"GREEN" PAINESVILLE CITY SCHOOLS

With everyone talking about conserving energy, can someone explain why at high noon on a sunny day all the lights are on at the new schools? Yes even Chestnut St. The school board will be over a million dollars short of revenue this year, why leave the lights on? Maybe they are solar powered or there is another good reason.

Now, PCLS that's another story.
Here is something people should really be upset about.
There is soooo much waste with those lights on. What is that contraption the state required the schools to use to turn over the air in the buildings? I don't know what it is called or what exactly it does but I would like to know why it runs day and night. No one in the building over night, and during the summer the custodians work days in the hot building.
Taxpayers were fools to vote for new schools and more foolish to vote for the recent tax levy.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on you again.
Please not a third time.

I think the "fool" is the one that leaves the lights on the parking lots at noon. TERM>>

Have you never built anything, everything is not done yet, give them time to install the timers.

Why don't you be a good person and call the school board and let them know something is wrong, I'm sure they would be happy to know about it.

Believe me, the lights are off in the boards members heads.

But, I bet you won't call and tell them the light's are on in the daytime, goes to show everyone what kind of person KAREN is.

Anonymous, this goes more to show everyone what kind of person you are than it does KAREN. How do you know she or anyone else hasn't called officials about the lighting problem. Unless you are a council person or other city official, you would not be privy to that information. If you are a council person, why not stop being so negative at people looking for answers and start doing the job of serving the people of Painesville in a responsible way.

If you think, council or a city official, would know if someone call the school board, it goes to show what kind of person you are.

KAREN, or anyone else shoudn't have to call the school board. Ihave called twice during the school year. The lady on the phone said she would take care of it. Different person on the second call said she would let them know at Chestnut St. School.
