"ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL" pink floyd

More good news from the people that brought us Prairie State Energy Campus. Those wonderful people at Peabody Energy.

Peabody Energy posted a $787 million dollar loss in 2014. This along with their stock price closing at $2.62 Friday not a very healthy financial picture is it?

Well how would all this come to the steps of the good people of Painesville?

It seems according to Reuters News Agency it reveals America's largest coal company, Peabody Energy, doesn't have sufficient funds or insurance to clean up and reclaim its own mines.

If federal coal regulators don't act. Painesville as well as other Prairie State participants could be on the hook for the Lively Grove Mine clean up. Remember that "Take or Pay" contract.

Do you understand now why Peabody diversified itself of 95% of Prairie State?

Now in the past when the coal companies were prosperous Peabody qualified for a policy of "self-bonding" in which coal companies are allowed to forgo private clean up insurance if they possess sufficient financial resources.

Well they don't, but they believe they should still qualify for the program.

Wonder if Peabody has to buy insurance what that will add to our electric costs?

As I have mentioned before. The gift that just keeps on giving!

I would think that buying insurance would be the least of our problems, and it's probably too late to buy insurance for something that has already occurred. We're actually probably on the hook for the clean up costs, and how much could that be?! How many millions and millions over how many decades?

Where in the heck are the investigations already, and not only into the company and the company people, but we need every person who voted yes on these projects investigated...especially Hada and McMahon. They were such obvious and unbelievable bad deals, and all the citizens were telling them so, but still they voted yes. We need the feds, and we need them now. Is anyone investigating these things?

4:28 Sometimes people just listen to the wrong people. How and why they would enter a deal such as this only they can answer.

is there truth to the rumor that councilmen and other city officials got huge scholarships for their kids from AMP for supporting them? That doesn't sound legal. Definitely not ethical.

Term 8:34...oh, I think that little/huge question should be left up to investigators, and not just passed off as sometimes people listen to the wrong people, and only they know why they voted for it. Is anyone investigating this issue at all?

Didn't some of the communities that fell for this scam start, or ask for, some sort of investigation(s)?
