to eliminate state income tax, great idea ask someone in a state without income tax what they pay for say licence plates?
Anne this will not help you because John Kasich will worry about the people to big to fail instead of your small tribe. God Bless.
Term thanks for letting us vent its been to long letting the conservatives run the message.
Its time to answer in truth, not fear.

As your group pickets Catholic Church's, Social Security offices?
Maybe we will picket at employment staffing agencys that don't check status, along with Banks that except the Matricula Card, Chamber of Commerce offices, known illegal employers.
While you rocket scientist's go picket a church?
Strange that you don't go after the ones I mentioned. Is there a reason?

Make yourself sound good.

Term, can you name one time you were at any place picketing with the Grassroots Rally team? I mean actually picketing or holding a sign and not hiding in the corner of the square. Please let the rocket scientists know when you do plan to show up. Talk is cheap.

I believe the grassroots rally team was at the PITP the last two years. Did you help man the booth????

They met with our local congressman and judge, were you there?

They protested at the Social Security Office in Painesville. were you there?

They protested at Health and Human Services, were you there?

They met with the Sheriffs of Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties, were you there?

They have gone to Columbus to address congress, were you there?

They have lent support to fellow members in Oberlin to try and stop their city council from passing an ordinance to not assist in ANY way and Law enforcement force such as ICE, were you there?

They have been before our County Commissioners many many times trying to get them to stop recognizing the Matricula card, were you there?

They have picketed the 14th Annual Hispanic Leadership Conference at Lorain Community College, were you there?

They meet almost monthly, do you ever attend a meeting?

They protested about Matricula Card and the Census who only had info for the Hispanics at St. Mary's. These peaceful people were denied access to the church but after the ICE raid in Painesville, the Hispanics were supposedly given sanctuary and then they marched from the church to the square dragging our FLAG.

It is the same small group of dedicated members who have done all this and you have yet to lift a finger to help. If you believe in this as strongly as you seem to say, then time to put up or shut up. So unless you start helping or showing up, then I think it is time you get of your high horse.

S.A.W. - are you speaking for the Grassroots Rally Team? Sounds to me like you are trying to cause some friction. Could it be because the Grassroots Rally Team and the community have band together to fight illegal immigration? Because questions are now being asked about the illegal alien problem in Lake County? I appreciate Term posting everything on this blog. He is not afraid to ask the hard questions. And it seems whether he agrees with someone's comments or not the comment is posted, I respect him for that.

Term ,it is my opinion the Grassroots Rally Team did not post the comment by S.A.W.

Please continue doing what you have been doing, educating people.

Well, When the Rally Team started the only question I ever asked was who were your leaders? I was rebuffed? Told it didn't matter? I like to know who I'm dealing with even newspaper reports do. I once spoke at the Gazzebo on the square does that mean I was hiding? I listen and wonder what direction this group wants to take us. Along with joining with the tea partiers? [I thought was a bad idea] What results can they show? Don't take me as critic, but what do you have to show fow all this time and energy?
Plus the fact the only ones I see that give a damn are old farts like myself. You haven't reached young people, have you?

At April 5, 2010 at 4:40 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

The Rally Team won't go after businesses because they have no legal way themselves for finding out which employees are legal immigrants vs. illegal immigrants.

It is the same reason many people are hesitant to join in, a question I have asked on here before, how can you tell just by looking at someone if they are here legally or illegally?

If you cannot tell then how do so many people come up with numbers, like .....Painesville is 10% illegal immigrants?

I check in here from time to hear see what's on the mind of residents. Mostly local but I feel it's a good barometer for what is going on in the big picture. I hear the same concerns in other communities when out doing business; Cleveland, parts of Michigan, Philly, etc.

