"TAKE ME HOME COUNTRY ROADS"

To Where?
By now most of have seen the road the city has built off Jackson St. across from Corvin Dr. Known in circles as the "road to nowhere."
The city manager commented at the last meeting that we were waiting for over 19million dollars in funding from the state to build a new interchange to Rt.44 and a bridge over the CSX railroad tracks. I can only hope the city receives these funds or the question then becomes, what now?
Did the road construction make it more practical for the state to grant the money?
Would it have made more sense to have the funding in place before we built that road.

SOMETHING NEW! Quick hitters

Wonder who will take John Platz place on the Lake County Board of Elections?
Well, I bet John Murphy will be surprised?

Basement flood this weekend? Well your in good company, former city leader basement did. Bet it takes more then 3 minutes to cleanup.

It appears the Painesville Police has investigated the incident with arrests forthcoming.

Term, Have you noticed the 'special interest' who have gobbled up the property that will become the new interchange to Rt.44?

This would probably be a good time to ask Paul Hach just what his plans are concerning his backyard? To bad the rest of us can't do that.
This town is just plain corupt with all these inside deals.
I'll give you 3 guess who will be the winning bidder on the hospital site? Directly or indirectly.

I'm with 12:53. I think if we knew what was really going on here -- inside deals, etc., our heads would probably start spinning. I have felt that that is probably the case for a long time now. I would really like all this to take us to a place where all these things are investigated, so we could look into the things that seem suspicious and really find out one way or the other.

I wish 11:57 and 12:53 would come out and say who it is they are talking about, though, as I do not know.

Do you care to clarify?

The sign in the park got damaged after a guy driving a stolen car from somewhere around Willoughby, driving on 20 crashed into it. Oh, yeah, the guy got arrested, just figured that some of you would have figured that our police were not doing their jobs.

Ok, now, some of you find out reasons why this is the fault off the City. JT

JT. What blog. are you reading? Damage caused by a traffic chase, who blamed anyone?
Maybe you should be concerned with the money we owe amp-ohio
Maybe you should be concerned about 19 minute times to your neighborhood?
Maybe you should be concerned about the sump pumps running, and the flooding in parts of the city.
That what most of us are concerned about. That is what we blame the city for.
Lets not even bring the school board up and the job they do. Whos fault are these problems?

JT. along with 7:52? Who complained about the sign? "Now some of you will find a reason to blame the city." "Why did Rita put that sign there?"
To both of you there are enough real issues to concern us, without these two. If you think the issues here are false or unimportant state your reasons why it not a problem if we owe 3 million dollars or its O.K. to wait 19 minutes for an ambulance.
Basements flood ,hey its only water.
I believe the safety forces do a great job in this city. That doesn't mean I'm O.K. with mob violence or waiting 19 miuntes for emergency help. JT. Please feel free to be a guest poster.

TERM, first lets say that I did not say that anyone complained about the sign. The first poster made mention that the sign was "falling over" and so I said what had happened to it. I sarcastically threw it out there for the upbeat and positive folks here to start the conspiricy threories that the City had some part in it, or should have prevented it somehow, 7:52 got the humor in it.

Also I have never said that the issues are not important, they absolutly are. I do not agree with the crabbing about the problem and being negative about the problems. Take pro-active stance and try a positive approach to solving the problem is all I have ever said.

Calling the City Manger out in fictional fabels and ridiculing her sure did not make her receptive to your plight has it? The answer is no. If you came into my business and treated me the way that people have treated her, I would not deal well with that situation either. I may be positive but I am not a pushover.

And to Mr. "Killer", my post said "Ok, now, some of you find out reasons why this is the fault off the City. JT" That sounded more like a challenge from me to find the Cities fault in the incident rather than anyone blaming anyone. I guess I read it from left to right instead of right to left. JT

Further JT I just dont understand why you continue to visit this blog and complain about all us negative people. You have your own blog to be upbeat and say whatever it is you want. Is it because no one reads your blog so, you need to ride Terms coatails? You can feel how you want but Terms blog gets viewed and many people are reading it which in the end JT is a positive thing in a round about way. I'm sorry JT shut-up and go back to your own blog and stop yelling at people on here and calling them names now thats not too positive is it? I guess you need help following your own advise. I think JT does not understand what those of us who have lived here a long time and who have had to fight this city have been through. I think JT must also not understand everything that has gone on in this city for the last 20 years (at least) and how messed up it has been/is.

JT must also not understand how hard everyone here has fought and fought, in every way possible, and have gotten nowhere.

Fact is, JT, this blog IS the first thing that has ever worked. And if you watched the last council meeting, you would see that this is the first time that there was the beginning of a decent share of information forthcoming from the city manager and council.

Term doesn't seem to mind you, and it's his blog, so who am I to say, but you are bugging the crap out of ME. Seems you have no idea what has gone on in this city and just how big of a fight it has been/is.

