"I WILL FOLLOW YOU" ricky nelson

A mountain no a hill to high to keep you away from me.

See Chardon Board of Education had a meeting in the Canfield Building Monday evening at 6:30 P.M.

Well I would love to tell you I found out how Chardon felt about Dr. Hanlons  modified contract. That will have to wait for the second Monday of August.

The only thing I can tell you is the pale look that came over the good doctors face as I walked in and sat in the second row. The ghost from Painesville past comes to visit? Within a minute Dr. Hanlon and the President of the BOE left the room.

Next came the meeting. The agenda meeting. Yes Chardon has special meetings for ONLY agenda items? Yet I signed sheet to speak during non-agenda items.

After the agenda items were finished the BOE went into executive session.

I asked the lady do we leave the room or do they?
She told me the meeting was over. I asked what happened to the non-agenda portion?
Oh, this is a 'special' meeting for our new superintendent to get up to speed.
Than why did I sign up to speak on the non-agenda list?
Well would you like to speak to someone? No just tell them I will be back the second Monday in August. That will give them plenty of time to get their stories straight, I guess.

I'm not even upset, it was worth the gasoline just to capture the look on Dr. Hanlons face.

The BOE did pass a Levy Resolution 5.9 Mills.

Questions:
If the good PhD left the room, how were they going to bring him up to speed?

Was he hiding until the "meeting" was over?

Does getting brought "up to speed" factor in as one of the criteria for executive session?

Maybe Chardon is getting what they deserve if this is the way they run their meetings and treat the voters in their District.

What? The BOE went into an excutive session, then left the building? They didn't end the executive session in public? They just left? Oh, the meeting is over? That's what she said? So what good are any of these public boards - they don't follow the laws of the state and they do as they please.

7:23/6:52 This could be my fault. After Dr. Hanlon watched me sit in the second row, He garnered the attention of the President of the BOE they left the room for a minute and then proceed back to their chairs. Then the meeting started.
I was told the BOE was going into executive session? The public all left the meeting room, I was told my a lady that was employed by the school board that the meeting had ended. I didn't feel going there and starting something would be such a good idea.
My purpose was to find out how the Chardon BOE felt about Dr. Hanlons 'modified' contract. Mr. Grippi has claimed that this is where he got it, so they must be aware of it? Also I am sure no Chardon residents are aware of any such modified contract. Which I believe the purpose of the BOE not to let me speak? Informing the residents of Chardon find out that their new superintendent was serving two masters I believe would not serve them well.

Now I have been told that this modified contract saves our city schools $40,000. Please explain and show me how.
What was the date of the end of Dr. Hanlons contract? July, December when?
Not just myself but many people heard Dr. Hanlon's claim he was retiring from his position to spend more time with his family. What changed his mind?
And mostly what benefit this $111,000 modified contract serves Painesville student's the best?
Kathy, I must learn to think quicker on my feet.

Chardon Ordinances:

If Council holds an executive session to consider any of the matters listed in this section, the motion and vote to hold that executive session shall state which one or more of the approved matters listed in those divisions are to be considered at the executive session. Minutes of an executive session shall be taken by the Clerk or member of Council and shall be open to public inspection; provided, however, that the minutes need only reflect the general subject matter of discussion in executive session.

So I'm guessing you can ask for the minutes, and I'm guessing "to bring the new guy up to speed" won't be listed as an approved reason to call the executive session in the first place.

And that would be whose feet?
Are you really that big a coward?
How about some names of people that you think have "power"?
In case you don't realize it, these folks work for us, not the other way around.
Besides that, what on earth do you think they can do to Term or anyone else?

You would be shocked at the damage those people can do. After working for the schools,I've seen it all. Told what to do all for the kids, but they do not practice what they preach when it comes to their employees. Complete turn around. Lie, rude, 2 faced, bullies. And no one wants to hear it, made to believe all is wonderful.

I would say the same thing about many of the city workers, 5:02... Liars, rude, 2-faced, bullies.

6: NOT all city workers. Some should be commended for their service during last weeks flood. Heard many good stories about two firefighters helping residents in the north end.

This is 6:31. I agree. I said many - not ALL city workers. I, myself, received wonderful help from the fire chief recently...was very impressed and appreciative.
