A friend looking for a house questioned me about Painesville. I asked him what his price range was? $300,000 to $350,000 he answered. Well I exclaimed Painesville is the place for you. We can easily put you into 10 or 11 homes for that price. One for each day of the week and have 3 left for company!
Truly I hope not a soul spent a dime on this!
Something I learned today that DrumpF might have a point. I believed the reason Ford was building that billion dollar assembly plant in Mexico was cheap labor. Well I was only half right. It seems if you build a Ford Focus or any product here in the states and say you ship it to a country in Europe the vehicle is hit with a stiff tariff. If you build that Ford Focus or any product in Mexico and you ship it to Europe guess what, Zero tariff same company same product. Now how can anyone be a supporter of 'Free' trade?

10:16 your probably right. I was thinking of that development by Horvath's Lagoons? Just as you get ready to go over the bridge into Fairport.
Maybe called Windjammers Cove, Moby Dick Estates, It's hard to keep up.
For a person who prides himself in living in and knowing Painesville, by posting this blog you should know what you are talking about and check what you say before you post it. To confuse property from Mentor to Painesville is wrong. So is dismissing it as being hard to keep up with. Know before you post.

There are so many condo and housing developments that remembering the name of any of them is tough.
The only one I know for sure is Heisley Park. The rest of them, who cares, they are still in P-town.

4:08 Yes, But I was incorrect. The city's interest in Windjammer's Court is even bigger then the Refuse contract.
The plot of land extended from the river to the back of the land cost a well known developer $93,000. Then Painesville under the leadership of our former city manager as well as then council-president purchased a third of the property nearest and into the river for the City of Painesville for $250,000 hence the name Horvath's Lagoons! So the usable property was worth $40,000 and the most worthless $250,000. Don't believe me ask your present council person of property owned by the city.
Loved the picture on This Is Painesville Facebook of a picture of city workers throwing trash in a recycling bin in front of the fire station with a dumpster marked Waste Management and City of Painesville filled with money? Although it was photo shopped it still was very funny!
