THE BLOGS. "MAN OT THE YEAR"

The First Annual "Man of the Year Award"

Michael T. Victor
President of Lake Erie College
"...innovative thoughts and an enthusiam for the future."

What this man has brought to the community in the short time he has been here is unbelievable. Everything from higher enrollment, new classes, "forensic Psychology" yes evev NCAA\ Football.
A facelift of the whole campus, upgrades at the equestrian center. I have to wonder when he sleeps?

The most important thing he has done is welcomed the community into the college. For most of my life here in town it seemed the two entities operated in a vacuum, Mr. Victor seems to truly want to change that.
With Mr. Victors leadership Painesville and Lake Erie College will become synonymous.

I have said it for years that Painesville would be a great college town. Small out of the way, but still close to everything. I agree that Mr. Victor has made great strides in many areas and as I drive down Mentor ave. and see Founders Court, the old Hershey House apts., where so many bad things happened, turned into a college dorm setting. I know it is one very small example, but, I look at it as a commitment to this City. Soon we will see the renovation of Jack Britt field and surrounding areas to match the caliber of a such a college. Hats off to Lake Erie College and Mr. Victor! JT

how was the voting held for this? Where were the ballots? Who else was nominated? Sounds like a good choice was made, but who got to vote?

Hey JT you need to head back over to your site as nothing has changed there for a couple days. Not too many posts on your site, no takers on that poll either.
Positively interesting how you find your way here.

Two posts up, thanks for visiting the site. Since you know about the poll you have been there, hope you liked it. But this is a man of the year pick that TERM made, it's not about me, and I think he made a great pick. JT

jt your comment just sounds a bit condescending or
passing judgement
guess that is the problem I don't know jt and jt has no idea who I am
maybe if we had to put our names and faces behind our comments it might hold more water
would be nice to read, post and relax but we do a pretty good job whipping everybody to a froth around here
positively unavoidable and that is a good thing for residents who used to live in Apathy Heights.

would also like to add:

Mr Victor has made a sincere effort to patronize local businesses in Painesville
for that I am deeply grateful........