I don't want to rip you to shreds like the other blogger, but I wish you would go away, too. Doesn't seem to me that you have the slightest concept of what is taking place here. Or maybe you just don't want to. There is some important business being discussed here, and it seems to me that you are here just to cause trouble and to get in the way.

to 12:38, you have been fighting for 20 years????, that is BS, for many years I attended council meetings and month after month I was the only resident that showed up.

The reason we have the current people in control is because for years most residents didn't care a bit, it has only been in the last 3 years that anyone has gotten worked up over anything.

The people of this city let Hada run it for 28 years unchallenged, good luck now, we are getting what we deserve for ignoring him for years.

Hey 4:38 pm. Great that you could sit through that many council meetings some of us work nights. Been here 25 years and have to tell you until the Lester Nero mess I thought things were humming along. I also remember when we had a homeless guy runfor council and some other pretty unsavory characters. At that time Hada, Delamotte and Horvath seemed like a good vote. Then the curtain was slowly pulled back and the jig is up! There are days I didn't know if I should be writing letters to the school board, the News Herald, Columbus, the FBI or city council. Liked it better when I didn't know all the sorted details and mess this city is in.
Maybe the city manager should stick to making chili.

Yes, I have been fighting for almost 20 years, you nasty jerk. I, too, have had extenuating circumstances and have not been able to attend a lot of the council meetings, but I HAVE attended some over the years, and YOU were not the only one there.
That certainly does not mean that I have not been fighting long and hard against these horrible people. I think that MOST people do not care, and that is why we are in this mess. Plus, Hada and McMahon put on a pretty good show if you are not looking too close. Hopefully, more people are paying attention now and listening to what we are saying. People are organizing now, though, thanks to this blog, and as 5:00 says, I think the jig is about to be up. So hold on to your holier-than-thou shorts or panties, 4:38.

To 5:00:
I know what you mean about not knowing which entities should be involved, including the FBI. Before all this is over, I personally would like to see all these people out of office and all the things that people have wondered about for years, including possible "inside deals" investigated.

And as for your question, I guess all it would take is conversation with the homeowner, what he was told to do, and who actually did the work. But for all of the nonsense and vengefulness she does, as you have seen firsthand, nothing is ever done to her..SHE IS PROTECTED by the powers to be.

He continues to call people names ect and claims he is for Painesville and will only be positive and from what I have seen him write on here he is not too positive. Futher Term and anyone step in here but, we have all heard things about Steel Mansion and the owner and sad to say most of not good. Where there is smoke there is fire. Term, I did some research since the owner of Steeles Mansion is coming out the woodwork-lol. I'm not going to touch on the Mansion because its a mess. I read that story in the news herald here is the thing none of what he said adds ups. He served for 15yrs ok. Lets do some math- 31 first child was born 15yrs ago in ohio. He has been working for Killer B Movies since 1991, so that means if he searved from the day he got of highschool it would of ended in 1997 kinda hard hun. Now lets get to Greg owner of the Enclave and fact from the story in the News Herald stated he is the owner Greg states otherwise and he has used his real name on everything he has posted to the petition to "save the mansion" and the story in the paper. I checked business filings on the Ohio Secretary of State guess what no transfer the owner agent and contact info still in Gregs's name, when you purchase a business they transfer that stuff. Therefore I really dont think Greg is making any of this up. Lastly Term for all the stories that have been heard about this person there is one fact him and funny most people seem to have a common thread to their stories him. Could all of these people have it wrong?

"Horses, pumbing man they got you covered around here"...that is hilarious. Last year I was cited for some nonsense involving "vegetation" among other things, I won't give too much information cause then she will show up at my house again to seek vengence on me. Anyway, I learned that she had a horse boarding business and after the complaints I heard from everyone else about her zoning practices, I came up with an idea. I figured, you know what I going to take a drive to her farm and see if she is as much as a stickler with her own place as she is with everyone else in the city. I called about boarding a horse (used a bogus name of course) and scheduled an appointment to visit. Well I won't go into too much detail other than to say, the skinny white guy dumping garbage into the a burn barrel with smoke pouring out it was very attactive and maybe she should be as much as a stickler with her own property as she is with the people in our city.