This morning I read through Lib Anne's story while tuning into the Space Shuttle launch at 6:21 a.m. The announcer mentioned this is one of the last 4 shuttles. After the final Shuttle we will pay Russia $50,000,000 per astronaut to zoom up to the Space Station. Folks this is for the first year, after the first year we will pay $100,000,000 per astronaut.
At the moment there is nothing in the plans to replace the Shuttle. The Constellation is still around but I believe that is in moth balls as it's older than the Shuttle.

Folks we, The USA, have now out sourced the space program and nobody seems too upset by this.

Anybody else see any of these as red flags? Anybody's kid want to be an astronaut these days? What happened?

Term, I drove past the picket on Route 20 and State St. and I saw signs like American Jobs for American Workers and something about the Matricula Card but nothing about the church. Seems to me something was going on at the church that day but I can't recall now. Could that be what the protest was about? I'm sure you know these people, so why not ask?

Protest a church over religion would be a bad move but this was something else. If the church preaches the Gospel from the pulpit, thats one thing. Now if they speak out about politics, that is wrong. Abortion is a Moral issue but immigration reform is a political issue. Also, to have different church bulletins in English and Spanish with different events listed for each doesn't sound very religious. Does this promote unity and diversity or segregate people and further their distrust?

Do you have a leader for the group that goes to council meetings. Or are you just a group who care about what is going on around us? Maybe when they started, they hadn't make any decisions yet. You can put a name on a newspaper article or you can put a face on it when you show up at different events. Maybe they are all leaders. Just a group organized to fight a common cause.

As far as I can see, they do need more help. Spreading the word or helping would do far more than criticizing them though.

9:42: "come out of the dark." Give me a break. When the group was first founded, I did not blame the founder for not coming forward by name. They didn't want anyone at their house, etc. A legitimate concern, I thought. It was just one person who had the idea for the group, and they didn't have a lot of time for press, etc., is the way I remember it. Also, it was the first time anyone had done anything like that in this city. Why would one person take all the heat, and who knows what?

I don't think that that is a legitimate concern. They've held public meetings, including one at the library with the Police Chief and Captain in a public forum. And I believe the founder has been interviewed, by name, in the newspaper. I'm not sure the original founder is the one who is calling all the shots now, but they've done a lot, which is more than most people.

I don't think anyone who would sit on the sidelines and complain, instead of helping them, has much room to talk. I mean, acting like it's some big conspiracy or something. Come on, now.

At April 5, 2010 at 11:43 AM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

What's the big deal Term? They have rallies in the park, a booth at the party in the park, meet at the public library and protest in front of public offices during the middle of the day. They have a web site with info you or anyone else can look up yourself. That's where I get some of my info. It will tell you about upcoming events and there mission statement. So where is the secrecy.

Most people know who you are. Then why did you and do you still use Term instead of YOUR real name. Why do most people here use anonymous or a pseudonym. Why did Madpotter? Hispanics claim they are targeted. A Marine was attacked by 20 Hispanics and you wonder why some don't give out there name, address and phone number. So pseudonyms are OK here but a group that meets, protests and tries to sign up new members out in the open and in public has something to hide. You heard rumors, where here? That's the problem. These are concerned citizens who aren't elected officials or receive public funds so why must anyone of them have to answer to you? Are you required to answer to anyone about this blog?

Ask any member, and they will be glad to give you more information. They have answered some of mine at PITP. Gave me their card too. They will be glad to have you join there group or not. But to tell them they must give out their personal info is way off base. Most reporters you talk about give the paper's address and not their own. Ask Mike about getting threats and he is a Painesville judge.
You complained about violence over the health bill. You don't think there is any threats of violence over immigration. No killings along the border.

This is 11:17. I don't think it's my place to name names here. My own name has certainly been out there, but it's not my place to name anyone else. I don't think anything is any secret, though. I think it's a whole group effort, as far as I can tell and as far as I know. They have meetings and decide things together, as far as I know. The meetings are open to the public and anyone can join the group. As far as "you have heard rumors about this groups founding" -- I think you know exactly who founded the group. I also remember how hard you and one other person tried to hurt the group, and the garbage that was pulled by the two of you in the beginning. And here you both go again.

