PAINESVILLE JULY 24, 2016

BULLETIN:

IT HAS COME FROM VERY RELIABLE SOURCE THAT A MAJOR LEADERSHIP CHANGE WILL BE MADE IN THE PAINESVILLE CITY ADMINISTRATION LEADERSHIP.

EXPECT TO SEE A BIG CHANGE. IT IS HOPEFUL THAT THE COUNCIL COMMUNICATES THE WHYS TO US AS WELL WHAT'S IN OUR FUTURE

AND TO TODAY'S HEADLINE;

Painesville

LOCAL ECONOMY IMPROVING

The Economic Development Department is working hard to succeed

This is due to the possibility of a new tenant for the CORE building on Renaissance Parkway.

Bringing 250 employee's as well as over 6,300,000 to our economy and better than $125,000 in income tax to Painesville. This should help with the offset of the Lake County Health Department relocating.

Gee, Tomorrow's Headline could be fascinating? Hope it doesn't scare business people away?

I have finally decided to promote a Mayor form of government for Painesville. Our council has proven over and over they are incapable of even  picking apples off a tree. Let alone someone to run this place. See the way it is here you only have to keep four people happy and maybe if your entrusted with running this place. Look around at the improvements? Then take the time to look back at the last five years of our former city manager. Can't wait to see who's up next? Doug Lewis he world be a fool to take it, plus he's happy right where he's at. Never mind council overlooked him last time. Council better not TOY with us this time ,or I will spill the beans.

To some employee's you can go back to your rude and lazy ways.

To council you still have loose lips on council and you can no longer blame Andrew Flock. But your telling someone and their telling me. Hell, I even know who and how they voted. No use telling you they have deniability.

No this leadership job should be taken from council and put into the residents hands! MAYOR TIME

Democrat's and emails?
It pretty obvious that Russia hacked into the Democratic Emails and gifting them to WikiLeaks, but why? Let's connect a few dot's first Donald Trump likes to be looked at as the American Putin. Last week Trump changed the RNC platform to be more Russia friendly. Later his claim that maybe NATO would not come to Eastern European neighbors in an attack? I thought this was the guy who didn't telegraph what he would do? And finally his tax returns if the American people had a clue what kind of income he was making in Russia.
Think I'm crazy? Two words Iran-Contra.

Are louse lips contagious? Council, please get that checked before the next meeting.

Regarding you post script, please explain why the Russians would give $.02 for the Democratic emails?? Let's be real, this is a smoke screen from the DNC to cover their butts.
Besides, you can not hack something that doesn't exist. The emails were written and now they have been discovered.
Think about it, the FBI could not find anything to charge Hillary with concerning her emails as Secretary of State and yet the Russian hackers got into the DNC email files?
Come on, you are smarter than that.

I'm with you Term, a mayoral form of government is best, maybe with a CM, who is only answerable to that mayor. At least the citizens could hold that person accountable!

10:23 My question exactly. It must be just as easy to hack into the RNC? I guess there are to many conscience's?
Now google Paul Manaford Russia. And his ties to Russian politicians? Let's see how smart we both are.
11:22 It's past time for a change.
10:13 fat chance!

Do you really trust the voters to pick a leader when they keep voting in the same old clueless council people in? What if nobody ran besides Ms. McMahon and Mr.Carson? Than What?

You misspelled Loose. There is a big difference between louse and loose. Therefore
louse lips comment makes no sense to readers.

Nothing online, no notice from council, what is going on? Is there a plan in place to replace Carson or was he just let go? Council needs to keep residents in the loop on this! Carson is still front and center on the city's website. If we follow the city's lead we might be waiting until Christmas. Town Hall meeting was pretty upbeat in lieu of this change.

I heard that "The Chief Building Official" also resigned. What's Happening Painesville?

SO, you think a mayor would be better? Who would run for mayor? I'd guess any of the council members would and since you feel they are useless, how would you feel with any one of them as mayor for the city? Seems once a person is in a political position they stay forever as the voters dont seem to want to do their homework and pick the better candidate, just the one with the popular name they have become comfortable with. Think Kennedy, Bush and Clinton

10:01 Don't know but Einstein once said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again same thing over and over again, but expecting different results. It's time to take this out of an inept council's hands. CM are to 'insulated' from the public.
7:05 If so I guess we may find out in December?
4:17 NADA!
3:30 Thanks for the spelling correction. But does anything around here make sense?