I agree with JT. It sounded like someone wants to blame the sign on the city somehow. (see SG)
As for concerns, I have some but I tend to keep my nose in MY OWN neighborhood and not be the armchair politician others are.
Thats why we have elections not dictators.
I am not concerned about a 19 minute response time as that is not the case in my neighborhood. I DID my homework before I bought. I knew where things were located.
I dont have sump pumps running and if I did I have the sense to know it's the developers fault NOT councils. So quit gripping aabout council. They have gone over backward to get them help and MOST of the residents are satisfied.
If you NEED to place blame, blame the voters. We control who we want so stop gripping when things dont go your way. SG

You me and everyone else can do nothing about the issue, you are correct there. The onwer purchased the property knowing the condition and knowing what needed to be done. If he looses his investment whose fault is that his own. He stated at the meeting he had investors ready to go ect. and yet nothing has happened. I did know he gave the city the run around they gave him ample time to fix the issue's I feel they bent over backwards hoping what he said is true and prolonging it as long as they could. You feel its a sideshow I feel its an example for where Painesville could be headed. Further Term do you remember the exchange between him and the City Manager? Now really do you think any deal was make or do you think he did as he wanted and is trying to point the finger to discredit her? " He wrote the contract himself, stating that it would be paid off within ten weeks of signing. Then, with me going in and out of hospitals with pneumonia, heart attack and eventual surgery and trying to at least think coherently that took up alot of time. Then promising just another three weeks, another three weeks and so forth, and me trying to be the trusting nice guy, it has come to this long. Attorneys have to get paid to sue (we have medical bills) and there has to be real viable property to put a lien on (there really isn't. "

I am at a complete loss about the Steele Mansion, who owes what, who did the pumbing you seem to know a whole lot more than I do.
The city along with the City Manager, and Judge were more then fair with the property owner, never said they weren't.
I believe council people? Thats where I got the 19 minute response time to a call on Chestnut St. Our units at the time were at Tri-Point. You should be worried about the response times if the units are out of position you could be waiting 19 minutes in an emergency.
As far as the sign show me where anyone blamed the sign on the city? I wish that was the biggest problem around here.
The city sets the rules for the developers, and oversees what they do. My question to the city is simple. There concerned if your sump pump works every five minutes? Where did this number come from? So if your pump works every eight minutes its alright? 24 times a day?

To SG remarks, "Do they have the same codes as Painesville? No they dont. You need a job or a life". The property is either in Chesterland or Gates Mills, and yeah I'm pretty sure they have zoning codes just like we do and probably stricter for that matter.

And sorry, I have both a job and a life, maybe you need one. My issues here lay with the fact that you have a vengeful building inspector that goes out of her way to mess with people with piddly violations, when her own property looks like it is in shambles...sound likes a hypocrite to me, maybe practice what you preach??? I had a friend of mine who had to repaint HIS ENTIRE HOUSE due to peeling paint here there, but the house next to the building inspector's own office was one big paint peel. Or better yet drive down other streets in the city, absolute disaster areas, does she mess with them, heck no,I wonder why..selective enforcement maybe??? Just like Term's house, did it need painted, maybe, but it was nowhere near as bad any of the other houses in the area that 10X worse than than his. But I'm sure none of them run a blog and posts negative (but truthful) remarks about city officials and her selective enforcement practices.

I drove past the other day and it appeared portions of the roof caved or maybe it was just me seeing things. I don't know what has been done with it or what has transpired in court. I heard the owner had some sort of rebuilding plan, but have never seen any work crews there. How long has this house been in limbo..years..we got several brand new schools built in the last several years, but can't fix this house. It's nothing but an eyesore..eminent domain..tear it and be done with it.

Maybe if the owner started to fix it when he first bought it there would of been a chance. I too read the article in the News Herald it bothered me quite a bit. He is all about giving to the poor and the needy and did not pay for that business? If he cant pay for that then there is no way he can pay to fix that place its a wreck. Whoever posted the remarks has already said it wasn't true and there were never any visits other than a he said she said bit from someone who had had prior dealings there. Well now it appears this person has now began bothering their local pd wanting heads and butts. Give it a rest already, they have better things to do than this nonsense. All this has turned into now is a headhunting venture of paybacks for you.

Maybe you should look at what they alleged and take some advice from it. Hold yourself to the same standard as you expect people of the city you deal with, many who are on limited incomes and don't have the money to fix everything. Take some advice and grow some thicker skin already.

GIVE IT A REST ALREADY!!!!

Mental distress from stalking,,maybe you should look up the definition for that. NO ONE CAME TO YOUR PLACE TO SNOOP, can you hear me now..I repeat NO ONE CAME TO YOUR BARN. Unless maybe they Google Earth your place, is that now a crime..THEIR STALKING ME!!! I think you have a lot of mental issues you need to deal with and paranoia is at the top of it. I wonder if you would have felt the same way if they had actually offered to board there.

Well, I heard the inspector is looking for me..is offended by my postings. Well, while I'm annoyed with your nonsense and peddly zoning issues with my place, I would never stoop that low to seek you out. I have friends who have known you for years and when I got cited last year, I mentioned it to friends who chuckled, saying "isn't that the pot calling the kettle black, you should see her place". I can't stand hypocrites, people who hold other people to higher standards they themselves can't adhere to. So quit wasting people times trying to find out who I am. However, if you start to harass me for nonsense cause you find out who I am, you can answer for your actions in front of council, the media and maybe even my attorney.