If you don't want to help them, then don't, but knock off the conspiracy theories. Really. I believe you were even at the public library meeting with the Police Chief as a guest speaker.

For anyone who wants to help the group and not hurt it, you can go to their Web site. They probably have their activities listen there. People need to show up to help them, especially when they are doing a public rally of any kind.

May 16, 2009-May 30, 2009 - Demonstration in front of St Mary’s Church in Painesville. The Mexican Consulate was there to issue Matricula Consular Cards. These cards are not accepted as valid ID by Lake County Sheriff Dan Dunlap or by Painesville Police Chief Gary Smith. Furthermore, the MC Cards were deemed easily forged and not reliable ID by the FBI during their Congressional testimony in 2003. Nevertheless, our own Lake County Commissioners passed a resolution in 2005, to accept these cards as valid ID in Lake County. This resolution was introduced by Commissioner Troy and approved by Commissioners Sines and Aufauldish.

May 28, 2009 - Informational Picket "U.S. Jobs for U.S. Citizens" Thursday May 28, 2009 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Ashtabula Jobs and Family Services 2247 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula Ohio

June 24, 2009 – Rally Team members testify before the Ohio House Judiciary Committee in favor of Ohio HB 184 which among other things mandates Ohio companies use E-Verify for their potential employees to determine legal status in the US.

July 17-19, 2009 - Rally Team booth at the Painesville Party in the Park. Many people stopped by our booth and asked to be added to our contact data base and signed our letter to the Lake County Commissioners requiring them to repeal their 2005 resolution which made it legal to recognize the Mexican Matricula Consular Card in Lake County as valid ID. Both the Lake County Sheriff, Dan Dunlap, and Painesville Police Chief, Gary Smith, do not recognize this easily forged, easily obtained ID card as valid!

July 23, 2009 - Rally Team representatives attended the Cleveland Tea Party Patriots’ demonstration at Shaker Heights High School. About 500 people stood in the rain to protest health care for illegals as well as other concerns with our federal government.

August 1, 2009 – Rally Team representatives attended the Ohio State Tea Party in Columbus, Ohio. A crowd of 8-10,000 people were there and many contacts were made with others interested in stopping illegal immigration.

August 1, 2009 - Rally Team representatives attended an Immigration Workshop at Notre Dame College in Chardon. They were very cordially welcomed by the many nuns in attendance and had a chance to present our group as the fair minded, fact based group of legal citizens that we are.

August 12, 2009 - Rally Team members attend Senator Voinovich’s Community Concern discussion to express outrage that illegal immigrants will receive healthcare benefits under health care bill currently being considered.

August 15, 2009 - Team members spoke on “Breakdown,” Mike Gutierrez’s radio show on WELW against the Lake County Commissioners’ 2005 Resolution which gave validity to the Matricula Consular Card issued by the Mexican Government as proper ID to be recognized in Lake County.

August 13, 2009 - A Rally Team Representative spoke at the Heritage Club meeting at Helriegils Restaurant in Mentor about the Lake County Commissioners’ 2005 Resolution which gave the Mexican Matricula Consular Card validity as ID in Lake County.

Doesn't look like they are hiding anything to me. Even answered why they were at St. Mary's Church. Saw pictures of Hal at a meeting and Tony giving rides to members.

Term, you are just trying to deflect the attention away from your inaction. The grassroots have been visible at all the events. They are out there with their names. They've been interviewed, they have had their photos and names printed in the Tribune. They are standing on the sidewalks with their faces very visible to any cars. They are at least trying to accomplish something and if it isn't happening it is because all the others who are against illegal immigration won't help them out--including you.