I look at council people who are sitting at the table who absolutely should not be there, Fitzgerald comes to mind first. he was elected! this it what worries me about a mayor. people who get on council stay on council until they die or can't stand it any more.... that is what worries me about a mayor. just no easy answer here..... wondering if it could be put on the ballot to see how residents feel about it.

Saw a news article indicating that Carson was in the running for the CM job down in Statesboro, GA........

4:58 Statesboro? They have a mayor form of government? Can't blame him for looking though? His job is to manage council is to direct. Take my word that doesn't happen here. Council's mission is to vote YES and maybe argue about sidewalks for 20 minutes at meetings. Then after they give all this power to a city manager if the CM decides to discipline a department head, he's our friend you can't do that! Then why did you give him the authority?
Did Tony Carson make some mistakes? Sure who doesn't but his three years here there has been progress made. Compare to the last six years of the former CM. Plus he was left with a mess. He never lied to me he was transparent with information I asked for. And in the end Painesville needs Carson more than Carson needs Painesville.
2:59 Well the city voted for all the council people. I'm insulted by all the meetings he misses. (inside joke)

AND it is the job of a department head to run their departments also. This is not what happened with Mr Carson. He oversaw and micromanaged departments instead of letting those in charge do their jobs. His undermining the authority of those department heads lead to a major decline in the morale of city employees. Happy people, happy employees.

Heard in through the grape vine CHECK IT OUT! Carson didn't get job in Georgia and is not leaving for another job. what does that mean to P'ville? Simply he will at least draw another $80,000.00 since he is a few weeks into his contract extension we could be looking worst case scenario $200,000. Then look at the reserve numbers and compare to when he got here (ask the question and buy some tissue).
count his accomplishments that weren't already in the process when he got to the "ville", ask the surrounding communities their thoughts, ask a contractor how much we will pay to preserve his cross walks when they have to pave around them or rip them out, get the real price of streetscape. I've found that the way to judge and leader, politician, etc. is see what happens 1 or 2 years after they leave. Carson has left many other jobs after 2-3 years in the same manner. All he has done is use and abuse the City and fooled Term. Sad but true.

4:51 Well I've proven over and over spending money was never council's forte.
Look what he walked into? That's not the way to judge leadership.
His crosswalks? His streetscape.
You want to talk about someone fooling TERM let me take you back say 9 years.
What's sad is that your on the city payroll!

At July 27, 2016 at 6:09 PM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

10:48 And what oversight should a CM have when Department heads abuse employee's. You want to talk about that?
When a department head tells you something will cost 10 million and comes in at 14 even shorting the length of the project?
Happy people, happy employee's what about happy resident's who pay the freight?

4:51 - I never said he GOT another job. I said he was "in the running for" another job. See this article: http://www.statesboroherald.com/section/1/article/75163/

OK I went to the Statesboro site. It appears this happened near July 4. Yes, Mr Carson was named as one of four finalists. It appears this happened near July 4. We and council know he applied for other jobs. Statesboro, Marathon and another I cant remember. That said, its clear he does not want to be here, why the fuss about letting him go. Its his choice to apply elsewhere so council should bid him goodbye.

that's funny, same old song, Micromanaging. I first heard the term when McMhon was in charge. Again Dept. heads grumbled about micromanaging. Somebody has to be in charge and steer the ship, Dept Heads trim the sails. Figure it out, there is a chain of command.

At July 29, 2016 at 8:52 AM , Anonymous TERM>> said...

4:23 Let me ask you would you want to stay here? I am sure Mr. Carson seen the writing on the wall? Trying to run this city between the goofs on council and the department heads, he would be foolish not to look. I'm I to assume everyone who applies for a job should be canned?
6:24 Some department heads have done some poor guesstimation?

Term,
With the comments you make, someone really thinks this is an official City site??
I guess PT Barnum was right.
