"WANNA BE STARTIN' SOMETHIN' michael jackson
"You got to be startin' somethin'
Looking back at the situation we find us in, I guess it's pretty easy to see how it got started.
First the infamous letter sent by then Council-President William Horvath. Sent on official City of Painesville Stationary without a vote by other council members and in the end we found out it was composed by Veronica Dahlberg and then sent to Ohio Senator Mike DeWine. None of these meeting took place in the public view only how and why did this collaboration take place and why. Mr. Horvath was not censored or disciplined by the rest of council.
Then the cherry on top of the Sundae Seems to be when Councilwoman Abbey DelaMotte somehow got on national FOXNEWS and welcomed legal as well as illegal Mexicans to live in Painesville, Ohio?
Even FOXNEWS seemed confused?
Was she speaking for Council? The administration? Herself? Who and how was the connection made with FOX and by whom? Best question why?
So I went into the blogs. archives and retrieved the three minute and forty-four second interview with Mrs. DelaMotte and the FOXNEWS anchors.
Ask yourself even though you aren't even a city resident you somehow convince a council-president and agree for him to plagiarize a letter put it on official city stationary and send it to a U.S. Senator?
How do you get on FOXNEWS? and claim that Painesville is an amnesty city?
How does one get on the Painesville Chamber of Commerce?
How does one get to be on as some representative member at Lake Erie College?
Best guess? There were many secret meeting going on eight to ten years ago and VD knew how to infiltrate into many organizations. For the good of the city? or for illegals?
I failed on that mission........ But go to the Archives to the right of the main blog. to August 2008 fourth post down YOU ASKED? and watch and listen to her interview. Then come back and question why things are the way they are?
Then I attend a council meeting on July 20,2015 and the city has no idea how this city gained it's reputation?

Now look at all the trouble councilman Flock has gone though with his concern and letter to the Ohio Attorney General who just happens to be former senator Mike Dewine?
These people are gone from public service but the things they did they should be ashamed of.
It sure is going to be shocking when PAINESVILLE CITY receives the bill for JUAN EMMANUEL RAZO defense. It should be the responsibility of the town which he lived to pay for the expense. " what say you"
Thanks for the recap in this post. I had never actually seen the Fox News segment with DelaMotte, for one thing. And as this city denies that they ever made us a sanctuary city, it is good for the citizens to see that, yes, they did. What about the council meeting where they invited all the illegals to come and tell them how they appreciated being safe in our city, and how they were now having children and raising their families here. Do you have access to show that? Also, maybe you could reprint Horvath's letter to DeWine?
Not directly related but kind of important anyway.
Today Juan Razo went before the Judge to get his bail lowered.
His attorney seems to say that the defense will be one of mental issues.
Thankfully the Judge refused to lower the bail.
Think about this.
His "excuse" for what he did is that he has mental issues and yet he feels he should be allowed to post bail and would be out in public again.
Does that make ANY sense?
Keep him locked up and away from the citizens.
3:07 It's kinda like a person the kills his parents and look at the Judge for leniency because he's an orphan.
2:59 The City of Painesville never passed any kind of ordinance that we were a sanctuary city. My point was to let you see where you and others might get that idea. Will try to find that letter. I have to ask what difference would it make?
1:13 What say I ?, The county is on the hook for his defense. His trial will be in the Lake County Courthouse. Check into it. Let's hope he pleads out? Nah I don't think he will. Does he own any property in Painesville?
Why was bail set at all? Does bail always have to be set? Especially for someone who is not even in their own country. He'd just go back to Mexico. I don't understand why bail is always set.
This is 2:59 to 4:27. A city doesn't have to declare officially that it is a sanctuary city to be a sanctuary city. Between Horvath's letter, DelaMotte going on national radio to say we want and love our illegals, and that they can come here unencumbered to live and buy houses, that's what they were doing. Add to that the council meeting where all the illegals came and told all the proud council people thank you for having them all come to Painesville and making them feel safe here, and now they were having children and raising their families here, along with the way the police have adopted leniency towards the illegals, and that makes a sanctuary city. As Salvi said, if it walks like a duck...
Term 4:27. What Painesville City leaders did was enough to bring all these illegals here. Clearly the illegals thought/think this is a sanctuary city, and that is directly from the actions/words of our city leaders. The difference it makes is that now the city leaders are denying that they did anything to create the illegal problem here, and that is not the truth by any long shot at all. Will it stop the invasion? Probably not. Probably too late for that. But what they did was wrong, and I want the lies about it to stop. This city asked for illegals, and then there has been nothing but complicity since they got here, and now they just keep coming. That's one of the problems with illegals -- there is just no end to them -- there are always millions and millions more coming.
Isn't Mrs. Abbey DelaMotte just something. After you watch her on Fox News speaking for Painesville, without the permission of any Painesville residents, asking for legal and illegal Mexicans to come here, then watch and listen to her deny at the council meeting that she was speaking for the city. What did she say? That "we" could have been anyone?!!!...not the City of Painesville, but it could have been her friends, her neighbors, etc. Man, what a slime ball. But the chicken came back to roost in someone else's coop, didn't it?
4:02 leave a lot about how and why. If she wasn't speaking for the city why did she identify herself as a council member?
5:39 council's claim It ain't me and to some extent they are correct. But maybe they should correct the wrongs of the past. Council members were recently sent a profanity laced email that closed with the blood of Mrs. Kostelnik on their hands. Also one site would not take Painesville off there santuary list due to this blog. Although I may never have called Painesville a sanctuary city many comments left here believe we are.
And all law enforcement should tighten the screws. Our sheriff makes claims but for some reason the one in Arizona must not have got the memo.
First off the county should resend the Mexican Maticular Card for a start. As well as put a clamp on VD. Am I to believe if the uncle had his green card none of this would have happened? I do know if he wasn't here it wouldn't have.
This is much like the current Council's claim that the lousy state of our roads is not due to them.
Technically that is correct.
However, they all lobbied for or ran for a position on Council.
With that you get some good and you get some bad.
Many politicians seem to think that they only have to kiss babies and attend luncheons and everyone will think highly of them.
It doesn't work that way. Occasionally you have to make decisions that are not popular. You have to step up and be the leader you were elected to be.
I agree with Term that it is time for our elected leaders (specifically those in law enforcement) to do the job they are paid to do.
If they pull someone over and there is no identification, stop whining about the Feds and do the job just as you would with any WASP you pull over.
As a tax paying citizen, I would rather detain someone in the jail (whatever the cost) until we know who they are and why they are here. Otherwise bad things can (and did) happen.
Profiling seems to be a bad word but if it saves lives, who cares?
4:44
I am guessing that when the bail was set, he was not yet charged with the murder. I am thinking that the Judge knew what he was doing and then set the bail so high that there was little likelihood of reaching it.
Also, here are some parts of the Bill of Rights that seem to apply.
Article the seventh... No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
Article the eighth... In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.
Article the ninth... In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.
Article the tenth... Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.
Term 7:44. Yes, good idea. The county should stop accepting the Mexican Maticular cards. For one thing, I have heard that so many of them are falsified, that it would be impossible to know a legitimate one if you saw it. That would be a good place to start. I believe this is one of the issues the Rally Team (Painesville Grass Roots Rally Team they call themselves, or something similar) has worked hard to remedy. They can correct me if I am wrong, but I do believe that is correct. Maybe now we can all join them in their fight for our city, county and country.
4:11 Former councilmen Hal Werner took care of the card as far as it being used by the City of Painesville1 as identification. Now the County that's another matter.
Commissioner Moran may have to deal with that issue when Kim Laurie debates her?