I'm with the Term on this one .Maybe I went to the wrong site? All it was was national immigration news. It said they were a group of highly motivated people? But who are they. Alone with some of the group they are affilated with. Can't say I feel that comfortable with afew mentioned. Why do you even need them? My boss claims this group is the brainchild of the head of the Lake County Republican Party. maybe thats why no one is talking?
I'll continue to get my immigration information from this site. At least I know the motive here. Keep everyones feet to the fire including theirs.

TERM, so you don't agree with all of VD's policies, which means you agree with some. You stand up for VD who fights for illegals rights and you denegrate a group trying to save Painesville. I thought that was your ultimate goal. Save Painesville. I have defended you so many times in the past to those who criticized you and your motives. I guess you had me snowed. I don't know what your motives are, but you have maligned a very good group of people. You have been accused in the past of just starting conspiracies, and now I know what they meant. I am disappointed in you. I am hurt. I am really sad.

While the grassroots have been very public, there are reasons they might want to keep some portion of their lives anonymous. Like where they live. Veronica Dahlberg can put herself out there because she knows she has nothing to fear physically from us. We are not violent and she knows that. Where as the anti illegals don't have that luxury. Every time we stand on a corner and put ourselves out there we put our safety at risk. Especially those of us who live in this situation 24/7. I expected more out of you, TERM.

Every ounce of my energy goes to fighting the illegals and saving this country for me, my children, my grandchildren, and yes, you and yours, TERM. I don't have the energy to defend myself against you. It is just not worth it. Take a bow. You can win this fight. I am going back to fighting the illegals. You must be proud of yourself.

Looks like the mystery of the St. Mary's protest turns out to be a protest against the The Mexican Consulate being there to issue Matricula Consular Cards. ID's are what part of the Catholic Faith? Missed that in PR class. St. Mary's, time to stick to the scriptures and skip the politics. We all seem to hate that church in Kansas, don't we?

One other question, did you or anyone else give their name when they spoke at the gazebo in the square? I am sure they gave their name just like you do at city council meetings.

Term, you said "I have heard many rumors about the groups founding and who is calling the shots." Your friend said "Come out of the dark."

Well, they aren't "in the dark" or anywhere near it, and the only people starting rumors about the founder of the group and who may be calling the shots is you and your friend, just as you have done from the very beginning of the group.

If you want to know something, ASK THEM. Until then, quit making trouble where none exists.

People need to take The News-Herald to task, too, for not covering their events. I also think that a couple of the events they DID cover were printed with a slant against the Rally Team, and FOR the illegals. I thought they had a real "nose in the air" attitude against what they thought were the "prejudiced" ralliers. And do they put notices of their events in the paper? I don't think so.

If you don't want to help them, then get out of their way. . . or learn how to speak Spanish, because you are going to need to. We'll be a Spanish country soon enough if all these people are legalized, or if all these people are allowed to keep having legal babies here. You're cutting off your nose to spite your face.

And, Term, that has been you and your friend's big conspiracy theory all this time -- that the group was the idea of Dale Fellows? Oh brother.

You are way off base if you think Dale Fellows is a member of this group, Term. Again, more conspiracy theories. Disagree protesting the Matricula Card at a church, so be it. Complain that you must know who the members are and if they don't tell you, they are doing something wrong.

So come clean and answer two questions here. Yes or No

1. Do you know at least 4 or 5 members of the Rally Group personally and could you ask them any questions without calling them a lier?

2. Have you ever been to a meeting where any of the events they have done been planned?

I already know the answers but you seem to like to make accusations and yet don't even go to any of their meetings. You keep implying that something is sinister about this group when you could simply ask a member a question instead of spreading rumors. You claim to be against illegal immigration but keep trying to malign a group that is fighting this cause daily.

Why?

We know you have a bug up your butt because the Republicans have an office in the Senior Center. You aren't the only one. Seems Mr. Troy tried to stop and objected to a certain Republican event being held there too. Wonder why Democrat Troy would be against a Republican candidate having something at the Republican office that they pay rent.

A little info for the Rally site.

