"AUTUMN LEAVES" eric clapton

Look it that time of year, less grass cutting more leaf raking and soon snow shoveling.

My question to ask today  is this is the time of year that I crave chili, macaroni-cheese  and less hamburgers and fried chicken any idea where the best spots nearby to for go for a great bowl of  chili? I love Stouffers Mac-Cheese but has any nearby restaurant have a special formula on either of these two items?
Myself I'm not a fan of clambakes but many are. Where or who has the best of those?

Any other ideas about a special soup or other fall specialties, that can be purchased locally?

Yes, a wonderful time of year, gardens being put to bed, fall raking. I still love the smell of burning leaves, but have learned to keep the obligatory hot dog and stick handy when the obligatory fire dept. visit comes to my house. That's OK, they just laugh and I offer a hot dog all around, they tell me to let it just die down. I guess my neighbors don't like leaf fires, not sure why, was a ever weekend occurrence as I grew up.

I would recommend residents to stop by the fire dept. just to say hello, these are good people. Don't ask about levies, talk about life and how they got to be where they are. Some very impressive training and backgrounds there. You will find it enjoyable.

Not sure what's up in police. Seems to be a lockdown. You won't find an open door like in the fire dept. Security for another "what if" I guess, be nice if they walk around sometimes.

So true how our cooking habits are weather related. Make a big pot of this or that and end up scurrying to the neighbors to share, this is good. Neighbor came by and told me he was going to retire his garden in the spring and put in some chicken wire and three piglets next summer. I said oh my, my neighbors don't like leaf smoke, a couple pigs might put them over the edge. Good Luck on the chili.

my neighbors are into cock fighting. Can't believe this is allowed. And yes, I've complained, but nothing seems to be done. I'd take leaf burning any day. Actually, I do.

12:16 you might want to start bee keeping. I'd put the hives on the property line .

8:56 that's illegal. What's wrong with the PPD. Please pursue this further, this is a terrible thing. Please go to city hall to follow through and take the names of the police that looked the other way. Maybe this would kill 2 birds with 1 stone if these are illegals too.
