With all the negative things in the economy, I'm hearing good news coming from Colony Lumber. Anybody out there want to share?

See this site continues to have posts like this without giving any information. Now the "insiders" get to go ahead and bash whatever it is until the all-knowing term reveals this "horrible atrocity" to us. It will already have been smeared when the truth finally comes out.

I don't want to be a rumor spreader and am checking into it as we speak, but word I have is that Crossroads did buy the property. Their plans are what I am waiting to hear before I say anything. JT

Good thing they didn't decide to buy next to Argone Apt. It could be a field day for the kids.. People think "better in Mentor" They came to Painesville

The plan was in the paper, it is going to be like a mall for services, it will bring a lot of small places together, wont bring much work or money to town, due to the fact they will be no-profit services.

and how many did Colony Lumber hire and are now out of work?

Don't forget the residual effect here. When a Superbowl is in town it is not the game that brings money to the local economy but the residual effect. Eateries, hotels and businesses all benefit. Long term, who knows really what the positive outcome will be, but it could also be a draw for other services to come to the City if they see a "positive" movement here. JT

It will bring the income taxes of the employees and anything is more than what they got from Colony Lumber

It will bring more "troubled" individuals into town for their freebie treatments.

Maybe it would be a better idea if Painesville went out and got a grant to tear it down, seems like a good idea at other sites.