You need to scroll to the end of the page to see events and pictures.

The first part deals will problems caused by illegal immigrants all over the country and some things before lawmakers.

At April 6, 2010 at 3:11 PM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

2:19 Term: This is 11:29 and I am not speaking for the group, nor am I in the position to do so. I WAS in at the very beginning of the group, and there was never any mention of Dale Fellows or the Republican Party. So if the idea for the group was anyone's other than the founder's, and you know very well who the founder was, I do not know about that, I have no evidence of that, I don't think that that is true, and if it was, I do not care. You caused all that trouble over that. I will say again, oh brother.

And again with your conspiracy theories. Just because I didn't deny it, means nothing. I am not the founder. I am not authorized to speak for the founder. I do not know. I doubt that was the case, though. I would have to ask to be sure. I have not been an intricate part of the group for a while because of personal limitations. Again, if you want to know, why don't you ask the person that can tell you.

As far as the group being tied up with the Tea Party, I do not like that either. I thought it was a bad idea then, and I still do. I will not, however, cut off my nose to spite my face as I spoke of earlier. I just hope they don't derail the entire effort, which I think is possible. At the very least, if I were in charge, I would instruct them to show up ONLY for the illegal issue and leave the costumes and the rest of their issues at home.

And by the way -- as far as accomplishments go, I attribute the commissioners reversal of policy about the Maticula cards (they now say they will not accept them as valid I.D.) as a direct accomplishment of the Rally Team. So if the entire two-part listing that was posted earlier was not enough for you, then there is one more example.

Great some civilized aqnswers.
When the Rally group first got started I thought it was the greatest idea.[Still do}
When I asked who were the leaders and backers were I was rebuffed? I wish I kept the emails.
When I and a few others some that are on this site questioned again . This time we were told that they would block access to the site. Fine.
If Mr. Fellows had anything to do with the formation great! I just didn't care for the secrets, whatever the reason. I heard rumors it was started by the John Birch Society, An unautorized Milita group. They wanted a newspaper to do a story and were told sorry we have to put a name to you. All and All it seemed to take off well ands was pretty well organized.
I thought it was another "rumor" that they were going to picket St.Marys along with joining in with the tea party group both I thought were very poor ideas.
If there is a fault I considered with some of the members I know is although they are great people, there never wrong. Our way or the highway. Blind of anything that may solve an issue. Sorta the way Dahlberg attacks the issue. I know of at least three people you lost from the picketing at the church, not really winning hearts and minds.
I fear the Commissioners are only giving lip service [All three of them] time will tell.
I personally was upset with the pickets at St. Marys and sorry but I guess thats where my anger erupted from. Sorry the PERCEPTION of Churches is good. You lose bullying churches.
To make sure this Amnesty doesn't happen , Well thought out reasons, no gimicks, no spitting, no signs the show our President as Hitler. Only common-sense Americans that want to save there country. The media will use every stupid thing that is done against this cause. Let the proponents look like the screaming nuts.
Again best of luck to all of you.

Seems like the members of this group are being held to some higher standard that Term says they should.

I guess members of this group can only be involved in one issue. If some of the members are also involved in other organizations, Term and some of the rest of you have a problem. How many of you are a Democrat or a Republican and also are concerned about our school board, our city council, our city administration, our crime rate, our health care, our taxes, our troops, our poor, our youth, our retirement, or anything else a concerned citizen should be involved in, including illegal immigration.

This is a free country and some people support some things and some are opposed to others. They vote for some candidates and against others. They donate to certain organizations or attend the church of their choice. They could be members of the Sierra Club, NRA, Rotary Club or even the Boy or Girl Scouts. Just to single out a group and it's members because they happen to ALSO have an opinion on another important issue confronting all of us is very narrow minded.

Term, you are a Democrat and a Catholic. Perfectly fine because that is your choice. Now if someone here told you that you can't have your own opinion on say health care, taxes, school issues or be a member of a union, the Knights of Columbus, or even the John Birch Society if you wanted and mentioned above. Then they told you the only reason you can't do anything else is that you are keeping secrets or they heard a rumor. When did the average citizen have to disclose personal info or the groups they belong or the meetings they attend?

How do we know it is actually you posting and using the name Term. For all we know it could be Veronica. The protest was against what was happening at the church and not even during any services. You are angry about that, I get it. But when you mention secrets, rumors, an anti-Democrat must have started the group (DF), John Birch Society, or that the local Grassroots Rally Team of Ohio marches around with signs that show our President as Hitler, you are no better than VD. You are no better than the R's that you say know it all and shout lies.

Now I single out Term because he is the one who puts his name on the posts. Not my intention, but hard to talk to anonymous. As far as the Tea Party goes, just maybe you forget what took place with Bush. Not condoning either side but name calling doesn't solve any problems. Not just only by one party. He said, they said, they all are, he's an idiot, he's a Marxist come mostly from the extreme of either side and not from a group as a whole.

Things I do know is that extremists make the news reports and not the average guy. All war is bad, but we only see the tragedy and not the accomplishments such as free elections or women's rights. So if you support TRUE immigration reform that we all can live with, then we need to stop casting this group in a negative light. People will usually just remember the bad, even if it is just a rumor. Try helping.

Otherwise, you are just playing into Veronicas hands. Worse than protesting a church.

Some of the things you said almost make it sound as if you are dating V.D.

Just kidding, Just KIDDING. :>)

You are still doing everything you can to derail the group. Now you are starting a rumor about the John Birch Society. Add that to your Dale Fellows rumors. And I do believe that I kept some of those horrible e-mails you and your friend sent. So don't be acting like anybody did anything wrong by blocking you and your friend's emails. I may have actually been the one that suggested that they block them to stop the CRAZINESS.

As far as the Tea Party people go, I have no defense of them, and I have nothing to do with them. If I had to stand in a picket line with them to stop amnesty, AND that was the only issue they were dealing with that day, AND they were behaving, I would do it. I will say again, if I had any influence, they would not be affiliated with the group in any official capacity. If they wanted to show up under the above mentioned criteria, with nothing to identify them with the Tea Party, then their numbers may help accomplish the issue. I think this should go for the entire nation, not just Painesville's fight, but it's not up to me. If they bring the Tea Party into this fight as the Tea Party, I think there is a chance that will help push AMNESTY through.

The three people who have chosen not to be affiliated with the group because they picketed St. Mary's probably never got off their butts to do anything anyway. I hope they do something on their own for the cause. If they don't, they ALSO will be living in a Spanish country. Let them try that on for size. As for you, you never did help.

I have a lot more I could say. Let it go, Term. Let it go. You have made it clear that you have no intentions of helpling the group. Now you need to quit hurting it.

And by the way, the person can correct me if I am remembering incorrectly, but I had many hours of conversation with the founder when we were setting up and laying the groundwork for the group. What I remember is that the group was started very quickly on the spur of the moment by the founder in response to the illegals holding a rally for amnesty in Painesville. I believe that's why they picked the name Grassroots Rapid Response Rally Team. I think the name has been shortened now. It was one brave person, and I never heard the name Dale Fellows mentioned. I don't think Dale Fellows had anything to do with it, and someone who sounds like they know what they are talking about, said earlier that Dale Fellows had nothing to do with the group. I had been writing in the "Letters to the Editor" section in the local newspaper about the amnesty/illegal issue, and doing other things for the cause, so when I heard that someone was starting a group, I tracked them down and joined and helped. They were so dedicated to the cause that they were ready to stand in front of Victoria Place by themselves with a sign, if necessary.

No conspiracies anywhere to be found.

So was St. Mary's hiding anything, who knows. The news reported the people in the basement. It is all over the news about the bad priests in the church all over the world. Now this Mexican card thing. I thank them for letting us know what was going on at the church. Not everyone goes to that church.

Makes me wonder if they are hiding anything else.

A church is not a priest,or pastors home. It is the House of the Lord.
Certain respect comes with that. There were no known felons in the church if there had the police would have entered.
At the start of this conversation I though Term was so far off base. No, I now understand.

1:58: If you are going to let one post from one person keep you from an entire group and any future rallies, then I doubt that you were ever at a rally to begin with. If we lose this fight, there will unfortunately not be two Americas when it is done. There won't be a SPANISH America for the ones who didn't fight and an America as we know it for those who did. Those of us who fought are going to lose right along with those of you who did not. And unfortunately there are too many like you. It makes the possibility of winning this battle unlikely. Hope you like your mass, or whatever service you attend, in Spanish.

1:58pm, for gosh sakes. Get this straight once and for all. The picket was against the mexican consular van that was parked at the church issuing the matricula card that only illegals need. The picket was on the corner of Rt. 20 and State Street. Not exactly at the door of the church. It was clear it was against the matricula card. And I doubt you were ever at any of the previous rallys so your absence won't be missed at future rallies.

Again, the founder can correct me if I am remembering incorrectly, but as far as the John Birch Society handing out literature at one of the rallies, this is my recollection:

At the first or second rally, someone WAS handing out the John Birch Society literature, but this had nothing to do with the group. When it came to the founder's attention, they asked the person to please stop, and they did.

Nobody thought the John Birch Society had anything to do with it, and it did not. And Term knows that. He's saying he heard that rumor, but he's the one who is starting that rumor.

The Rally Group is trying to save our country. I really suggest that people join and help. If not, then get out of the way, and fight on your own. Term is still stupidly fighting the group instead of the illegals. I would not suggest that as a course of action.

So to understand this when the group first started the founders did not want to be known? Someone from the John Birch Society handed out literature at the first few meetings until he was told to stop.
This one is so easy!
Term started the grassroot group and kept it anonymous, along with passing out Birch literature. Only to make the leader and the local GOP look bad.
He's a genius! Carl Rowe couldn't have fabricated a better plan.
Dems get Term to Washington.
Probably if you dig hard enough you will find out that he is also a "coyote" and smuggled all these illegals into Painesville to hatch this plan, along with a secret business where he has them all work.
Funny, in the past he always had positive things to say about the group, even was positive in the posts here, let it be known where your rallys were and posted it on his site.
Sorry I forgot, this is all part of his grand plan.
Now how did he get the city to invest in that power plant in southern Ohio? Another plan he came up with to make the city look stupid.
Instead of questioning him, maybe some of you should question yourselves?

Funny no mention of socialism when they were running the show. I can't stand Term's or his stand on immigration but it has become very funny and comforting to watch you attack him.
I'm willing to bet soon we will rather live next to illegals than the likes of you. You understand perfectly about elephant dung, thats about all you people have left.
Closeters time to have another rally closet people I'd like to see all 12 of you again! Maybe HOLA Magazine will get the news out for you its seems like no one else will.
Then maybe HOLA will have one in Concord?

Since we are discussing Republicans now, was it just me or was it ackward that Sara Palin wore a Black Leather jacket at the McCain rally right after the news broke about the Republican S&M payment to that club broke? As Term has said you can't make this stuff up.

After following this story and trying to figure the ins and out. Todays News-Herald might have provided somer clue what has been discussed here. The Cincinnati Tea Party had "Joe the Plumber" speak to the crowd.
"We need to get behind real Americans,"he said warning the crowd not to let"a bunch of liuberal pansies" take away their rights.
"Illegal immigration?" he said "Put the fence up and start shooting."
Well Joe should we start shooting the people coming across the border, or all the upstanding American businessmen who provide these people with jobs? Should we treat the infection,or destroy what germs that are causing the infection? Joe and his buddies must be having a brain fart.
Consider the source.
